If your cloud save was current you won't need to restore the backup save. Just install the game and make sure you are logged in to your correct platform account for steam, Xbox or Epic, and then open the game. It should auto pull your cloud save. Then just make sure it shows you logged in to your Gameloft account by clicking on cloud on the title screen, and it should show your email logged in. If it doesn't you need to log in.
If for some reason your cloud save doesn't pull or isn't up to date, then at that point is when you would close the game, copy your backup file from the external and paste it into the appropriate location in the Gameloft folder and choose replace all files.
