#Alpha Firestorm Size Change

I did notice an instantaneous and remarkable uptick in giant firestorm circles after the patch. I figured a lot of people had just upgraded theirs using the big injection of Intel, but it certainly wouldn't surprise me if there was a stealth / accidental buff, too.
Nahh, it’s been like that for weeks/months.
I've probably died to firestorm more since the start of season 2, then all of my time combined in season 1.
It’s possibly just that now many players have finally upgraded their alpha enough
Could be. The battle pass and twitch drops provided a nice Intel jump start.
dont think its a bug been using it since last season , ive noticed it comes down faster and animation is different, cool down is allot shorter on spawn , i maybe wrong tho
@simple lance do you have comparable data from prior to now?or even videos?
I'll need to reconfirm with my sources. The circle did get bigger, but maybe it was actually bugged to be smaller than full size and is now actually its actual "full size"

Dear god, if it wasn’t 97m before I’m scared to see it now
its now impossible for heavy legs to escape it unless you have a repulsor, blink, sprint or something to get you out
There have been several times since the new season where I've jumped + dashed as soon as I noticed the circle, and still got clipped by it some before I could get completely clear. If you're not already moving (or God forbid, moving in the wrong direction) when one of those huge ones targets you, it's pretty challenging to escape unscathed.
I deleted my initial post because I don't want to leave misinformation. I apologize I may have jumped the gun, but I'll look more into it first because I make another post. it's harder for me to look into it myself because I don't personally have a level 11+ alpha
And if you hit one of those tiny rocks on the ground… 😔

btw it does not come down faster. its still 3.5s loading same as previously. animation is improved so it doesnt look like the firestorm is completed and safe to enter area even though its still active
The delay after spawning is still 10 seconds too, isn't it?
