When a character says they are inside of their house, and I go inside to find them, they are never there. Then when I try to leave the house my game freezes up and I can’t move, I tried using every button to do anything and I can’t do anything. The only thing I can do is restart my entire console.

issue: i tried leaving donald’s house and then it just like froze but didn’t freeze? i couldn’t press any buttons, save, or move my character, only my camera. i was streaming as well so it could’ve just been lag from my xbox doing too many things at once, not sure.

Issue: when decorating, game will crash when you go to save and exit furniture/build mode on the town, especially if building for long sessions.

Issue: 1. Got stuck exiting Mirabels house.
2. Game crashes while in furniture mode. It gets stuck on the loading screen, and doesn’t save progress. It’s happened on 4 different occasions today, I had to force quit the game each time.

Issue: crashed on map, could move around but couldn't do anything. Had to do full restart, but did the same thing again after loading back up. Seems even more unstable after update than it was before. Having crashes and needing to force stop and restart at least every 15-20 minutes. Loading times when restarting game are also very slow and have crashed several times.
Gardening was incredibly laggy. Would plant and then stay still up to 5 seconds before moving to plant the next seed.

Issue: Crashed on loading into Continued save. Game Initialization Error 7.

Is this going to be fixed in time to claim the Palace exterior for my home? If we're going to be unable to claim because of game initialization errors, can there be some sort of extension of the deal or retroactively grant it to those of us who are unable to access our games? 😭

Issue: game not loading through first loading bar after hitting “continue” on main menu. It has only loaded once since the update and it had to sit loading for 4 hours to do so

issue: everytime i log in it says “no internet” even though i in fact have internet and it is stable. it also sometimes says no internet while in game viewing my star pass (still while my xbox is connecting to the internet just fine). also it has been crashing an awful lot while bringing up the map at times, ive had to close and re open the game many times due to it freezing on the map.

edit: also loading screens have been terribly long lately (past two days)

The game just crashed while idle in the main menu, cutscene was about to autoplay (controller battery was empty, thus not connected and we couldn't press "any button". And then it went to the xbox dashboard and the game had crashed.

Ever since the newest update my Xbox has been having a REALLY hard time playing the game like it never has before! Every animation is slow, all movement is lagged, sometimes it's SO slow it will refuse to load shopping NPCs to thier stalls, and it runs so slowly the game will crash as it's stuck in a screen

Xbox one...continual freezes when in "decorating" mode. I will make all my arrangements and then go to close out and I get stuck on the loading screen. I have to close the game and reload to fix it.

It also happened to me when completing a quest if I have to give someone something. I talk to them and select "give items" and it will give them to that character but the prompt will not close from the screen. I have to close the game and reload to fix this as well.

Xbox Series X

A lot of crazy stuff has been happening in my game. Eric flickers? Like he is going in and out and randomly will be laying on the ground. He also slides instead of walking. Some other things like basil and other seasoning you pick up are flickering like Eric.

The lagg is ridiculous.... it sometimes will lagg then my character will get stuck for a couple of seconds before I can move again.

And the other major problem I am having is the map. I can't use my map. If I try it freezes then crashes. So I have to remember my plants to water them and I have to look for the character I need the hard way, guessing where they are if they aren't in their house. 😅

XBox One: Gamepass
Same thing as this, except it happens with various characters any time I try to give them the required quest items. It seems to be random with no clear indicator or cause, and when it happens I have to completely close and restart the game, losing a ton of progress bc my auto-saves are also sporadic if they work or not. Usually when I hit this issue, I just stop playing for a day or two bc I don't want to backtrack and redo everything I've been doing):

Issue: I don't what happened but my installed game disappeared. I was trying to update through the xbox app but kept getting an error in installation. I restarted my laptop but the game disappeared from my list and xbox shows that the game is not installed. Before update installation there was also a shortcut named Dreamlight Valley Demo (aside from the Disney Dreamlight Valley shortcut) in my folder but wasn't able to take a screenshot.

I haven't been able to connect to internet in game for 2 months. I tried everything. Different computer, reinstall, trying on different hours, updates. Nothing is working and I can't participate in events :c

Xbox one stuck on the loading screen after the last update. Will not progress. Usually it's quick. Tried going to the home screen, quitting and reloading but it gets stuck in the same spot.

Game freezes when getting new memories. Game freezes when exiting furniture mode. I spent time decorating yesterday, saved and closed the game. Everything is gone today.

Issue: Accessing Moana's realm to do her introductory quests makes the game unplayable. Unable to toggle tools, access menu to Save, or move between quest tracking. Have to hard quit game and lose all progress.

XBox S Gamepass. Keep getting stuck during auto save. 3 times today I had to exit or even reboot. At one point I lost about an hour of progress. Often freezes going through doors as well.

Issue: Unable to connect to servers for two days. Can't pick up blue chests due to offline.

EDIT: In case someone else runs into this issue. What finally helped for me was unplugging the xbox for 2 minutes. Just turning off xbox doesn't help, switching internet provider doesn't help. It keeps something in memory that prevents dlv from connecting to servers until the console has been completely depowered. Whatever it is that causes the issue survives thtough normal xbox shut downs.
