I'm unable to chat in the app using a Mac.

hi, is your chat option greyed out? Did you turn chat off by chance? What does it look like in game

What happens is that I hit the chat bubble. The area at the bottom of the screen quickly pops up but then closes before I can type anything in it.

I've contacted Apple to report the issue but haven't heard back.

I tried turning chat off then back on but it didn't solve it.

It isn't an issue on Windows, iOS, or Android. It is only an issue on OS.

It is almost as if it thinks the chat popup window is a browser popup and quickly closes it.

I use IOS and it works fine for me

It works on my iPhone but not my Mac Mini.

I solved the problem.

I had downloaded the WGT app from Apple.

#

I deleted that app.

#

You can't download the WGT from Safari, but you can from Chrome.

#

So, I loaded Chrome on my new Mac Mini and downloaded the app from the WGT website, installed it, and everything works perfectly.
