#Looking for Build advice

This is a build I currently run
Scourges might be replaced with the new Halo weapons, if they perform better.
(all weapons are lvl 1 atm cause idk what I want to max for my builds)
Having trouble with killing enemies, specifically close-range flamers

  • Maximiser talent stops me from killing
  • Lighters have 2-2.5 secs. faster reload than Scourges, which gets me killed nearly every time.

So, is there any 3x-4x light weapons or 2x Heavy weapons that could have comparable firepower against flame rushers?
(chassis and shoulders are replaceable to fit alternate stuff but I do prefer to have high hp)

I’d suggest having a look at a 4x quantum build with the Griffin torso if it’s convenient to u

The Bulwark’s ability doesn’t absorb flames iirc otherwise that would also have been a good option.

Basically the griffin’s ability would help u tank the damage even from invisible flamers and quantums shine in close range which is where flamers need to get to hurt their enemies.

The fury torso might help u with reload issues for ur scourges…

Running the energy wall / particle wall ( i am not able to remember exactly what it is called atm, please excuse me) helps to stop flamers in their track. Since they might spend some fuel trying to get close, the wall helps a lot

perhaps the energy wall to stall/block for reload time....
Is there any preferred pilots for tanks? Currently I'm using Will Washington since he provides a decent amount of damage reduction (and scales the damage reduction on my Ravanna torso per kill)

I think Oracle with Deflector Gizmo is the best for tanks. For close range brawling builds, Sarah Nguyen with prize fighter would also be very useful.

is prize fighter really that good? 7.5k heal doesnt seem like much when being applied to 100k+ health modules

With a tank, if u are able to get kill streaks cuz u can tolerate more incoming damage, those heals should be able to keep u alive longer if u are playing in solo queue and don’t have a healer on ur team

Otherwise deflector gizmo would ofc work well too

would 4x Shredders be better dps than 3x Scourge?

Kate Sinclair is the better choice obviously cuz she has other skills that’d make a tank’s shield.

Please note that i say decent continuous damage and not good nor great.

I'm considering those now cause yeah, that scourge reload gets me mostly dead in a 1v1.
One last thing... would 'Stand still 40k shield' be effective for this build or no?

there is always seeing the enemy incoming beforehand, stand still in cover, and then retrigger it while they reload?

If u have a pilot with that skill already unlocked then please try it out in a live game to see if it works for u otherwise I think that skill might be useful more for sniper builds which are preparing to attack after breaking out from cover.

Having a shield after 3 seconds of immobility which apparently gets removed as soon as we move doesn’t sound like it would help my personal play style (i like to keep moving) so i have a pilot with that skill but I haven’t upgraded it unfortunately
