@warm estuary that's what mine says. Been stuck for a week. But mine I lost levels from it and then that happened.
Might be a silly question, but is your switch set to the current date and time or have you time traveled? Someone here was kind enough to share that resetting their switch clock helped them, and that allowed me to access cloud save

Why would you have the new game right below the continue button!? Especially when people are constantly rebooting the game from crashes.
Is there any ways to get my past save back?
Literally completed all but a quest or two and somehow misclicked and managed to create a new game save over all my other progress.

I'm playing both on PC through the Xbox Live app and on my Xbox S. I have set up my cloud save and it's linked. The problem I am having is that any time I go to save it will not cloud save at all. I have tried to sync but keep getting error that it can't upload to cloud. I have plenty of space on my Xbox and on my PC so not sure what is wrong. I am not enjoying that my pc account and my Xbox one are not synced up and I'm losing progress on both each time I switch. My cloud account is out of sync by 4 days or more.
Playing on switch trying to switch to Xbox, I can’t upload my save data to the cloud to move it to my Xbox. Manually trying says “failed to upload cloud save” and it says it’s out of sync by 31 minutes
Can’t save to cloud in weeks. I play on the switch and basically surprised this is an issue. We cut the cable, live 5 miles from nearest WiFi tower, and have a high end web booster installed. From all the beautiful work the graphics department and developers have done, I can not comprehend how the tech department hasn’t been able to get the equipment set up for saves. That is if equipment is the issue. Developers, if this is your issue, drop the inter office politics and get your s__t together. It’s not like Disney is a kickstarter.
I used to play on the switch but I also bought the game on steam. Tried doing the whole cloud save thing and now both my switch and steam accounts cant get save to cloud. It's really starting to bum me out and I hope the devs would patch it up or something 😦

i think my ps4 progress reset AGAIN, cuz it loaded me in character creation and if thats the case im done with this game lol over 50 hours of progresss and every character mission done at max 10 down the drainn again i suppose. how do i upload my cloud if it autosaved immediately at the character creation screen?
I need help, I have been playing since release on my pc. I stopped playing for a bit got busy. My pc went out now trying to play on my laptop. I had cloud save. I’m trying to log in and it’s giving me this message “ fails to login with email because there is another account registered to it already”
been struggling with this today, havent been able to find any sort of solution still 😦

I always manually save to the loud because otherwise it doesn't save. Currently it fails to upload. Currently out of sync by 1 day 2 hours.
I feel this. It’s kind of making me lose motivation to play because it just keeps on messing my mind that there’s something wrong with my game. :/ really getting frustrated about this
(Switch User) Wanted to share something I’m experiencing. I had been playing without cloud save and decided to sign up for cloud yesterday when I considered buying a PC copy (didn’t). I have been experiencing a lot of crashes today and got in the habit of manually saving via Settings. I manually saved after many hours of play today and not long after my game unexpectedly closed. When I went back to start again, as I had many times before, when I clicked “Continue” I was taken to the Avatar setup screen. I did not progress to avoid losing my save. Now I am unable to log out of the cloud to revert to my last local save. Even if I wanted to start over I can’t log out of the cloud.
I’m having an issue logging into cloud save. I play on both Xbox and switch and manually save to cloud quite frequently. Yesterday, I tried to save on Xbox and it wouldn’t let me. I went to check on cloud save in the title screen, it had logged me out of my cloud account. Figured I’d go back to switch, because the save file there was only 2 hours older than the Xbox save file. But nope, opened up the game on switch and it had logged me out of my cloud account there too. Now, I am not able to log in to my cloud account anywhere. Xbox, Xbox cloud play, switch, PC. I don’t get an error message, once I press log in, the loading icon appears and then just does nothing. I’ve quit the game, restarted the consoles several times, even deleted the game and downloaded it again. Nothing is working. I’m just stuck on the login screen. In-game, this also causes issues that are well known by now - not being able to open blue chests, no access to events, and obv can’t save to the cloud. I can continue to play on my local save, but there’s no guarantee I’ll be able to upload that version when I eventually get my cloud account to log in again. Anyone else have this issue? I’ve been searching and can’t find an answer. I’ve submitted a support ticket and reached out on Twitter. Any help would be much appreciated!
Yeah I have no idea.. I really don’t want to have to start over.. not really fair. I get it’s a beta but the cloud save should work..
Lost my entire savegame where my character was lvl 22 and already had completed the current starpath on playstation 4 because of the constant crashes the game is experiencing...now everytime I enter the game is directing me to the create a Character screen i already had a lot of progress....
I am experiencing the exact same problem with my Switch / Xbox One X cloud saves. Both systems are now playing offline and I cannot get online or access cloud saves with either one. I tried updating my cloud save password and it let's me do that with a code that gets sent to my email, but then it tells me I have incorrect login information when I try to connect.
The purpose of it being able to continue your progress on a different platform/device but having searched the error in the server, doesnt seem like thats ever worked. People have been having the same issue for a while it seems
So we’re just screwed and have to completely start over.. lose all star path progression too since that events over.. that’s awesome lol
Super demotivating tbh. I was on a dreamlight binge, put so many hours into it and now i cant even bring myself to open it because of the cloud save issue. Tried so many ways to try and fix it, online support form wouldnt submit, Twitter customer support still havent gotten back to me. Its such a shame
It’s been happening the most since the update was released. I haven’t played in almost a month now since cloudsave messed up and I lost progress for fear of losing progress again. Many people are in the same boat as I am. They’ve said that they’ll release the patch they’ve been working on to fix this issue with the next update, which was really discouraging to hear for myself and others who have stopped playing to avoid losing progress again because it means missing the end of the Pixar event. They haven’t said anything (that I’ve heard so far) about compensating us for the time we’ve lost missing out on the event 🙃
That’s literally where I’m at. I open my laptop then just close it bc if I do restart then they message hey we can help them I completely lost it all.
I’m playing on pc through steam. I’ve never been able to make an account to cloud save. Will I lose my progress when I’m finally able to create a cloud account?

Hello All! I tried finding my specific issue here and lots of close calls but none thats the same. My problem is simply that I cannot log out of the game on my PC. (playing via steam on windows PC) purchased the game on the switch so the wife could enjoy it in the TV (up until now she had be using my PC) It works great on the switch, no problems, her cloud save is there. Now Id like to play on my own account on my PC but it will not let me log out of her account. The error I receive is reads that there is an error and it cannot log out, it gives me the choice to "try again, cancel, or new game" If i try again or hit cancel
I am brought back to her account still logged in. I do not want to hit create new game and risk overwriting her save cloud data. What do I do?
UPDATE: attempted to uninstall the game and re-installed.., it downloads back her data even if I am not logged in. I noticed there is an mdc number which remains the same. how can i fix this?
I play on Epic Games, and Cloud Save has never worked for me, I always get an error saying that the game has been saved locally but that it wasn't able to upload it to the Cloud. If I try to upload manually I get a similar error. For me in the menu it says "Never uploaded". I have been able to complete the Star Path and redeem/receive items in my mailbox as normal, so I can connect to the game servers, it's just cloud saving that isn't working.
I'm really scared that whenever it starts working I'll lose all my progress.
Switch/PC - I played primarily on the switch until this past weekend. The first attempt at a cloud save after decorating via PC, the Switch version told me there were two cloud saves that it had, both with different XP, coins and moonstones. I chose the one with the accurate moonstones and none of the decorating I'd done got saved. I went back to PC to re-decorate, as it's easier there, but when I went back to the Switch again, there was only one option for a cloud save that had only 3,000 moonstones (I had over 19,000 saved up and it doesn't appear I'll be able to get them back?). Now I'm too afraid to jump back and forth. Another issue I'm seeing, only since I started using the cloud save, is that I was previously able to collect the blue chests which accumulated if I missed days of game-play. Now I'm only able to collect one chest and have extra chests lying around different biomes.
Moonstones are tied to the system. So once you go back to the original system despite recovering your cloud save, you'll still have the original moonstone number. Say for example you bought the founders pack with extra moonstones, it will only show on your switch since thats the console you bought it on. It won't show on the PC when you log in with your cloud save
In other news, It seems like Cloud Saves aren't working for me and a few others if you signed out in the past day. Me and my sister both tried to log into our cloud saves on PC, and it doesn't "register" anymore and only shows the "new game" option.
You guys really need to fix and tackle these cloud save log in issues as it's really hard to play crossplay on different platforms especially within a household with other users.
Im still wondering why this all isnt in the #known-issues yet officially =/
Cant believe its almost been a month since I played now 😦
I get that the game is in pre-release, but this situation is so disappointing and unfortunate. Why even offer the feature if players are going to get locked out of events or potentially lose their progress?
Last night I made the decision to abandon the idea of cloud/cross save for now and I chose to continue my game on my PS5. I know this might mean I can't cross save in the future, but I finished the event and I'm enjoying the game again. I wish everyone the best of luck with this situation. ✨

Its sad that I have to agree with the statement... I was playing DAILY happily... then when this happened a month ago... Switched to Saints Row, Pathfinder and Ill prob now load up Coral Island 😦 I WANTED to keep playing DLV tho, but this radio silence, vs just saying "Sorry... please start over" or "We have a possibility to recover you"
Especially disappointing considering I’d already logged like 30+ hours in the game before the update
Honestly. It’s so sad. I can’t remember the last time I clicked with a game like this as much as I did.
Simple communication/timelines or even if our saves can be salvaged would do the world of good.
I finally got a response back from a ticket I filed 3 weeks ago and all it says is sorry, we are looking into a fix. Waste of money and time for such a basic and essential gameplay mechanic to be broken.
Same email I got, which still doesnt tell us ANYTHING if we wait or restart. I know Ryan_GL was digging into for more info from us, so least on discord had the acknowledgment after we had nothing for over a week.. but still we are in limbo
I got the same E-Mail weeks after sending it.
We have a cloud save that then removes your ability to have a local save so we have to rely on their cloud save as our one back bone which broke here and we’re then reliant on them to fix it… I just don’t get it.
@mortal oyster (Sorry to ping) but THIS statement right here, is something we desperately need please. Moderators here are in limbo too not knowing what to say. We need least this and something in #known-issues PLEASE 😦
hey i just got dreamvalley for my daugther to the PS5 she has been playing on my computer for a long time today so i gave in and got it to her ^^ but we can't find the "cloud save" menu button at the title-screeen so she have to start over, is there any problem with the game or can't you make a savegame from PC/Xbox live to PS5? 🙂 thanks
PS5/PS4 doesnt cross save (yet) to other platforms like the others do
@wide edgeAlso right now, personal advice from many of us in here. AVOID signing/using cloud save stuff till the patch addresses things with it. (Else possible issue of losing your progress)

She doesnt need to start over if she already has it, I just want to make you aware of "potential" issues she hopefully never has to suffer with. Its about a "week" we hope when Scar patch does something with progression save issues
(Tho if its not PS5, Yes on any other platform, would be a new save file)

My save file seems to be missing?? I don't remember deleting literally everything I've worked for over 175 hours on. For reference, I'm on a PC, playing through Steam. Any help would be lovely!
I've finished the Star Path, finished all characters up to level 10 friendship, and collected many of the critters. I DO NOT want to start over, especially with literally no time to complete the Star Path.
When I hit "Continue" It brings me to create a new avatar, so it really looks like everything is gone, and I'm truly hoping there's some way to salvage it. I have the Ultimate Founder's Pack, I'm willing to invest in this game, but not if it's not going to respect my time.
Imagine paying a premium for a game that's going to be free next year, as "beta" testers, only to be met with radio silence on key issues? Shaking My Head!!
Yea thats how I feel.. I preordered Ultimate version on switched. Liked it so much at launch, I bought the steam copy standard. Just to... "Not play the game" 😦
I'm having the same issue, it seems like I can't even log into my cloud save. But don't worry, they're working on new updates for realms and many other features.....

I might file a ticket with steam and request a refund tbh. I can include a screeshot of me waiting 3 weeks for a ticket to close only to confirm the game is literally unplayable for me.
I've been asking for better communication on everything, but any time I suggest that to more than others with problems, I get lambasted.
For those that can play the game everything is merry. New season in a little bit of time (Which just ended and we’ve all missed out on with zero comment on if we’ll get it reimbursed), new area. To those we’re just complaining.

Hubby helped me find the text files of my local save, but I can't recover it at all. I literally cannot play this game I dropped $70 on because....why? I submitted a ticket, but, based on everyone's responses, I'm not optimistic.
I submitted a ticket 6 weeks ago and got an automated response saying they received my ticket... But no response since then from anyone. Tickets are a joke
Ouch. That's inexcusable for a company trying to build goodwill amongst a player base they're forcing to pay for a free-to-play game.
The least they can do is give us either a refund/or an equal value of in game currency for what we paid when it’s fixed.
Wouldn’t hurt to gift us the Pixar items either being we couldn’t play during that time.
Don't get me wrong, I totally understand development issues and delays and the work that goes on behind the scenes. I do work myself, but at least I communicate progress and what's being worked on or if certain issues are being addressed.
A simple "hey guys we heard you and we'll look into it" is more than sufficient for anyone and that's all people are asking. Or at least saying "we don't know what the issue is and were stumped so give us time."
Either answer works since it's something and I'd be content... But nothing??
I think going to I’ve to take the plunge and just start over 😭. I had everything finished and I’m so freaking devastated… it’s been just about a month I just want to ply. I tried not starting a new game bc like obviously I want my saves but looks like we aren’t getting any type of answers or fix any time soon…
Even I'll admit. The game is great and I enjoy it. But this limbo feeling is the downside. The not playing it so attention moves to another game instead is what I hate most. Stays much longer and I don't know how much drive I'll have to play "catch up" considering others have now played 3 weeks more then I. My free time is limited as it is. :/
The sad part is, in its current state, there is no guarantee it wont happen again to you. If you do a quick search there are multiple people who started over and the game still reset cloud saves after 10+ hours. One person posted they put in another 40 on a reset and lost it a second time. Couldn't be me.... they need to fix it or I'm ditching this game.
I can't properly connect to the cloud both on PC and Switch- I sent yesterday a report to customer service, no answer yet.
Every time I try to log into the cloud it freezes the "log in" button and doesn't even let me try to create a cloud account due to "issues".
on your pc go to your user folder on your drive ie c:/user/user name then \AppData\LocalLow and look for the gameloft folder after you have uninstalled. That should allow you to do a clean install.
They haven't exactly been radio silent. They have said that the patches and fixes will come out with the update. Two issues with this. 1 You have had players waiting weeks for fixes leaving their games completely unplayable. and 2 the Update could just as easily cause the same issues thus making it appear as though the game never was fixed. Will we have to wait for the Toy Story update then?

My save gone too, there's supposed to be local copies saved to your AppData but its not picking mine up.
I checked my AppData, I had it on Microsoft Store from Game Pass and bought on Steam. So the Microsoft folder has files. The other folder is empty. I got Ultimate Ed on the Steam copy.
I personally hadn’t lost too much progress, it was only five or six hours (compared to the people who have lost days worth of play time), so I really don’t mind if I have to redo those few hours. But missing out on the rest of the Pixar event because I don’t want to play and risk losing even more progress, especially when I had almost collected all of the event items, is the biggest bummer for me especially because I’m a gotta-collect-em-all goblin. I really hope that they compensate for it considering it’s not the players’ fault that we can’t play the game due to the high risk of progression loss
Managed to find mine, the game despite launched from steam, created a new folder called windows_standalone_r
My Steam save was still there but wasn't being used by the game. I made a backup of windows_standalone_r then replaced its contents with the steam copy. Opened the game and its opened my Steam save.
I'm playing on the PS4 and my entire 70hrs file just apparently deleted itself even though I've been religious about saving. The crashing I could deal with even though it's annoying. But losing ALL of my progress after paying for a game is another story 😭

1.) There’s No Way to Create a Cloud Save, I didn’t understand that, since a lot of ppl recommended to create a Cloud Save Account before I even started
2.) I figured (as a new player) that the game being connected to my email, PSN username and all, maybe it has its own CloudSave that could work if ever I switched up platform or accidentally deleted the game.
3.) I happened to have gotten in the game just to find myself looking at a “Create An Avatar” Menu….. very scary, but even more horror since PLAYSTATION did not let me personally create a Cloud account to begin with…
1-2 weeks worth of progress and challenges and having almost all characters level 10 and unlocked all places … very unfortunate, especially since I paid for the game.. I won’t get on the game till it gets fixed, I can’t risk starting over for it to happen again, nor do I want to start again, the Pixar fest just ended so only makes the case worst …..
Just bought the game for my Switch so I can play in bed but my cloud save keeps saying it’s out of sync. I keep saving and it says it works but it lies 😂 I’ve restarted a few times now.
Is your switch connected to real time? Or is it on a random date? That's probably why

Oh then yeah, mine is the same way as of the last 24 hours. Can't log into my cloud save, can't save it either. And they haven't said anything about fixing it either or acknowledging the issue anywhere

I have it for the switch pc and Xbox. I can't log in anywhere. Instant regret buying a beta game where they aren't addressing issues or answering tickets 
If you have PS+ did you check the online storage if it had a backup you can restore?
How do I do that ?
If it hasnt synced up the new save.. You hover over the game icon on PS dashboard, open the side menu for it. Go to Saves? Or something and should be there where you can download the version from the PS Cloud to your local file

PS5 doesn’t have cloud saving. Between consoles, It’s somewhere on this discord FAQ and on the website.
I started playing on my husband’s Xbox one. I purchased an Xbox Series S for myself to play on. So I created a cloud save account on the Xbox one and successfully saved my cloud data. When I try logging into my Xbox series S with the cloud data account, I get an error that says “cannot login since this account already exists”.
yah that's an annoying issue. Apparently it's "tied to the original xbox" system. Same happens with my switch account that I created it on. It won't let me log in on my second switch. I opened up a ticket about this 6 weeks ago, no response
imagine it remains like this until the game is free.. i'd hope everyone who paid for early access but didnt get to play due to this issue is granted a refund.
Ps5 does have its own Sony cloud tho which if people don't auto sync. They can use it as a manual backup to restore. Which is a good advice atm for dlv players.

I logged out of my cloud save and now the game doesn't show the 'Continue' option, even after I logged in again. It only shows the "New Game" option. When I try to log out of my cloud save e-mail to retry, it shows a pop up message that says "Cloud Save Found" and describes my latest save, but even when I click to recover it the game still won't show the "Continue" button. I have over 100 hours on that save, with every Pixar Fest award unlocked, and I don't want to start a new game and lose all my progress. Does anybody know of a possible fix for this?
Hello, my issue is I bought the game on PC and then broke my ankle pretty badly so now I cant sit in my chair to play. I bought it on PS5 but apparently cloud save cross platform doesnt work with ps? Is this going to be an option in the future? I really hope so!

So, just an update. First time i played the game, both my local and save data vanished. After restarting everything (since they were no help in recovering either of my save files) i’ve had the connectivity issue for almost a month now (started on Sept. 18). And now i’ve gotten this reply. They literally make you run around, giving you bs solutions (or in most cases, no solution AT ALL). This is truly so sad. Anyways, maybe the reply i got can help someone out, cause it for sure did nothing for me.

Help please! Have a cloud save on Xbox game pass. Now trying to access it on switch for the first time. Logged into my cloud save account but every time I press continue it goes to the avatar creation screen not loading my cloud save!!
So I must have accidentally time traveled on my switch and when I went to play it’s not respawning but it’s been a week since I cloud saved is there a way to restore to cloud save I tried deleting the app and reinstalling but i didn’t work I didn’t even have to sign it it was like I didn’t even delete it
If you have Moana’s boat unlocked you can check there how much is left on the timer for it to be synced again
I lost my entire game due to a glitch in the map. Had to restart the game and the only choice I had was to click on new game
so my GF has DDV on Xbox but wants to transfer it to her Steam account but when she tries cloud save, it tells her she cant. we tried changing the password and even signing into her cloud save from my PC but it just wont work at all. even recreated it as well
It says 25 days but I don’t remember time traveling to November I know if I wait till then it will go back to normal but I don’t want to wait that’s why I want to fix it
I can't play online for almost 5 days, when will this be fixed?
My advice, if you have the steam version, on your phone/tablet get "Steam Link" youll be able to play remotely your PC file, since you cant cross platform play to PS5
Never it seems, it won't even let me log into the cloud. I type in my E-Mail and it doesn't even acknowledge it.

I would hope so, they said their target was "3 weeks" so that puts them to next week at latest. I really hope it comes through and fixes everything. But it'd be nice to at least even be able to log in to play
Sick of these cloud save issues. I can’t log into my account on my second switch profile, support have replied to me once in the span of a month which offered no remedy whatsoever.
PC version, saving to cloud seem to hate me. At least i have local save but if anything goes wrong i have no backup.

if it's any consolation, i haven't been playing since the first update caused me to lose hours of progress when i switched between platforms (after having zero issue doing so prior to the update), so i've missed a month's worth of shops 🥲
Did they ever respond to the specific issue for those of us that lost 20+ hours of game progress?
Haven't played in a month because of this. Missed out on the star path as well as they closed it before fixing these issues.

So nobody can connect to their cloud save files huh? It's kinda making me give you on playing the game since my most updated file is on switch but the game runs wayy smoother on the PC 😑

I have it on both my PC and switch, i like playing both but I want to use my PC for when I decorate/add furniture as it is easier.... but... cloud save says no

Issue: Cloud save is never in sync unless manually set. Every time I exit the game on either platform I have to manually sync the save or it doesn't sync. There's never a warning through either platform, if I hadn't been warned by other users I would've ended up overwriting progress accidentally. With the save manually synced though cross progression is working great 👍

I bought the Ultimate Edition and Steam suggested that I also bought the Deluxe Edition to “complete collection” which I did thinking I would get more Moonstones.
It then logged me out of all my platforms and now I can no longer access my cloud save / Gameloft account as nothing happens when I type in my password and confirm to login.
I have been playing on the Xbox with game pass but I want to be able to play on the Nintendo switch. My Xbox says the cloud save is synced but when I try to log on with the switch it says “you are already logged in”. When I try to log out on the Xbox it says that the cloud save was not synced and I will lose progress.
Wondering if anyone knows if it’s possible to download your cloud save on the same console. My Xbox profile got hacked/blocked/lost and I can’t get back into the email linked to it at all. I’ve tried creating a new profile but the cloud save is saying there’s already an account linked … which is the one I can’t access. (Sorry if this has been asked before or is a known issue)

Cloud doesn’t work at all for me. I made an account and whenever I try to log in it says “already logged in” bladiebla .. Then when I try to save to the cloud in the game itself it says I’m in online mode but that I cant save, same for the blue chests (ur in online mode but failed to get reward). and the account is made and recognised because I cannot create a new account with the name

I need help. I play on the switch and it won’t log into the cloud save. I’ve had an account since 9/20/22 when I got the game and everything was fine. Then 2 days ago it logged out of cloud save. When I out in my email and password the icon comes up and spins but then nothing happens. No pop up message and I stay logged out. I don’t know what to do

Okay the last couple days me and my boyfriend have been having issues for cloud save. We usually click save and it saves in the cloud but lately we’ll get on and once loaded it’ll say it hasn’t been synced for 3 days and will have ton continuously have to click the cloud button to resync when we used to only have to click save. We get on Xbox s, Xbox one, Nintendo switch

I'm on day 4 of waiting, the cloud just ate my save, and I can't retrieve it, or logout from the cloud to try to get the local save to take over, all I get when I hit Continue is the create a character screen. 176 hours missing.
I know I say this all the time but if anyone happens to come here with very little progress made in game, I highly suggest not playing until this issue is fixed. I know it’s a bummer; my partner has been playing nonstop and I haven’t actually touched the game in weeks but if I lose that much progress I’m personally guaranteed to just not ever play it again.

I can’t connect at all to online. I see no cloud save option on the main menu and the blue chests are appearing but when I try to connect it instantly tells me that I can’t and to keep playing offline

Last I played on Xbox before moving to the switch I was working on a few of the characters favorite items of the day. Friday night, I got the Ultimate Edition on my switch and went to go do my favorite items of the days for my characters, and they were still the same from the late time I played on xbox. So I went to go play on it today and they still haven't updated. I've tried refreshing my game, I've tried to refreshing my switch and nothing fixes it. This is the only issue I have seen so far since moving to the switch. Hopefully there's an easy fix because ||I can't hang out with Ursula or Ariel||
I moved from switch to pc and no longer have my 20k moonstones from the ultimate founders pack - any ideas on when this will be fixed? 😦
did you buy the same edition for both the pc and the switch?
no i just bought the cheaper one on pc but all my other stuff from the ultimate pack are available from the cloud save
I know this isn’t the “best” fix, but if you’re playing on XBOX and want to log out of one cloud save account to use another, you can make a new account on the Xbox and it’ll give you a whole new ID on DDV. Hopefully that helps!
Moonstones stay on platform they were purchased for. You should have one set from one and another on the other.

cloud save is failing to upload, but i was able to log in today with most everything from yesterday saved on my cloud save, and my moonstone boxes were available today to claim
Sending them a ticket is useless based On the responses I've heard here. I haven't even gotten one back from a month ago and the people who do get responses aren't really "solutions" to our problems.
At this rate I'm just hoping and assuming they'll be addressing these issues on the update on the 19th. Wish they'd be more transparent with us though who paid and can't log in to enjoy the game

Issue: Cloud saves stopped working after purchasing "dlc" on steam store page to complete collection. I'm now limited to my local save on one platform.
I also cannot sign in, or create account or connect to online mode at all which will exclude me and anyone else experiencing this from the current and future starpath events

I'm logged in and synced to cloud save on my xbox but when I log in to cloud save on my laptop- using the same xbox account, no less- I get this. no option to continue and I'm not about to open the game and have it sync and lose my so far completed game on xbox
contacting support just gave me a 'We continue our work on game stabilization and we expect it to be even better in the next update.' generic form response which is totally and completely irrelevant to the fact cloud save doesn't work

I stay logged into the cloud always and hit quit game and it saves but not tonight! It said my game had been saved locally but not to the cloud. I tried several times. My internet connection was fine and I was still connected online to Steam. I am Steam/PC It also says I'm 6days/16 hours out of sync.

I hate it because I want to love this game so much. 😦 Maybe the best thing we can do if it is not addressed tomorrow is to leave a negative review on the game based on our customer experience.
I have written to Gameloft, Steam and also tagged mods as well as well as written to @iron barn and no one has replied and acknowledged that it’s an issue for a lot of us, so we’re just sitting in uncertainty and hoping for a chance to have restored our account functionality with the patch tomorrow.
Sorry to say but the patch tomorrow might fix the cloud save issue going forward, but there's no way its recovering anyones data. They screwed the pooch on cloud save functionality early and thats why they are ignoring everyone.
@zenith totem My problem is that there’s no addressing whether it might or not for us who have completely lost the ability to connect to our accounts, loss of save files are a separate issue.

My biggest fear;
- A while ago Gameloft stated that those that can not connect to the internet, dont have to worry and can just continue playing their game offline and save locally.
Now they’re saying “make sure you save to the cloud”.
I hope that with this update they dont force push people their last cloud saves instead of using their local file.

So I just wrote in dreamlight help and someone told me that cloud safe is for everyone using cross play to make sure there arent conflicts with multiple safes so lets hope the update will fix the servers / After the update that the servers allow us to save in cloud
Honestly, the safest thing to do would be to just continue on your PS5 right now.
From what i’ve seen and heard, PS5 has basically the least to no issues.
If you’re wanting to play handheld, i’d recommend using a tablet + controller and PS Remote Play. Or invest in a PS Backbone for you phone.
But definitely try to stay on your PS5 for now.

PS5 lost all data... 128 hours and when logging on continue goes to avatar create. Closed and opened app 3 times with the same before creating a new to go in and see the damage if only Avatar. Everything gone including all founder items and all progress which was apx 1/3 to 1/2 of each set... including all quests completely done and probably 100 chests full of items

Yeah I mean..I was too scared to go through the avatar create but obviously not going to continue with this game if it doesn’t get fixed. Way too much progress to just randomly lose
me too so I closed the app a few times and then I went into the PS Cloud save and saw the last save was right away which means they auto save at start so at that point I knew both my local and cloud save was gone

weird is they have some account trackers as my "Event Items" were in my inventory and collected but nothing else. No founder items, none of the quest items (we finished every quest for every char), nothing crafted or bought, etc
Hi I am playing on switch and even though I made a save file for the cloud the day of launch I have never been able to save I get the "failed to upload cloud save to server" I have good internet connection and my husband on his switch is out of sync by 22days and 19 hours and gets the same error message.
I am hearing lots of people say that if you can't save to the cloud before the update you could lose all of your progress. I have played for hours every day since launch and if I lose all of that progress.. also my husband sent an email to support over a week ago about other issues and never got a response.
The devs should delay the update until this is fixed and if they don't we should flood their support emails demanding refunds if we all lose our progress.

same here, PS5 only, lost 80 hours data a month ago, out of nowhere. At first I thought ive missclicked "new game" bc it went straight to create avatar, then turns out it was a cloud issue, although, I dont see many people complaining about this bug in particular. I couldnt complete the star path in time because of this. At least next time I play I am going to craft 2 Ariels crafting station and keeping one for myself

Yah I see the "improved cloud save" in the patch notes and a screenshot... But they're acting as if that's a new feature. The cloud save conflict screen has always been there prior. Without the word "recommended" that they added in....
... But the real test is to see if cloud saves work period.
I´m on Steam, PC, and I have never been able to cloud save, even if I try many times. It always says that it failed to upload.

PC through XBox, although I've bought the game and I'm not playing via GamePass. I was able to get it to sync 1 time to the cloud, 32 days ago. I know it's recommended that we "Re-try", which I've done each and every time I get the failed to sync message. Anyone know if the "improved cloud save" will actually allow the cloud sync feature to work? Or do I keep hoping nothing happens to my local save? I absolutely love this game and it would be heart breaking to lose all the progress.

Platform I’m having the issue on: PC/Steam. I was able to upload my cloud save to my computer. And play on it. But when I try to save it to the cloud and update it, it gives me a server error. You guys suggest backing up my back to the cloud before tomorrow but I can’t!!
Further more, I checked to see if logging out and back into the cloud would work, but nothing happens when I put in my password. And I know it’s the right one, because a wrong one tells me it’s wrong. It just loads for a second then nothing. And I can’t click the log in button again unless I wait for the cut scene to play.
I am NOT signed in on my switch. And the switch has the same issue. At this point I can only assume the servers are overloaded. I guess I don’t care if I loose 4 hours of play. It’s just frustrating.

I just got my cloud save to work with being out of sync for 4 days. I’m on Xbox so I did a local save then I completely quit out of the game reopen with local save and save to cloud as soon game loaded.

Did you buy the same pack on both? I know the account cloud system glitches on Steam if you buy more than one pack, making you unable to ever log in. I'm suspecting the same can happen if you buy the same pack on Switch as with Steam.

But yes I bought the base 30 dollar game on both. And I've always have been able to log in on both steam and switch until 1 week ago when it just stopped working on steam. I can put in my credentials, but when I click on Log In nothing happens
I'm also logged in on my steam deck, but when saving my game it's saying I'm in "offline mode" and won't save to the cloud either
@desert egret I bought Deluxe Edition on top of my Steam Ultimate Edition which broke the account cloud system on all my platforms, even my Switch that has just the Founders Edition
Yah I didn't have this problem due to any purchases as I bought them on both systems when DLV was released. I only just had a steam account log in issue on the cloud as of the past week or so.. It's super frustrating regardless especially since I'm sure a lot of people prefer to play on different systems

Others can log in. The only change for us is that they're now presenting us with an error screen.

i mean i get that we are kind of buying an early access game, but the fact that it's almost unplayable for us due to cloud save issues is really unfair imo. and it really irks me because NO ONE is addressing our issues. :/ why can people easily cloud save? why can't we?
i bought it first on switch and wanted to buy it for pc too so i bought the same pack b/c i was told if you didn't it would mess up your game for the pc, ever since then I can't log into my cloud- it logged in once the first time so I have all my progression from the switch but after that it never let it go through
It's an issue with buying packs on Steam, I swear.
It's because Gameloft posted the game wrongly as DLC. This guy was trying to help his mother who had bought two packs on Steam and went on to chat with Steam support.
I’m sure there’s something to this for sure. I have it for switch and I didn’t have an issue with cloud save until Nintendo refunded my game so I could buy the ultimate instead. I had the deluxe originally
They also posted the Avatar Designer Tool wrong in Steam, meaning you can't download it if you already have the game.
So what I’m hearing is I should keep pc game pass and not buy in steam yet? Lol

I did at first, but I tried syncing a few times and then it finally synced and saved
It told me i was offline then when i went back into the game my house was reverted back to the boards on the walls along with chezremy and scrooge. so i restarted and still nothing. thankfully all my items inside the house are still there but the outside still looks boarded up.
I can get on now and save but the issue above is still prevelant

Since the update I keep getting an error message saying I’m offline (e.g. when opening chests or clicking on save to cloud). When I click on ‘return to title menu’ it tells me I’m playing offline and it can’t be uploaded to cloud. I am playing online so this shouldn’t be happening and this wasn’t happening before the update. Platform: Switch. Any help with resolving this? Additional point - the star path is also not working - message saying I’m offline.
The issue with being able to buy / having multiple Founders Editions on Steam that causes conflict to account / cloud saves has been brought to the CMs now who are sending it to the department for investigation.
They didn’t do that with the Pixar event star path despite this issue forcing many of us to miss it so probably unlikely 🙃

my cloud save will work for about twenty minutes before i get kicked out into playing offline. and since the update the freezing and error closing has seriously gotten worse
they were suppose to fix this issue in this update
