#The Worst Update Ever

This update is the most disgraceful one I've witnessed since playing this game.

1. Game-Breaking Homing Missile Bug

The cyclic skill "Homing Missile" currently deals 90,000 damage due to a critical value error, enabling instant kills even against Titans. Such a catastrophic bug warrants an immediate hotfix in any competent game. Yet, the devs remain inactive—no emergency patch, no timeline. Your inaction suggests you're "making too much money to even waddle to your computers?" [😤]

2. Abysmal Matchmaking "Improvements"

The matchmaking system remains utter garbage. Noachium-tier queues now take 8-10 minutes, yet you refuse to fill lobbies with AI bots. Are you this desperate to inflate daily active users (DAU) by forcing players to idle?

3. Battle Pass Scams & Broken Promises

  • Reward gutting: Last season, you replaced promised Premium currency with "equivalent resources" — a lie. Premium grants mission refreshes and privileges, while resources are worthless for rerolling your garbage portal tasks.
  • Pay-to-Win escalation: This season’s Battle Pass Page 4 gives 260 Intel — directly violating your "no pay-to-win" pledge. From Ceres to this, you keep testing players' limits. Do you think we're all idiots?

I do agree on the first point that need to be addressed soon.
for the second point actually the matchmaker can't handle teams better than before once the noachiums realise they just need to do 3 stacks they will still steamroll lobbies twice as often for casual player as the matchmaker is still unable to balance even with a 3 men team (from the 4-5games I have done since the update).
For the 3rd point actually I think that you will now be able to get to all the 4 pages as a free to play but I have still to grind the battle pass so it would be alright

Also I do agree that if the homing missile is “bugged” it should be disable or have a fixed asap.

#

If you are able to get all the intel on the BP being a f2p then I see nothing wrong

You're overly optimistic—free players have zero chance of unlocking all Page 4 rewards; it's strictly paywalled content. As for matchmaking, the solution is simple: split queues into Casual and Ranked modes. Instead, they've jammed everything into a dysfunctional mess. This disastrous update has already driven many players around me to quit.

Adding to the chaos, two game-breaking bugs remain unaddressed:

  1. Ricochet Pilot Talent Bug: Equipping Magneto weapons triggers splash damage anomalies (10K-20K extra damage).
  2. Unfixed Homing Missile Bug (previously reported 90K damage).

In any competent game, these would warrant emergency patches. Yet the devs move at a snail's pace—no ETA, no hotfix announcements. If they can't manage basic quality control, perhaps they should hand the project to competent developers.

Remember S1? A promising start. Now S2 drowns us in constant, inept balance patches and sneaky pay-to-win schemes. Player patience is exhausted.

Hey friends! We’ve seen some confusion about the Battle Pass that launched today, so we wanted to clarify a few changes we've made.

All 4 pages of the Battle Pass are now accessible to all players. Only certain rewards on each page are locked behind Battle Pass Gold, marked with a gold lock icon. Without Battle Pass Gold, you can still claim the standard rewards across all 4 pages, including all the Intel on Page 4. With Battle Pass Gold, you’ll be able to unlock all rewards and progress through them much faster.

Then could you explain why the Battle Pass removed the 6 days of free Premium previously available? The resources given as substitutes cannot fully replace the benefits of Premium accounts. Frankly speaking:

  • With ongoing upgrade discounts, many players hoard resources for discount periods.
  • Veteran players now suffer from Intel overflow but desperately need Credits and Salvage.
  • Premium's true value lies in:
    ✓ Extra Daily/Weekly job refreshes
    50% battle earnings boost
    These are irreplaceable.

I would only say we are flowing in intel because they are doing so much intel discounts. But yea it’s kinda hard to gather credits and salvage. I honestly wish we would get salvage from every match. It would be nice to have that.

That's a good idea, but a lot of players have quit and barely any new players are joining. Matchmaking times have been getting longer, leading to fewer battles per day. In high-tier matches, everyone runs strong builds, causing drawn-out stalemates and longer match durations. After recent updates, my friends and I all feel credit earnings from battles have become less and less efficient.

And is there a way for them to interact with the community

Getting feedback to the right team is the biggest part of my job! The Community Managers go through the feedback y'all leave here and across socials, and we write up reports for them. So the best way to be heard by them is to post about it here. They are busy doing the actual making of the game with the coding and stuff so we do the feedback gathering.

People do like hearing that the cm are actually responding towards their feedback and are reporting towards the devs. We just like confirmation and not just,”will the devs see this or not”.

Oooo I think scrap from matches was a great suggestion too. That's poetically the worst grind.

This game is already on thin ice with a huge portion of the players with the poop show that has been this season update with all the bugs and we just kept on through it.

And this is our reward? The ceres drop and this new battlepass rework are a literal rocketship towards a fully pay to win game.

Even if the gear eventually becomes craftable, anything that is overpowered (most things upon release) gets its nerf before it becomes craftable.

This translates to a directly pay to win scheme in which the people who buy every battlepass and buy the random $40 bots you release on the side will stomp the brains in of free players in any situation where their skill is comparable to each other.

We have been hanging on trusting that the quality and polish of the game will reach acceptable levels and maybe one day we might even see a new map...... and the Devs or Pubs decided instead of that they will just crank up the monetization to 12 and hope they've got enough players to roped in to a sunk cost fallacy to get their own little crossout situation going.

This update is a direct insult and slap in the face of every player.

The only new rewards in the BP locked to Battle Pass Gold specifically is the Torso, some resource and cosmetics. The Torso can be obtained though Daily Deals as well for everyone, and the blueprints will be added to account progress in future as usual.

Ofc it is guaranteed that Battle Pass Gold can obtain the full new Robot Build easier and faster than Standard Battle Pass. But is it not exclusive to Battle Pass Gold and everyone can obtain it eventually.

Honestly, I don’t oppose premium Battle Pass rewards allowing paying players to upgrade new robots/weapons faster. What we reject is slashing resources that free players rightfully deserve. This season’s common-tier robot being excluded from free rewards is unacceptable—even if available through Daily Deals. With over 20 bots in rotation, there’s no guarantee it’ll appear. And even if eventually unlocked for all: What if it gets nerfed for being overpowered before free players obtain it? Paying players would still have enjoyed significant gameplay advantage during its prime.**

**Regarding the universally criticized Page 4 Intel rewards: Let me break down the math. The BP has 53 levels. Players earn 1 point per level + 2 points every 5 levels, totaling 58 points. Unlocking Page 4 alone costs 49 points—leaving just 9 points (enough for only 3 rewards) for the entire page. Free players cannot fully claim Page 4. This systematic deprivation is the core issue, and it’s been a red flag since the Ceres incident.

To the first point, obviously nerfing anything after release is not something we want to do, and acknowledge your point it would be negative. Our goal really is not to need to do that, and there is no initial signs Mesa requires nerfs. But we are monitoring feedback around these topic closely and will continue to discuss how we can improve.

The Standard BP allows players to obtain a total of 88 Tokens. Level 35 and levels 40+ all provide 3 tokens.

There is a known bug in Page 3 at the moment that does not allow Standard players to purchase enough to unlock page 4. I believe this is being fixed tomorrow or very soon. One or two rewards are labeled as Gold when they should be standard access.

My first point is not about nerfing things after release or anything to do with Mesa.

Its about the pattern of behavior moving forward potentially becoming as follows:

Release new bot. If it ends up being OP compared to the games current balance as many new releases are, such as a the ceres, then paying will give you immediate access to gameplay advantages, meanwhile the whole community will give feedback the gear is OP. That will result in a nerf, and rightfully so.

But this is where the pay2win line is being toed- If something needs a nerf anc it comes after a few days, great. Fair for the community. But if that nerf comes in after 2-3 months of paid players turning everyone into confetti and around the time the part would be craftable, it would directly be the definition of pay to win.

Not saying the mesa needs a nerf. Im saying I see the recent steps taken to change the battlepass and bot release format (surprise $40 ceres drop and the subsequent obsoletion of the tyr torso is very much a "pay to be a relevant healer" situtation at the moment) as being harmless on their own, but all added together they take us towards a path that promotes a pressure on players to pay if they want to perform as well as everyone who pays on a regular basis if this pattern continues.

Also I think you meant the paid battlepass, unless the complete wrong information is being given out in game. 53 levels, 1 point per level gives 53. 2 points every 5 levels adds 10 to that, giving 63.

ALSO, if currentlylocked rewards will open after an alleged "fix" then how do you refund players that were convinced by to spend their extremely limited BP tokens on garbage to advance the page and try to access the intel drops, and will now return to find out tokens have been wasted, they should have bought the items that are now open to free players but can't get those tokens back?

silver girder
# green shuttle To the first point, obviously nerfing anything after release is not something we...

Thanks for explaining the Battle Pass stuff. My Mesa example was just hypothetical—my real point is: Don't skip giving bots/weapons in free BP passes just because they appear in Daily Deals. The rarity system is broken anyway. Some 'Rare' weapons suck but cost tons to upgrade, while 'Rare' bots like Ceres are strong but barely show up in Deals.**

Short term: Make upgrade costs the same for all rarities.
Long term: Tweak underperforming items to match their rarity labels.

I know this rarity thing might come from the old WR game, but it's poorly implemented. I'll write a separate post about weapon adjustments later. Pass these solutions to the dev team.

Appreciate you guys working hard these days 👍🏻. Hope the devs learn from mistakes and improve the game.

Appreciate the feedback, we'll discuss, our goal is always to make Standard and Gold tracks something all players find value in.

Regrading the fix to page 3, I am not sure many players, if anyone, could have reached that point in the Battle Pass yet. If the change does impact anyone's previous reward or purchase decisions, we'll handle case by case via support.

@solar ermine please make it to where matchmaking in lobbies scales the gear levels to an even number , so that way everyone is on a fun and fair level
Playing field , and gear rank can possibly be considered for ranked extreme competitive league.

So for example, in destiny, everyone is on the same level in terms of gear and damage, just pure true team coordination and damage output and damage received, only in their iron banner or other competitive modes, they put in the gear level.

Devs did talk a lot about plans for Matchmaking in our last Dev Short. Starting here and ending around 08:30. https://youtu.be/RvOHuOXj7GY?si=R3qfHstdPhoLgBly&t=303

One of the points specifically addresses Gear based matchmaking, and it's not something that is planned currently as skill based matchmaking tends to be the better indicator for balanced matches, so the focus is to continue to tweak that first.

I very much think the missile damage was intended and not a bug, but they regarded it as a bug since there was backlash.
