Crew from 6 to 3 members, reducing it could be a solution?

This is a topic i would bring to the devs and community attention.

In order to make the game more fair and the matchmaking more balanced, wouldn't be a good idea to reduce crew to 3 members?

I mean, more crew also mean less waiting time for matchmaking, easier matchmaking with solo players and the chance to compete with other teams too.

Full stack of six members could be moved to other content in the future, but for the main game mode, 3 members would sort many issue.

At this very moment a carnage is going on, teams of 5/6 players are clubbing poor seals around the leagues and servers.

I feel that games would be too small. It would primarily be a series of one v ones, and stacking with friends would become much harder.

Well, i would rather see matchmacking with 1 team of 3 and 3 randoms then 6 coordinate players all with a role and build decided ahead. Too much for the base game mode.

If the team ever decides to change the number of players per team, we would also need to reconsider other aspects of the game. For example, the maps we currently have are designed for 6v6 gameplay. Therefore, for any potential game modes (such as 1v1, 6v6, etc), we would need to create maps specifically tailored to those modes. But I'll make sure to pass your feedback on to the team 🙂

Sorry, maybe i expressed myself in a wrong way, by saying teams i mean Crew of friends playing in the same team

So it will be anyway a 6v6 map, but with a limit of members in the crew to 3

Ah, I see. Yeah, I don't think it's something we would consider, as the crew size should match the team size. But I understand where your concern is coming from, so I'll pass your feedback on to the devs.

@dawn snow i get the concern of feeling one team can feel more stacked than another, and ive certainly seen this be a biproduct of premade groups. that said i think a part of the alure of playing online games is playing with friends (but also making new friends along the way!) it would feel worst if you were using the 3 man premade and constantly losing because you felt your other 3 players were losing you the game and it being out of your control. i encourge that if youre currently playing alone or in a group of 3 to try and play with others! there are usually groups in the official WRF discord that enjoy playing with new people!

Well, i personally play solo and i like to play vs teams cos it helps me to improve my playstyle.
However i saw the abuse of the full stack crews in other games and 100% of times it has not ended well.
Also the matchmaking balance is always affected bad from large crews, so is the waiting time.
On top of this , it seems many players get demoralized when facing large crews.

After all is a new game, it could be a chance to do something different from what we see already around and the effects.

Considering all of above i felt the need to share my thoughts.

I will join crews in future this is a fact but is far from my point.

I could justify a 3v3 mode, but making the whole game 3v3 is a bad idea

honestly credits is somehow worst in the stacked groups, mvp is more competative, so everyone usually has less impact points, and games are fast, im usually getting like sub 300creds in those matches and 700~900+ solo >.<

prolly my playstyle is part of this tho, im not really keen on pushing into enemy spawn, and would rather wait for them to crawl out

iono if id say no skill, aggressive gameplay is prolly some of the higher skillcap gameplay in regards to reactionary and and snap decision making, prolly dosnt require as much from a tactical skill set tho

Oh, for sure, but popping fenrir and tapping someone with incinerator and letting them die from DoT isn't really skillful gameplay

i dont really use Noricum! ive maybe played it 1-2 games since the release week, and even then it was a gozer/noricum hybrid
