#Is artemis torso meta

Really good anti titan torso.
Most of your team will want to hard focus it, so 20% more damage from most of your team will take them down real quick.
ok so what weapons would benefit most from the damage boost?
Zeus?
Also, it's not craft able yet, so get it for sure just to have it.
i use it with locusts, u could use it on any build with a synergist pilot and also use it to snipe low health enemies who are fighting your allies so that their kill can get you and your allies additional healing as well
I haven't had luck with any sniper weapons.
I feel you'd really need a weapon with a lot of up time or hit hard fast, so Assault, or Flanker weapons probably
what gears are good for an "anti titan" build
suppresor/ flashbang?
Gozer?
dont answer that i can make an assumption
One of the options I’ve used is - artemis torso, raven shoulders, siren torso, 4 gozers, supply surge and ghost turret with a pilot who has the synergist skill. It helped me get a lot of assists which kept my ability cooldown low and i was able to keep using my core gear
This is what i am using right now and it would be good against titans too
Artemis torso
Raven shoulders
Cyclops legs
4 locusts
Ghost turret
Supply Surge
You can use the Fury Vega pilot as well if you do not have Sora Sing
ok thanks
ok what abt slugger?
Slugger is a good brawling weapon even now
That kind of depends on the Titan.
Repulsor is really good again Grim for example, because they usually dive in and pop all of their abilities.
So if you can bait them into attacking you you just repulsor away, then come back in and they have no tricks left to fight you with.
so yes artemis slugger would work?
Slugger is a brawling weapon while the Artemis is more of a tactician torso (not a brawling torso, more of a midrange torso) so the combination might require a lot of extra careful handling
so what weapons qualify as tactitian weapons that are also not snipers?
@modern stump
Currently all Snipers are classes as Tactician.
The closest thing would be Tridents, they are Assault and Autocannon, for some reason.
They are an explosive ballistic rocket.
Feels closer to a sniper than an auto cannon.
Locusts have the advantage of applying direct damage as well as damage over time. They are weak against shields so i use a ghost turret supply gear with it as well. I play the locusts only at their max effective range to keep applying corrosion on the enemy and i use the torso ability and the build more as a finishing move or a supporting build. You can test most of your build combos by building them in the workshop and testing them against the AI in the testing range too. Sluggers need more upfront brawling due to how their projectile travel differs from Locusts so they would need more upfront brawling rather than being able to engage at a distance.
ok so is artemis isnt a tactitian torso cause you said you had no luck with snipers?
maybe im not understanding what the roles mean
I guess its because the enemy generally becomes very aware of snipers and will try to keep a track of where they are and avoid coming into a direct line of fire from them
So while it is a tactician torso, using it on a build that makes the enemy even more alert about your presence will not suit it more and that’s why weapons with a lot of up time or the ability to keep continuously hitting the enemy might be better.
i thinks i need a rundown of why the meta is meta
im not understanding the roles each weapon/torso does
nucleon maybe?
Nucleons have a slower projectile speed and maybe require more assault type engagement so perhaps it might not be a good idea to use them with the Artemis torso. If u see a weapon, u can generally see what it is classified as in its description
what makes locust different from slugger? the DoT? slugger has more range though so how is it more of a brawler compared to locust?
Just to give an example while digressing a bit, check out these three weapon examples, we can see the tactician class mentioned so sometimes we refer to weapons as such when talking about them
Locust projectiles can travel as an arc so we do not need to directly engage with the enemy. However, slugger projectiles travel in a straight-ish line so we would need a direct line of sight of the enemy. That is why when i use locusts with the Artemis torso, i can use it more in a supportive (perhaps tactical) capacity by applying damage over time to ppl who my allies are engaged with.
It’s also dependent on how you use the torso of course.Yesterday i met someone who was using the torso on a flanker for executions
WRF is special in the way that ppl have the freedom to use whatever they want however they want to, if they can develop their playstyle to match their vision
yeah alot different from MA where there 5 meta builds and nothing else works
ok thanks that really helps alot
Please feel free to ping or DM me if you have any questions about the game and I’d be happy to answer to the best of my ability 🤝
artemis torso ability is great, especially as a team support player, and its balanced by its high cd rate
be sure to heavily ping the target you mark so your team knows for sure that you've marked them. typically I like to mark targets that are extremely out in the open and/or have less than 50% hp left to ensure it becomes a successful kill and heal for my teammates and I
Best imo
Unless you count the "I need to have my barrel in your mouth to do damage" then it isn't
second best brawler after velites
