Ah, fair enough. I do think the older games are definitely a lot easier to pick up. FireRed and LeafGreen are sort of reboots of the originals (which are worth playing but obviously dated) so a good place to start if you ever wanted to try!

In my opinion they just started losing their charm. I think the games of the first 4 generations are magical and great. And then they just became something else. I’m glad that new media means they continue to gain new fans. But it’s just become a whole other animal.

So next custom plush, Joanna the Goanna from Rescuers Down Under. She is a Christmas present for my partner’s sibling. I used two base patterns as a base, customizing one with her neck, tail, made her more chubby and another pattern for her hands. We also made custom eyes to match her distinct gaze. The last steps that is planned, is we will be adding an extra seperate tooth and a detachable tongue. Took three days, but definitely proud.

This is very uncommon in discussions about emotional honesty; most media parrots the ideology that Charlie is speaking out against, and when there are examples in which this honesty is discussed, it is still often mitigated with assurances that the relevant characters are on the path to recovering, to being happy, and any number of other platitudes. ‘The Grand Finale’ decides to leave Charlie with his truth; while there is a well-earned catharsis in Charlie coming to terms with why he thinks and behaves in the ways that he does, there is no attempt made to ‘fix’ or change him. The story ends with Charlie embarking on his own adventures, but he is still the grumpy figure that we see from the beginning; the same person, but with more emotional clarity.
In conclusion, ‘Charlie the Unicorn: The Grand Finale’ has a striking climax simply because, despite the bizarre premise of the series, it ends with a poignant example as to why being true to oneself is integral to being happy, and why social norms can be detrimental to our health, and often make little sense when scrutinized.
