By “sniper” you mean trebuchet, right? lol
There is more then that there are zues railgun and dragoon
Please have a look at this post when convenient https://discord.com/channels/941368722860417105/1325784891975143454
I run a fast team friendly sniper with 2x Zeus, Tyr Core, on Orochi Legs.
tbh it actually depends on what you actually like in the harpy as I love the mobility and harass capabilities of it
So if you're looking more for a sniper the build kiros shared is really good.
If you want a sniper with more mobility an oroshi (modified to your convenience ) could be better for you.
for mid range then you have even more possibilities 😄
But the harpy is a strong bot from the starter ones
I good mobility and damage...
I just want to be a annoying thing that do damage by long range and the enemy cant touch me
I would then try to look for a 2 zeus build that will give you more mobility than a 3 treb with good dps and sniper range 🤷♂️. I made a build with the harpy torso once that looked like that you needed one pusuer shoulder left empty and an oroshi shoulder on hatpy legs if I remember correctly.
Thanks
I use:
2x zeus
Railgun
Phantom torso,ares chasis & 2x siren shoulders
Though you have to track the target with zeus or damage output isn’t maximum.
Try a zues ,railgun, zues or a zues ,gozer ,zues
Snipers are: Trebuchet, Railgun and Zeus. Long range (not quite the same) is Noricum, Vortex, Magneto and basically anything giving you 700-800m range. Mid range is ~500-600m. Everything else is mid-short (200-400m) or short range (50-120m).
Magneto aren't really long range. They are too slow.
I know what the snipers are. I’m just confused why this guy listed “sniper” as a suggestion. OP asked for a long range build and this guy suggests “sniper and pulsar”. Sniper = long range. If someone asks for a long range build you can’t just tell them to use a sniper. They’re asking what sniper to use.
Well, I was responding literally to your (rhetorical?) question? The Magneto has one of the longest ranges among all the weapons now and despite it being slow, that doesn't change the fact it fits into "long range"? I'm having trouble understanding the confusion?
How does speed equate to range? I mean these aren't the same thing, factually? Yes, the Magneto isn't going to work like a Zeus (near instant) or even a Trebuchet so you can't use it as a sniper weapon but it's still got a range that's longer than most of the other weapons. At 800m it's longer than the Vortex and Noricum!
They’re asking for something that works well at long range. Ya know, a sniper.
I don’t see how I can clarify any further, so I’ll just leave you to it.
Have you used magnitos? The projectiles travel VERY slowly. They aren't just not like a trebuchet or Zeus, they aren't remotely AT ALL like them. You aren't hitting anything that's far away if it's moving. Magnitos are a midrange weapon at best.
@delicate hearth I use mine as a sniper build with magnetos they work quiet well and with pursuer the way it is now... when someone is trying to take shots at me I go stealth I'm not plucking people off at 800 meters but I can still keep a distance and do a lot of damage
This was with a different torso but still works
I don't think we have the same definition of sniper. 🤷♂️
Magnetos are terrible at range even with siren
@amber mulch I just posted this build. Lotta folks here shared solid direct-fire builds for long range. Here's an indirect build for you to check out thay might be more your taste!

@naive cedar I don't think I was talking to you
Their point still stands. Magneto is not a sniper weapon.
@echo dragon It's as sniper as I'm gonna get ... the rest of mine are 100m to 200 m I'm not the camping type all I know it works for me that's all that matters
Lets please avoid trying to bypass the profanity filter
Guys, yall are avoiding the OG question. They asked for a solid LONG RANGE build ... they don't want a debate. Give your build or get out
Glad it works for you.. I'd have no chance of sniping with it with a ping that's 230-250ms most of the time 🙂 I've been playing it as a short/medium range weapon and ignoring it's really long range. It can be quite lethal (I have a 4x Mag.. I dunno if it's possible to do a 5x but I assume not?)
We can't do a 5 mag build as of now. The Raven's ability resembles a magneto so 4x magneto on a Raven will be the closest we're going to get to a 5x mag build as of now
Thanks for confirming. I've continued to play the 4x Mag and for best results you need to hunt with at least one team mate and preferably two or more. You have much more of a chance in close/mid range combat as the initial hit doesn't seem to do much damage and you get one or perhaps even two rounds before your opponent suddenly realises the danger and tries to finish you off.
here's a build I made trying to work with dragoons. actually performs nicely if you can hit your shots. just switch targets a lot and focus on popping those shields to help your team. I figured I should contribute something besides pointless arguments to this conversation
I dunno if they do or don't want a debate (it's a channel, not a customer support centre) but in any case any build is going to be build around a very limited subset of weapons that have... "long range" and currently that's the Trebuchet, Railgun, Zeus and Magneto - if we say LR is >= 800m? I hope they have a low ping because any long range builds work a lot less well with a high one..
Damn this is still going 😂😂
The Harpy build is perfect for this. The usual swap is to upgrade the Trebuchet to a Zeus and then figure out what you want the light weapons to be. But keep in mind that no matter what you do, the enemy can always reach out and touch you. Either because you have counter snipers or you have the anti-sniper mechs like the Phantom designed to sneak up or rush you. Good luck countering that.. (you can't do it just by having a long distance weapon)
Harpy is pretty good at destroying flankers. If they get hit by the ability without their shield, that’s 40% hp gone from at least one of their parts. I hate fighting harpies with my lightweight mechs.
I use 3 or even 4 Harpy torsos for this reason in the hangar..
When I go back to long range then I use weapon like @daring herald but with siren chassis and purifier torso with a sharpshooter pilot talent
fenrir shocktrains, fenrir treb and fenrir trident
Raven torso, orochi shoulders, 2 Zeus’, Varangian chasis, echo pilot, flashbang cycle gear and ghost turret supply gear. Good for medium and long range. 👍🏼
Pairing the raven torso with the Zeus is an interesting idea, to give it more up-close power in a pinch. Presumably Ares would do this well, too!
I could see that Raven combo being especially nice if you have the Maximizer pilot skill, since if you strip the enemy's shield off with the Zeuses first, that Raven ability will give you a lot of shield back.
On a side note and in the realm of pop trivia: What is the longest range weapon remaining in the game?
Answer: Gemini - with a range of 1200m! Which is pretty insane as that's almost enough to go from one of a map to the other..
The nerfing of the Nori (down from 800m) and the Vortex (similar, now at 550m?) means the long range artillery duels are a thing of the past and they're both used as more mid range weaponry nowadays..
3 trebuchet are what I run it’s slow but hits hard… I’m also running 3 dragoons on one build and 2 zues on another build but the 3 trebuchet are apart of my every day arsenal has any one else tried it ?
I use mixes to tear down both shield and armor instead of stacking a single damage type but that's also because I'm a solo not a team.
