Can we have an ADULT Only Channel for deeper discussions?

In my eyes age has nothing to it. it is just an excuse to get the upper end in an argument.
most thread that are getting closed are either digressing from their initial topic or with people just screaming usually opposite arguments without listening to the counterpart so are not bringing anything to the table

I don't disagree about digressing, but its very common for adults to digress before coming to a better understanding or agreement. Thats real life. We have a tendency to shut things down before that ever happens. There is always an initial wall that you have to break down.

From my experience with interacting with these channels I've found its brand a majority of adults participating in ragebait (could be wrong i don't know everyone's exact age)

When you toggle an age-restricted setting on a channel, it changes how the server is categorized.

Furthermore, "Adults should be able to handle it" does not exempt a server from Discord’s Terms of Service and Discord Community Guidelines.

Those channels still require heavy moderation (even more than regular ones) to ensure they don't breach ToS, which as a community server, we will not tolerate.

In a nutshell, a channel like the one you're proposing will bring more hassle than benefits.

The TOS isn't an concern there (I assume you haven't read it, as that more addresses how the content is owned, and what what you can distribute etc.) The Community Guidelines portion that really applies to what we MIGHT see is the Bullying and Harrassment section:

Sexual harassment, which includes sending unwelcome or unwanted sexual content to an individual or unwanted sexualization of another individual
Disclosing an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity without the individual’s consent
Calling for the suicide or self-harm of others
Coordinating off-platform harassment
Organizing or participating inserver raids
Statements of disrespect that attempt to humiliate an individual
Posting content with the intent to cause disgust, anger, or fear, including content that mocks the death of an individual

All of which SHOULD be concerned with, but none of which i've really seen in any discussion or argument that gets closed unless you REALLY stretch the "disrespect that attempts to humiliate an individual"

So honestly what I'm proposing doesn't violate any of the TOS, nor would it require more than normal monitoring.

You are missing the point. Although i did mention them, this isn't a debate about the technical definitions of the Community Guidelines.

This server is a hub for game discussion and player help, conducted in a civilized manner. We have zero interest in hosting a space where the goal is to see how close people can get to the "Bullying and Harassment" line before a moderator has to step in.

And the decision stands, i reiterate
An age restricted channel is not happening.
