Reset this evening, and I got all my stuff back (aside from the letters containing the extra dream shards!)

Assisted someone in restarting (they had an old save file that couldn’t be accessed). They started a new game with a fresh cloud save email address and when they loaded the game they still had the first week croc. So there’s definitely a chance the first week items are tied to the account like the founders items are, so restarting on the same account might be there. No guarantees of course, but anecdotally have heard this.

I have the ultimate edition and when I reset I kept everything, even the first week rewards and the Pixar event items, but not the moonstone. I've only got 500 and I never spent any. I did a livestream the other day and alerted the mods, but I don’t think they saw it. This answers a lot of questions. This was filmed on September 18th and I did not get the week one bonus items (it was after the first week, so makes sense)
The start of the video is very slow and boring, but I didn’t want to edit it - thought something as important as this should be left in its raw format.

According to devs, you should keep everything. Many people noticed their first week bonuses disappeared though (croc and ears). The items should be in inventory, not mailbox.

Yep, but your new set of moonstones will be console locked to the switch. You can still spend them on the switch, and what you buy should be available on both consoles in your cross save

Just wanted to pop in here and post this.

After wrestling with myself, I decided to restart tonight. I bought the Ultimate Edition on the Switch 2 days after the game launched. I was level 40, etc. & I had the 1st week bonuses.

I can say that all my items including my 1st week bonuses are here. I'm not sure if it's because I had cloud saved a few days ago (in terms of the 1st week bonuses) or not- I know I got my Ultimate Edition items back even after restarting because of info I looked up in the server (game news, Sept 8) starting that those were tied to the platform you purchased it on and not the save file. I can honestly say that I almost burst into tears when I saw that I still had my little Choco Crocodile

To add onto this, in terms of my 1st week bonuses, the game loaded my previous cloud save file before I hit new game (I had deleted my data, uninstalled and then reinstalled the game before doing "new game") so I'm wondering if that's why I still have him (which I'm so happy about).

You are supposed to keep all your founders items and first week bonuses, but not the extra dreamshards. I have heard a few people say they didn’t have the first week things. I think they can just report it and should eventually get them back. I’m not positive about completed Star path items though.

You should be able to just log in with the cloud save on steam and the new stuff should be in your mailbox. It may just be in your inventory though.

You should. They’re all locked to your purchase account. There have been a few bugs where people didn’t, but most people now seem fine. They’ll just be in inventory this time, not mail. And you don’t get any extra dreamshards so grind for them at dig spots.

Anything that you got such as star path items/founder items are yours to keep as they are account bound. Moonstones are also account bound but also platform locked, so if you decided to start on another platform you wouldn't have those.

anything you got as a store item, companion presents, chest item - those you have to find again.

Founders pack, moonstones, and star path items stay. Anything you got from the Scrooge store or from chests and the like have to be regarhered.

What "first event" do you mean - the star path? Restarting will not give you access to past events!

I seriously have no idea what I missed. The first few days “Event” tab wasn’t even there. It appeared when an event or Star Path (I really don’t know what it was exactly) appeared after Remy asked me to get him a house. Then the game crashed. The next day the Event tab was on empty.

Correct. The event tab is for the star path. They last like 35 days, then end and you have like 6 days to use any tokens you had. Then there's some blank time. Next one starts on Tuesday!!

You have to reach a certain point before it appears. If it took you a few days to reach that point, that's why. 🙂 But you only have to gather the tools and go through the castle for it to sync to real time, which is when it should become available! So if you're trying to restart because you missed the event, don't. That one doesn't come back, but a new ones starts!

The halloween ones! 🙂 They specifically asked about those. If you restart your game, you can redo all the Halloween "village" duties except for the 3-course-meal because that one requires the candy that was in the buckets.

Yes reset profile is the new option to restart. If you do lose your items make sure to file a support ticket so they can assist in getting them back

An update! I ended up resetting and so far it seems like all of my starpath and premium rewards are all there! So if anyone else has a game breaking glitch and needs comfort in deciding if resetting is the right choice.
