That's a very broad question, especially concerning villains - but really, there's only one candidate for my top character.

Donald Duck is an ugly representation of humanity - he's petty, he's spiteful, he's belligerent... but at the back of it all, he's just some guy, just like the rest of us.
No matter what crazy adventure he goes on, he never really develops a spirit for it - he just wants to go home, have an ice-cream soda and watch TV.
That, and he's just so real - the world beats him down at every opportunity. And yet, unlike a lot of protagonists who always try to see the best, Donald very openly recognizes the worst - that his family and peers can be a pain, that his life is hard, and that a lot of his effort tends to end up going nowhere.

No matter what scenario you put him in, he's going to behave as a person. Sometimes, that's a lazy person who easily succumbs to his vices. Sometimes, that's a person who just wants to have a decent day without too much work. Sometimes, he's a petty jerk who has way too much fun at the expense of others.
And sometimes, he just wants to be okay.

I have a dual set up for retro gaming and TV: EmuVR on my PC which allows you to play your retro games and DVDs etc as VHS tapes, you can even add the art and boxes and stuff if you like and customize your own retro gaming space ❤️ and my other setup outside of that: you can rip your own DVDs of older shows, store them all on a NAS server, then use Ersatz to stream them as TV channels. Then you just use a HDMI-AV converter and I have my own retro TV channels that I can watch on a CRT (or any other device).

I think mine was literally like £10. But aside from using it for retro gaming, you can also use it for old TV shows and movies too. For example, if you wanted to watch classic cartoons like Looney Tunes on a CRT, you can buy the DVD set, rip them to a PC, store them all on a NAS server and then use Ersatz to stream them to your CRT 🙂 effectively making your own TV channels that play retro stuff

This takes some setting up lol but it's a neat app, it lets you play your backups on a virtual CRT in a room you can customise but the games actually have their proper discs, carts, boxes etc which is kind of cool.

You don't technically need VR to run it as it does have a desktop mode too, its just more immersive in VR.

I think that's partly intention game design.
Crash 4 is the hardest game in the series even to just get to the ending in a normal playthrough. And going for 100%... I'm not very good at videogames, but I have patience and just keep trucking along until I eventually beat the level or boss I'm on. But trying to complete Crash 4 was one of the first times I've given up on a game lol.
I got to the ending, looked at how much stuff you need to do for 100% and just went "It isn't worth it" soooo many level replays.

They added a little circle under Crash showing you where you're going to land when you jump which does help but still...

Getting the blue gem in Crash 2 by not breaking any box is fine, its the first level, the boxes are spaced out and its fairly easy to not break any.
In Crash 4 they put the blue gem in a random level like halfway into the game with an absolute ton of boxes and right at the end of the stage they place a stack of boxes right in front of where you will land with the glide meaning unless you're already moving in the other direction you break one and have to start the whole level again 🤣

So finally got my perfect map for ACNH Vanilla Island. After spending Days searching since 3.0 came out. Got my blue airport, roses as my flower AND Cherry is one of my starters. I got pears as fruit and Moose as my Jock (ick) I would have preferred Oranges and not a Mouse, but honestly the only jock villagers I don't mind are Coach and Mac. But odds of me getting Cherry and one of them are low and I said to myself last night if I got Cherry and the blue air port I'd be done.

Getting 3/5 of my wants/likes plus the perfect map is pretty good imo
