I think it would be very cool to get Kuzco and when he is walking around in our valley he can drink different bottles and transform to different animals. Like rapunzel is drawing when she is standing around.

And when we want to interact with him then he will transform to his look which we gave him (normal human or the typical lama) . Like rapunzels easel "puffs" away, when we want to interact with her. ☺️

As much as I love Jasmine I honestly want Aladdin. Seems like Gameloft isn’t prioritizing releasing characters with their significant others and since the Princesses with their own movie are showing up, I say it’s about time the Prince with his own movie named after him shows up. Everyone talks about Flynn being a thief that ends up with a Princess but ALADDIN did it first.

Would love to see Snow White, and maybe the Dwarves as well? Obviously not all 7 just running around, but maybe you can find 1 each different day of the week? Having them all hang out in the house so you can give them gifts at least for friendship? Don't make me choose just 1 or 2, please.

Seconding the dwarves. I think a good way to go about it would be to have them as a group that counts as a single character. Like their all animated and huddled with eachother and as far as the game is aware it's just one biggish character model. That way you could animate them interacting with eachother as their idle animation, have them all get angry or sad at the same time, etc.

As for talking it'd be pretty simple, just have the name in the dialogue box change to reflect which Dwarf is talking.

To reiterate they'd basically just be one big group character that dont act independently from eachother and act as one villager rather than multiple. Sort of like Maushold from Pokemon, where it's multiple pokemon which act as one, and the game counts them as one.

Playing through the Kingdom Hearts series for the first time recently and would adore if Sora would be added, he'd give a very interesting energy to the valley.

Also for anyone curious, yes Disney has owned the rights to the Sora character from the very beginning of his creation so he is a bonafide Disney character no matter how you slice it. 👍

Mufasa.

I don’t care that he died since other characters that died are here. The game begins with our main character falling asleep around toys. This game is a dream based off our character’s memories playing with toys. It’s not meant to be a canonical continuation of the films. I can’t speak for anyone else but when I was a kid I had a Mufasa toy with my other lion king toys. So I don’t care who died, when I was a kid I made up my own stories with my toys.

Wasn’t sure where to put this but this seemed like the most appropriate place. But for the characters that we don’t like but are mandatory to get in game to progress with an option to hide them unless we want to interact with them would be great same for their houses. I know I have characters I put off getting for as long as possible because I don’t like them but I can’t progress further with other characters unless I lvl them up so now I have to deal with them in game, their little bus thing is in a corner of shame and I actively avoid them.

I am still really hoping for :

  • Judy and Nick 🦊🐰
    I think it'd be nice to have more anthropomorphic characters that are not from Mickey's universe (it can include Winnie or Robin Hood too, for example).

  • Tarzan and Jane 🦍 (and maybe Kala? Please, please, please, Disney was already so frustrating not giving us accessible goodies for the 25th anniversary, I really would love to see them in game ❤️)

  • Hercules & Meg (but I have good hopes 👀)

  • Cassandra from Tangled the series (I know it probably would never happen but it would be the best surprise ever if it did!)

  • Angel from Lady and the Tramp 2 🐶 (That would make Dreamlight valley the best game ever in my eyes 😍 I'm so desperate to get something from her...).

Some classic characters. Although Merida isn't classic Disney, I do love her. Also Black Cauldron is forgotten but so loved. Princess Eilonwy is a forgotten but awesome princess. Plus it would be cool to have one a cool creepy villain! Horned King would go great with the villian vibe & make some cool photos. Fflewddur Fflam could play his harp with other musical residents. Like Kristoff & Stitch.

I would love to see Winnie the Pooh in Friend on the 100 acre Woods. That would be a great DLC. The characters could work to get Pooh unstuck from rabbit’s hole/enterance. I also would love to see the Jungle Book characters.

Percival and Madame Medusa would be awesome I think. Especially with percival being a skilled trapper and hunter and all of our animal and beast friends in the kingdom, it’d make for interesting conversations and character dynamics. Gaston and him could compete as to who’s the better hunter too.

I have some ideas:

Aladdin, Jasmine, and Genie (since you already have their mutual antagonist in there), and possibly Abu and Iago as companions (hey, you got Figaro in there).

Milo and Kida (Eternity Isle has the statues of Atlantis' past kings, and the isle occasionally has one of the movie's bits of music playing).

Jim Hawkins and John Silver from "Treasure Planet" (he could easily be helping Remy with cooking at Chez Remy and with his love of riches, he would be handy in mining), and Morph as a companion, possibly imitating the look and some of the behaviors of the other villagers.

Panchito Pistoles and Jose Carioca (from "Saludos Amigos" and "The Three Caballeros"), so we've got all three Caballeros together in the valley.

And a few' miscellaneous:

Lilo and Reuben (Lilo and Stitch).
Baymax (Big Hero 6)

Remake and live action characters, Marvel, Star Wars, Simsons, Looney Toons, Disney and live action shows, NO. 🙅🏻‍♀️ I love most of them but no.

I'm open to possible exceptions for certain characters from Tron, Mary Poppins, Zootopia and the like, but only if they work and only IF DDV can make it work.

I know I'm gonna have some disagreements with others, but this is my opinion. If you think those who wish what I pointed out to not be added, that's your opinion. But those franchises? I cannot see those working out.

Just please do NOT add Frollo. Im someone who really loves Disney villains. But Frollo is just pure evil. As I got older & really learned what Frollo wanted to do, its just extremely gross & disgusting. I love Hunchback its a beautiful film with incredible music. With Maleficent and Hades coming in the expansion pass, that means we'll have 4 villains behind a paywall and only 3 in the base game. Not to mention the last one was Scar added over 2 years ago. I think Cruella would be a fantastic single character update addition to the base game, as she doesn't have magical powers to be a DLC main villan like Jafar, Maleficent and Hades. Instead her wacky and sassy personality would fit the base game perfectly

I know its not the best photoshop job. I know others have made a suggestion before. Also I know someone else made a similar chart too. But for certain characters there are many different opinions. Even though Im 34 & grew up with the Disney channel shows like Darkwing Duck etc I DON'T want them in game at all! I don't want TV show characters & I know I'm not alone many others don't either. However, others do want them.

Many want Pirates, Cars, Avengers etc. I myself would love to see Star Wars or Avengers in game but others don't. We just all have different opinions.

Character DLC packs for certain characters NOT ALL is the best solution I can think of. This way no one is forced to get characters they don't want.

Character DLC don't include any biom or relms. They just are able to level up to 10 & do quest like normal, with their own rewards & maybe the package can include some items that appear in Scrooges.

DLC for certain characters like TV show characters, Pirates, Star Wars etc just seems like the best solution. This way certain characters are optional. So if you don't want Star Wars you don't have to buy it, if you don't want TV shows you don't have to buy them etc.

I hope Gameloft isn't hesitating to put a character like Cruella in because of her obsession with furs (and killing puppies). She's a villain, if she didn't do wicked and cruel things she wouldn't be a villain.
Also, her smoking. Again, she's a villain. You don't need to have her say "Kids, smoking makes you super-cool." Hades once lit himself a cigar!

Varian and Cassandra from Tangled the series!! I would love to have Lance too but these two especially!!

Varians different seasons + villain fit could be different unlockable outfits
Same for Cassandras different travel outfits and moonstone outfit! maybe even her lady-in-waiting outfit :)

I would absolutely be okay for them & other movies sequel characters to be in a DLC that focusses on those sequel spinoff shows! That way people who do not like them can simply just not buy them!

I think they would be interesting to tackle, especially how The Forgetting would affect them -- Cassandra maybe forgetting Gothel being her mother and when she remembers she has a quest confronting Gothel. Varian maybe forgetting making up with Rapunzel and still being upset at her when we first meet him, and we need to remind him that everything is okay now. (Could be a way to unlock his season 3 outfit maybe?)

I do love Timon and Pumbaa (way more than Simba and Nala tbh, esp in-game) but having five characters from one movie stings a little when we don't have the og princesses. I saw the Rafiki mention in the survey and there are so many movies with only one or no representative at all in-game. Please no more Lion King characters until a lot more of the popular movies have character representation in the game.

I would really like to see

1.) Cinderella and Ralph: they were shown in the trailer and are the only two absent trailer characters from the game. I would like Cinderellas model to be reworked a little to look more like the character, especially colour wise.

2.) Milo and Kida: we have a bunch of content in the game that connects to Atlantis and we barely see representation and it’s amazing the game has given us so much already, just wish we had the main characters with it.

3.) Snow White and Pocahontas: I want to see them so it can cap off the original Disney Princess line-up. Raya is still missing from the main line up and would be nice to see her too but I feel these two are just a bit more iconic.

I love secret quests and would love an unexpected surprise character. Perhaps one day we are inside the mines and one of the paths that currently ends in a cave-in is suddenly clear. We follow the path into an area full of diamonds with a cart path. We follow the path to an exit. We are in an unknown forest. Look, there’s a cute little cottage. Hi-ho!! We hear and the door opens to seven little men and a beautiful princess. We accessed the Snow White realm!!
Of course the quest would include more steps than that. We would of course have to check in with Merlin, maybe bring a certain character with us to check out the mine, Goofy would need to inspect the new area to make sure that the walls are sturdy. But the entire thing would be us figuring it out. It would not be on our roadmap.

I think a good compromise for shows like Tangled The Series/Rapunzels Tangled Adventures and other sequels / spinoffs that are TV shows could be a DLC specifically focused on Series-Sequels 🙏

This way people who don't like it can ignore it, and people who do like it can buy it.

Few examples that could be in a DLC like that;

  • Tangled the Series
  • Descendants
  • the spinoff series' for 101 Dalmatians
  • The Lion Guard

And more (I in honestly dont know too many of the sequel shows in detail unfortunately)

People have also asked for standalone TVA series show characters, so I believe a DLC for them would be a good solution!!

I'd even be okay with it not having a big world in exchange for more characters instead 🙏

Edit: or instead of a big DLC a few "smaller" DLCs focused on specific spinoffs/sequels!

Similar to how people who have both Rift in Time & Storybook Vale get an extra storyline between Rapunzel & Eugene/Flynn, these DLCs could add side stories and expand world building cross-DLCs

For Cassandra I think it would also be fun to have a side quest involving Gothel, considering the lore :)

I think there are so many more iconic and needed Disney characters than those that appeared in limited run sequel shows or live action Disney channel, so I personally would prefer if Gameloft focuses their priorities onto other more well known and requested IPs, or other characters from universes already in game!

I know we're going to get Cinderella at some point but I hope to see her sisters or the evil step mother at some point as well! More conflict characters would be great! (I'm a villains girlie lbr lol)

I think Antonio especially would make sense as Mirabel mentions him a lot, mini casitas interior is their shared room & with Rift in Time ||she even specifically has you take photos of Capybaras for him!|| as well as basegame Critter related Quests and dialogue about him.

LOVE STORYBOOK VALE! But why did we get Eugene and not Flynn?! He's not cool, nor swashbuckling, nor a rogue. And he's not funny, which is a huge part of his character! Gaston had so much great and funny material written for him; why is Flynn so basic? He's so self-aware in the movie and the ridiculousness of the storylines and situations, often coming close to breaking the 4th wall, but in the game he has none of that. And his face just does not look right. Has zero charm! Please, fix him. 🙏

Can we have some transparency over exactly what IP’s are or aren’t on the table. Like if there are certain things Disney just won’t give you permission to use. Also is the rate of new characters ever going to go up to similar levels of your other Disney games, or is the drop always going to be this slow? In the Showcase you pointed out that Hades and Maleficent have giant egos. I think two other villains with giant egos that could make for an interesting story in an expansion pass are the Queen of Hearts and King Candy.
