#Rework the Fowler to be an actual heavy tusk

The Fowler is a charged flak cannon like the tusk with high ammo capacity ok damage and short reload for those who forgot its existence (I don’t blame yall)
However it is absolutely nothing like its way better counterpart with inferior damage and range and is outclassed by tusks in every way.

If it’s a heavy weapon which are more difficult to put on a build shouldn’t it do higher damage than its lighter counterpart?

I propose that Fowler also get a rework treatment like tusk to match them both up and so it’s actually worth it to use these weapons

Idrk, im not keen on the absurd reload on tusk.

They do fit together too if you fire off all the shots, reload times match.

Tusks out damage fowlers even though they're light weapons, something is wrong there. I would like to use fowlers but they aren't good

The only thing that comes to mind that the Fowler could use is a faster projectile speed. I like the weapon, but the current projectile speed is slow enough to make things kind of awkward even at very close ranges, and obviously even more so if you try to utilize the long(er) ranged charged shots. Faster projectile speed would make the weapon a lot more capable at the close-mid range, but the charge time needed to fight effectively there would still keep it from being OP.

save fowlers

the only thing folwers need are a projectile speed increase, and maybe a damage buff of 5%

#

and reduce recharge time by .1 or .2 seconds

& more damage.

I'd personally like to see a rate of fire increase as that is what's hindering its dps in comparison to the tusk

Fowler damage is pretty darn high, but outside of very close range, quickly becomes difficult to consistently apply to the target module due to the fairly slow projectile. I think that if that speed were increased, it would be wise to hold off on improving it's damage, charge rate, or rate of fire, until people had had some time to assess the performance gains therefrom. It would be very easy to over-buff the weapon.
