With the upcoming patch, Ceres is receiving its third nerf to Rejuvenator’s repair strength. While the first two adjustments were understandable due to how strong the healing initially was, this latest change feels excessive.
Before this patch, Ceres’ Rejuvenator had already settled into a modest, steady level that created a healthy balance across the roster. Now, at 0.9% or 1.8% when near ally, its so minimal that it only meaningfully benefits the Defenders, drastically reducing Ceres’ overall viability and narrowing its intended role. While Tyr's Repair Drone, in terms of repairs, would be recommended for essentially every other class: Assaults, Flankers, Tacticians.
Prior to patch, Ceres' Rejuvenator favored Assaults and Defenders while Tyr's Repair Drone favored Flankers and Tacticians, exactly split down the middle of the roster.
In fact, as the meta shifts away from the tank meta, when/if we receive more balance updates that nerfs the heaviest tanks armors down similar to how Ravana's armor got nerfed this patch, Ceres' Rejuvenator should actually get a slight buff to offset the difference in the NEW REDUCED MAXIMUMS.
In my opinion, repairs definitely contributed to the impact of the tank meta, but I don’t believe Ceres is the main issue right now. The bigger problem seems to be the percentage-based gear that hasn’t been adjusted since tanks were buffed—specifically the Nanite Repair and Quick Repair modules. Because they scale by percent per second and are universally available, their healing output remains extremely strong, especially on high-HP builds. I think something like Nanite Repair would have been more appropriate to be rebalanced from 3% for 10s to 2% for 15s instead, especially during the transitioning period, and not Ceres' Rejuvenator. #1451775384667295997 message
See attached photos for BEFORE and AFTER charts of bots/titans who favor Ceres or Tyr's repair. (charts do not factor in ability duration or cooldown time, only amount healed and % healed per module)
