Issue: I was able to find the 1st and 2nd pieces of paper in Merlin and Mickey's houses, but the 3rd one in Goofy's house is nowhere to be found.

There is still no way to get past this issue I am having even after the update. the chest dig location on the beach never appears so I cannot finish the quest line. It worked for me too! Thank you! I opened the game, put it in my inventory, then 'quit' the game, reopened, and can now move forward with the quest!

Issue: Vial of Freezing Water is still in my inventory long after the quest completed (I think this was the one to improve the pickaxe to break ice). I think it let me pick up a second one after the quest, either that or it didn't disappear. Since it is a quest item I can't drop/sell it, so it is just using up space in my inventory/storage.

Same platform, same issue. I've tried going back to the spot where the snowmen are and taking a photo of them, and removing them/putting in a new spot, but there doesn't seem to be a way currently to resume the quest.

Not a bug. It’s just a rare gem. Took me two days playing on and off to get them. Keep at it and you’ll get them eventually 🙂

Playing on PC! Scar’s Quest #3 “Breaking Bones” (Spoiler possible)
I got a little too ahead of myself and crafted the shovel upgrade before the quest instructed me to do so. Now it is stuck on saying “Improve the shovel by using the new Lion’s Claw shovel head.”

I applied the upgrade to my shovel, but it isn’t registering. Due to the limited/one time resource (lion’s claw) I can’t get the materials for the quest to craft it again. Please help!

I had Anna on hangout mode so I'm not sure if that's what bugged the quest out. The snowman are placed in the Forest of Valar but there is no party. It also locked Elsa back at the entrance of her cave. Does anyone else have this issue?

I still can't catch a second glittering herring, it's been 2 months, none of the patches or updates have fixed this issue. I've spent uncountable hours fishing in the rain at every fishing spot in the glade.

There are 2 upgrades in the Scar quest, have to make sure you equip them from inventory. Can only do the small bone clumps with the first upgrade.

Has Gameloft acknowledged this issue? They have a Known Quest Issues page and a Trello board, and neither of them list What Home Feels Like despite the many reports of issues. The help desk is sending out a canned "you need to read between the lines" response with a "workaround" that is just repeating the steps that are not working for catching another fish.

They've acknowledged it in the past but seem to think they've fixed it, which clearly they haven't. And yeah the help desk response was decidedly unhelpful, like I haven't tried literally everything already.

Issue: I was placing the flower near the cave entrance but must have been too close because the item disappeared. It’s not in my inventory anymore, Ursula won’t give me a new one and I can’t craft one anymore. I can’t find any way to replace the glitched/disappeared quest item so I can’t finish her quest line.

Edit: Solved- I put it by the wrong cave and it ended up in Forest of Valor.

Thanks but the other shiny gems... I got them easily. It's only this one after a lot of hours (I mean even more then 10 now in total in a couple of day's) that says nope... I don't want to come out with mining 😂 but I hope I find one soonish. It's just odd for me that the other shiny gems are easy to find and this one not at all 🙂

Quest: Donald's "The Dreamlight Fountain"
Bug: At the stage of taking the celebration photo my game crashed, and now upon every restart I get put in positioning to take the photo and get locked in place with no camera options. My save is completely grid locked and I can't find a way around the issue. No way to back out of the photo pose or move, no access to tools, but access to the start menu and the item/clothing/furniture menu is still available.

Things I've tried: Multiple restarts, removal of the fountain, pressing the take photo button immediately after hearing the camera sound while still on the loading screen, moving the fountain and banner, and following every one of these up with a restart.

I cannot catch an additional glittering herring to make it count towards the quest. I wrote in to customer care and they told me to put it in Wall E’s world but that did not solve my problem. I have been stuck for weeks and weeks.

The watering orb quest won't finish for me all my freinds an I all planted the orb at the same time in the morning day of the patch. We all used the miracle water 2 tines in 2 days. Earlier today there's all finished growing am mined did not. It's now been another 8 hours since theirs finished an mine still won't complete. We've all had rain the past 2 nights as well very often. We've all been online an completed the majority of the new star path as well. An have been synced to the cloud as the well. I'm disabled so I'm on the game all day. I'd know if I lost connection to the server so I know that's not the issue here. I believe this Is a bug 🐛 .

I'm on ps4 an as you can see I'm fully synced an on page four of star path as well an the plants in front of piller mot finishing . . .

@proven flint @jaunty bramble go in the furniture menu and move the snow family to different biome. Exit the menu. Then walk to the snow family and move it to in front of Elsa's cave again.

Swap out the regular ginger for the dried ginger you got with the recipe. Hope this helps!!

I had this exact problem yesterday. I would ask WALLE to go talk to her and nothing. I left it and went to do other things. For a REMY quest called THE UNKNOWN FLAVOUR, I needed to find someone to crush purified night shards, obviously WALLE.

So I go check where he is and he IS HEADING TOWARDS THE BEACH...ARIEL IS EXACTLY IN THE PLACE FOR THE EXCHANGE QUEST. So I quickly swap my active tracked quest to A FRIENDLY EXCHANGE, in the exact spot pictured by @tired merlin , they did the quest and exchanged items.

So I think if you missed the initial trigger or it didn't work, it will at some point. Also when I started this quest, Ariel was seaborn, when it triggered today, she was walking. As others did this when she was swimming, it works whether she walks or swims.

Had the same issue today, I continued with another quest line and while doing that for some reason another crystal popped up in my inventory and I was able to finish the quest line. I don't know what happened but maybe try and do some other quests and maybe it works like that too for you. I had mine in a chest while dealing with other quests

Sounds like something really broke if it still not up after few days. Did you at least noticed a change in growth? Like there should be 2 different variants before the plant is fully grown. But it will stay look like a small sapling

Since it's a new quest I believe they broke something. Shouldnt take this long. Maybe its also the platform, could be a only switch issue who knows. Luckily I had no issues on my Xbox. Maybe a someone from the devs will clear this up or you will see it get added to the known bug list

If you are doing controlled flower growth and cover your lands with pavement and your edges with rocks so the flowers will always spawn in a dedicated flower bed, then the spots where the lions claws should appear will be occupied and the dig spots won't spawn, preventing you from getting claws.

I have an issue with the "Fixing the Boat" quest for Moana. After gathering all the materials for the boat, I gave them to moana in one of the rooms of my house. After, I said goodbye whilst she was still in the house. (Photo 1) Then I fixed the boat and fully upgraded straight away in an open space. (Photo 2) and since, i cannot find the strange object anywhere! I went to go find moana and she was in chez remy but no strange object anywhere! I've looked everywhere where I think she could have gone in the time I fixed and fully upgraded the boat. I need help 😫

Yours is a different issue. You have all the 4 Dark Crystal & now need to place them. There is no workaround known currently for your bug. Apparently, what you need to do is to complete the Nature and Nurture quest first. This is not stated as a requirement, but that’s what you need to do. Unfortunately, that means that you will need to wait a couple of days for the last step to be completed – “Tend the Orb of Nurturing until it’s fully restored“. After a couple of days, the Friendship Quest should unlock.

Since the update (October 19) I have a lot of bugs, some I already had before and others are new, so for me the update was not an improvement but a nuisance.

Bugs I currently have:

1 - I still can't pick up the sunstone to complete Mother Ghotel's quest, even though I said that those of us who had it broken now would count it as completed.

2 - I don't see the rain, I recognize that it is raining because suddenly I look at the map and the symbol for watering the plants appears, but I look at them and they appear with a drop as watered.

3 - I have bugged Wall-E's house

4 - I can't do Scar's new quests despite having the requirements to do them

Issue: Game is stuck?

My game is stuck at the point in the quest where you have to take the picture at the Honored Place (with the leader shards in the stone) with Merlin, Moana, and Maui. When I open the game it come up automatically to take the picture, but I can’t capture. It will then only let me access my inventory (no issues with that) and access the map. I can’t move or look around, and the map window tabs work, but won’t let me scroll through collections or dreamlight, etc. I am able to quick travel, but once I travel to the location I’m stuck again. Not able to move or look around. I’ve been stuck in game like this for about 3 days now, almost 4.

Things I have tried in order to fix the issue:
restarted my switch
moved the Honored Place stone
cleared my profile’s cache on the switch console
Made sure my switch software was up to date
I have also messaged GameLoft with my character ID and the issue, still awaiting a response from them.

All other games I have downloaded on my switch are running normally. Any suggestions?!

Dear Gameloft Support, I'm still stuck with the Elsa "Feels like home quest". I used the glittering herring on the wrong recipe and I'm unable to cook Elsa the fish pie. I've read that this last update would have solved this problem, but the game still keeps asking me to cook the fish pie and denying me the possibility to do that. Do you know how can I unlock this quest?

I literally cannot see any details in the Quest Log as to what I need to do in order to progress onto Scar's next quest. It tells me nothing even when I click it, just as I'm doing in the photo. Furthermore, Scrooge's Quest to fix up the Sunlit Plateau (put 10 furniture in it) did not show up here either- I only knew he had a new quest to do because a Quest Marker appeared above his head in-game. So, basically, no new quests are showing up here if it isn't related to Scar, and Scar's quest(s) are not telling me how I need to progress- such as if I need to raise other character friendships or what-have-you- in order to access the next quest. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Issue: I've collected all the ingredients, and the Quest has registered that I have everything I need to make Stone Soup. However, any time I approach a stove or cooktop, the Start Cooking button is greyed out and I can't actually make the soup, so I can't continue the quest. I've also tried digging in areas all over the Frozen Realm to find more Craggy Rocks, but it's not an issue of the ingredients registering like the old issue.

Edit: I did get the Basil and Oregano after the Craggy Rocks, if that helps.

Issue: When gathering Lion's Claws, I was able to collect four of them, but the fifth and last (near to the mines) I dug up (I saw the item fly out and sparkle, and I did run over it to try and collect it) but it seems to have despawned before I could? I've looked all around the cliffs and there are no digspots left, nor are there the final lion's claws. Tried restarting the game but the hard reset didn't work. Bummer as I was looking forward to clearing all the bones.

I returned to my cloud save and cleaned up before activating the claw quest. That's the big upside with the cloud saves not working 95% of the time, there's always a really old cloud save. Not sure if that helps you, but it was how I fixed it.

I was taking my celebration photo when the game crashed, and now I have to celebrate but can’t start the celebration. I tried moving the banner and talking to Donald.

This is a bug common to all the quest lines that end in a photo celebration. It's a tough issue for the devs to crack, potentially requiring them to rework all the affected quests. I personally still have Moana stuck right at the end of "The Ceremony", and at this point many players have reached a progress level where they're stuck with at least one similar bug. The reason this hasn't been fixed by the most recent patch is simply the broad scale of the underlying problem. Eventually the devs will figure out some general fix or workaround that will allow us all to finish these quests, but not just yet.

Issue: Restoring the sunstone quest for Mother Gothel. Specifically planting the dusk fragment in the Forgotten lands and watering it. The gem is still not growing, the plant is actually invisible! Just water droplets where I planted it and no plant. Now the quest progressed to give the fragment to Gothel but obviously I don't have it. 😅

Put it in storage, then put it in your inventory, then restart the game, and when you get back in the quest should have progressed automatically. This is one of the fixes they added in the latest patch.

Something you could try, bare in mind it should be noted the devs said try at your own risk but seeing as yours is stuck anyway; there's a potion in the game now using Vitalys Crystals from the Mines in sunlit plateau. If you craft the Extra version, it grows crops instantly...this also means quest objects. Now when I tried, with this on my watering can (lasts for 25 uses), it grew my Dusk Fragment (growing patch goes gold), orb of nurturing and a further Scar quest flower. I was lucky that it worked and didn't cause problems. I am on PC/Steam.

You could also try my comment above next time it needs watering. I only suggest this if it has been multiple days beyond 2-3 as the devs said use this method at your own risk in case it doesn't grow and gets stuck, which if its been a long long time its already stuck. The quest automatically progresses to "Give fragment" the moment its planted and still takes between 24-48 hours.

If it helps, the regular versions are far more common than the shiny ones. You should keep the shiny ones for now - eventually some high-level quest will demand them 😮

I am quite worried that the official issue/bug list for the game still does not list any version of the extremely serious and increasingly ubiquotous bug relating to all quests that feature a celebration photo at the end. I think that news of this widespread bug is still not reaching the corret members of Gameloft's QA testing or development team. As time moves on, more and more players are going to be unlucky enough for their game to crash during or just after a celebration photo, which will then lock them out of the final step of one or more level 10 quests. We really need to push for official recognition of this bug, otherwise the game will go fully live next year with even more players flooding Gameloft's tech support with complaints that they are unable to finish certain questlines.

I've tried doing the 'cook with garlic' & cook meals with sugar and both seemed to give me this glitch. I'm not sure how it works.
For the garlic I tried to make GARLIC swordfish and lemon, which didn't count at all. Throwing only garlic in seems to count.

As for the sugar one, I tried cooking ONLY the cocoa bean, 1 counted the rest didn't. Tried making caramel apples, also didn't count.

Issue: "With Great Power" quest, second gate
I have the 3 vegetables (carrot, wheat, tomato) planted but the tomato will not grow. I have watered it countless times, harvested and replanted both the carrot and wheat numerous times, and have even tried consuming meals with tomatoes (i.e. veggie pasta) (heard this was a workaround for some) all to no avail. The tomato will not grow.

Each pillar had one place to dig a whole for seeds. The first two pillars had a "hole" gap between the statute and the hole. The third tomato statute had no gap, and is planted immediately in front of the pillar. There are no additional places to dig than these 3 that I am using. I suspect it is this third pillars hole placement that is causing the issue. It's not growing because it's not "zoned" for this or something.

This is not an issue, don't worry. The sunbirds are like all other animals in the different biomes. You can only feed them once every 24 hours. I did the exact same thing, just beofre I received the quest. All you have to do is wait a day and then you can complete the quest just fine (plus unlock more sunbirds to have as companions!) 😄

I think you might need to widen your search to include where the restaurant was originally? Similar to how quite a few items (including the new Halloween buckets) spawn where specific houses used to be, instead of where you've since moved them to.

Issue: I'm taking the landmarks' photos at the Elephant Graveyard and the Giant Willow Tree. However, they're not being counted despite I had tried so many times. I didn't had the same issue with the store, the restaurant and the castle so yeah I'm confused 😭

Time skipping even for one quest may break other parts of your friends game. Is it in her chest that comes with the house? If not, similarly to what happened with other quests, they did a hotfix to force the item to appear in a set location if it were lost for you. Whilst this is disappointing to hear it may have to wait for another patch, it will be fixed.

I think once that quest is complete it opens his friendship quest it’s the one called something with nature and nuture and restored the orb of nurturing

I had the same issue, in the end I dug every sparkle hole in the graveyard bit and I got the last one

Ursula's Quest "The Ritual"

I planted the plant at a wrong location but it vanished from map and now it's impossible for me to take it back to plant it at the correct location making me completely stuck 😦

Just wanted to post a reminder bc I saw people posting about it again:
1.) Minnie and Wall-E do not have the final quest at level 10 or the items you are supposed to get in the game yet. It will come in a later update. (My theory is that they probably are going to involve a character we don't have yet.)
2.) If you visit the Trello DDL made, it tells you about the the above quests not being a issue rn, bc they are supposed to be in game, but also what they are working on. https://trello.com/b/WY5gDde3/disney-dreamlight-valley-issue-tracker-board
Just remember that the game just came out as EA, so there are going to be bugs and the DDL team is only so big. So, things will take time. (My glitched quest is finally on the Trello board as being worked on and it's been WEEKS.) This is a good time to save coins so you can easily buy future houses for characters and new items. I have been buying up furniture so I can expand my house and make themed floors >.< lol

you can move the pillar in edit mode and then pick up the flower as normal, for some reason the flower inside the pool freezes the game. I also reported this yesterday.

Quest: The Singing Ice

After giving the Vial of Freezing Water to Elsa and using it to craft the Cold of Winter potion, I noticed a sparkling area near the water in Frosted Heights again. After interacting with it, another Vial of Freezing Water was added to my inventory, even though I didn't need it. I've since finished the quest and haven't been able to drop or sell it, and it shows up as a quest item (purple icon) even though I've long since completed the quest.

On XBox. My game is stuck on The Celebration Quest for Moana. I can access my inventory, menus and teleport to other wells and realms. But I cannot move, take the picture needed or switch my royal tools. Started with the new patch to add scar

Has anyone just gotten no response back and had to completely start over? My game is locked and I've tried everything to fix it and so far nothing has worked and no one is getting back to me. I feel like I'm missing out on everything and am just feeling left behind and frustrated. Do I just start a new account and lose everything I've built in the last month or so? Or just keep waiting and know that I'll be behind and missed out on the Halloween/Villian track and whatever else is upcoming?

Experiencing the same issue on Switch

The workaround I found on gamefaqs said to do some furniture/clothing changes and reboot a lot to clear it - I did the following:
Opened furniture menu, put honored place away, saved & rebooted.
Opened furniture menu, moved house to meadow, teleported to Sunlit Plateau, changed outfit, saved & rebooted.
Hit & held B as soon as I heard the camera noise while the game was loading up the 3rd time.

Quest decided that that was enough to clear it, so now I can actively play again.
