That's definitely odd - did you try to reload the game? Is it a specific T-shirt? And if that didn't work, can you please make a bug report in #1491385225530445875 ?

It would be a layering thing if you couldn't wear certain t-shirts if you were wearing a bracelet, but PicklePrincess is saying she can't wear a T-shirt unless wearing a bracelet. A bracelet shouldn't be required.

Take off EVERYTHING you are wearing, go into each category and click what you are wearing to remove it, even shoes, pants, everything. Once everything that can be removed has been removed, save it as a preset if you want because it's super handy trust me 🤣 but then change base body type to the opposite of what you are now, then change it back, save the game, reload, then try to put on a t shirt.

I you have Floating Islands, you can usually go to one, edit the map list so they're allowed there, and they should appear.
If not, turn off everyone else on the map, then enter and re-exit their house, and they will normally come out with you

I’m playing the Arcade version. And a few months ago I took a break. When I came back I got a notification that the camera had changed.

now when I get close to things will kinda go from half to fully invisible the closer to the camera it is so I can still see. This is fine. However when I get a new character to valley the well is almost completely invisible in the cutscene and is half invisible in the photo with the character, where before the well was always perfectly visible in cutscenes and in photos. I have pictures of before and after the change.

Any advice?

@twin wraith re: #1491392392522371162 that task is worded very weirdly. It means to let your companion pick things up, instead of you doing it. The easiest are flowers or wood, but anything will work. If you choose gardening, for example, take along a buddy to throw extra items and then let the gardening critters pick them up.

Yup, been playing for a few years now. I even got the message that confirms it was submitted with the time. I did not take a screenshot of it but I will start doing this since it seems to be a common problem. I just didn’t think it would be so difficult to actually have someone look into the account and send the rewards if you didn’t get them.

Look for the rotting fruit at the following specific locations in the South Market:

• Next to Aladdin: One pile sits right beside Aladdin.
• Near the Stairs: Another pile is to the right of the staircase.
• Market Left: A third pile is on the left side of the South Market, just past the two dust devils. [1, 2, 4]

All of those are relatively easy. The keys are Aladdin. Some of those aren't actually quest items and can be used.

I stick my stuff in vintage storage so I can access it from almost anywhere if I need it.

It's that first chest that comes with your house - it shares storage with others of its kind, making it easy to access the items from anywhere. So I put my quest items in there so I don't lose them and I can just drop an extra when I need whatever is in there.

Not sure if this is the place to ask, but hopefully somebody can give me some guidance, I’m very late in the spring time floating festival and being that it ends tomorrow I won’t be able to get the gardeners apron by feeding the capybara for four days. Would time traveling backwards allow me to feed the capybara “ four different days” so I would be able to unlock the outfit? I’ve never time traveled before so I have no idea how it actually works when it comes to events. Thanks for any advice!

Time Travelling in DDV is a terrible idea and can break your game 😅
Backward is less dangerous, but, in general, you should never think of it as a viable solution for DDV.

Yup, sounds about right. The mine in particular is not very good about giving shinies, but that's just how RNG goes. If you have a pickaxe potion, use it so that if you get a shiny, you get more. Take some mining pets and mining buddies for the same reason. Keep your energy bar yellow.

I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but I'm on the Quest "The Dreamlight Grove" and I'm needing 1 last Dreamlight fruit. For some reason 1 was given to Simba and now the tree isn't growing any anymore, even after 24 hours. Is there somewhere else I can get the fruit?

It takes exactly 24 hours for it to grow more fruit. It only comes from those trees.

It's not "for some reason", it was for the quest. The tree gives you three, you give one to him, and it's basically teaching you the spawn rate.

If you used miracle grow on the tree to grow it instantly instead of waiting for it to grow, there have been reports of that causing the tree to never regrow fruit. That's only a possibility though if you grew it instantly with the potion. Otherwise you may have just misjudged the time.

They will not be fixing that - it is something that has existed since day one. You aren't supposed to use elixirs on quest items. If you created a backup save, you can roll back your progress to before you did that. Otherwise...I do believe your only other option would be to start from scratch unless @stiff vine has other ideas.

Unknown. What we know is that the elixir can break quest items. I don't know the exact quest text for the step they are on - if it says to harvest or something similar, then getting the fruit another way will not complete the quest. No quest completion, no other trees.

Its like moana's boat. They spawn 1 per 10 minutes. Small traps give 3, medium 4, large 5.

yes i had done the fishing and given it to Pocahontas and there was the animation for the building decorations. then there was a weird glitch and the quest description turned to that and every time i talk to her she asks me to find more but theres no ripples and the decorations are already built

Yes, that's accurate. The best use of that one is placing items you always want to have access to, so you can get them from any Vintage chest. They all share the same inventory as what's in the chest in your house.

There aren't any chests available to buy from Scrooge in the base game that have separate storage; you have to craft them. There is some furniture he sells with storage, though, like fridges and wardrobes.

Make sure "collect everything" or "collect what is in bag" is turned on in your critter screen. If you choose the latter, make sure you have the items you want them to collect in your bag. Honestly, it's easiest with the ones who collect flowers and wood, then just run around and let them pick them up.

Drag her around everywhere with you - they get XP for everything, just more for their skill. So take her everywhere, do everything. Make sure you do the favorite gifts, conversations, scramblecoin if you have Rift. You can spam-gift things like shiny presents if you have access to that. But honestly, just drag her around, make sure you do her quests as you get them.

Some quests will make the characters follow you - make sure you don't have his quest tracked at all. Sometimes they'll follow you anyways but often it works to just not track it

That happens - unfortunately, all you can do is wait like 5 mins for the autosave to kick in and then relaunch the game.

And we would never treat you badly for asking for help! That's what we are here for. Around updates we get crazy busy and it can be a little harder to get help just because there's not a lot of us that are here on the regular, and we gotta play to be able to help, and it gets SLAMMED. Just be patient and "we will answer your question in the order in which it was received" as long as we see it and can. LOL

OP: if you want a close up of a character, like everyone else is posting, use mode 2 and Pan, you can go up, down and all around. If you want a wide shot then your best bet is mode 3 and panning.

If you want something else then use Mode 3 and use a Dolly or Crane Shot. Which is the opposite of Panning/Rotating in a camera.

I'm not degrading, just trying to help clarify. Mode 2 is not panning. To pan, the camera must be fixed. Imagine the camera on a tripod. Then you turn the camera. That is panning. In mode 2, there's clearly no possibility for a tripod as the camera itself moves around the character. Panning is most clearly expressed in selfie mode, but I never use selfie mode, so if you want to achieve panning outside of selfie mode you HAVE to use mode 3. It's not a big deal, just wanted to be clear in case they actually wanted to pan and not rotate.

Actually now that I'm thinking about it I don't think you can pan in selfie mode actually, so it pretty much is just mode 3. I'd have to check again, I haven't used selfie mode in a million years. 🤣

I’ve watched every tutorial possible in both English and French; I understand the concepts better now, but I’m struggling with the actual composition and creation. I just can't seem to create good layouts.

I usually pull out all the objects I want to use for the theme, but once they're on the ground, I get stuck. When I try to place them, it ends up looking messy, poorly positioned, empty, or just uncreative.

It switches to say it's available when the weather is right and it's there usually, mine does. There have been syncing issues with weather events, on PlayStation for example players can't see rain at all right now. You'll just have to keep an eye on it and keep checking, going into a building and coming back out to make sure things reload.

Her game is already glitched. The fish only spawn in December, and they disappear, they don't stay spawned in outside of the short time period they are available. I have never seen anyone get them during any other time of the year.

If the game IDs are the same, that's a problem. If the IDs are different then you are fine. If they unlinked your save because you told them you wanted to start a totally new game on switch which is what I'm assuming you wanted from the context, there should not be a continue option. So double check the IDs.

Barn wood isn't actually as rare as that, but you must not be finding it. It can sometimes be hidden at the base of tree clusters and houses. If it helps, every biome (named area) in the Wishing Alps holds 2 barn wood at a time. It's a lot less than normal Valley wood, but it also respawns very, very quickly. If you have ancient Vacuums or a dog companion, you should be able to make circuits of the Alps, collecting from each biome, and by the time you're finished it should be respawned in the first one.

Hey! Does anyone know if there is an issue with Olafs grand exhibition quests? I have fed both the calico rabbit and the black sea turtle multiple times over weeks (as the only appear 1x a week) and these are not being marked as fed companions or showing in the quest log.

Do you mean you ask them to hang out and they don't, or just that they always go back inside when you're done?
Make sure, on the character list on the Valley map, they're actually allowed outside (if they're greyed out, they will never come outside. You have to set this for every DLC and Floating Island map too)
If that's not the problem, do you have their quests done? It sounds like they might have a quest stage where you're supposed to meet them inside their house for something.

Check your storage items, including realm storage, and make sure you didn't pick it up early and stash it because you didn't know what to do with it.

If that fails, you can contact support, let them know the item is nowhere to be found, send a pic of the area it should be, and specifically request that they send you the missing item.

Just check storages first, even if you think "I would never store anything there", because if they send it and you find it later, you're stuck with an extra quest item you can never get rid of.

Also on the beach there is sand that I didn't pick up immediately and now it is a little see-through and I can't walk over it

This is like the 5th time that my wife’s progress have randomly reset, gotten overwritten, or randomly pushed in an old random save.

She was playing a game she had already had to reset “for like the 4th time due to glitches, random progress reset issues, etc”, earlier today.

A few hours later she goes back in to continue, and it’s a completely different save, random progress. I’ve put a lot of money into this game for her and it’s nothing but issues.

Like I don’t even play the game, but there’s a random save attached to my Xbox profile if I click continue. A random account of hers from the past, that she literally deleted. It just makes no sense, and have had zero support from Gameloft, that’s across Speedstorm too

Deleting on the player end does not exist. Gameloft has to assist with unlinking on their end to fully separate a specific game from a specific profile.

If she's always playing on the same exact xbox console, she should always be selecting the "local save" when presented with an option to select between cloud and local saves.

No, but they don't reset every day, they just spawn new ones. If you didn't find yesterdays and it didn't rain to water them, they'll still be there.
By logging in for only a few minutes for a few days (no rain), I've been able to accumulate up to five days worth of dried flowers in various biomes. (Dangerous, though -- you never know when it's going to be raining when you log in, so it's not a great idea.)

The first time I discovered it by accident, because I'd been in a "only log in for Scrooge" slump, and happened to find them in two biomes on Eternity Isle. I was very weirded out.
Later I intentionally tested by only logging in for a few minutes for a couple weeks and only checking for flowers after it had been more than one day. I managed to hold off for 5 days once before I broke and went looking. I did find them all.
Of course trying to do that is a pain, because A) you don't get to actually play, and B) there's always the chance it will be raining when you log in and you'll lose them all. There's no reason to do it except for testing 👀

There's no order to anything. This game is very much play as you want. Pick a character, play until you hit a roadblock (need a different character, need an area, etc) and then work on that. That's how I did it to keep from getting overwhelmed - or distracted, because ADHD squirrel brain likes to follow the shinies, LOL

But really, there is no particular order to go in.

It's the same as dreamlight magic - you just need to do tasks. EVENTUALLY you will learn how to turn snippets into storybook magic, but I would hold off on that until you are done needing snippets (if you're like me and hate catching them). Just like with dreamlight magic, sometimes you can get some from feeding critters or clearing inkies, but that's not a reliable way - and even the crafting is small beans, best for a boost when you're almost to where you need to be but not quite. Duties, duties, and more duties will always be the way to collect whatever currently that particular map area has.

The Jade Crystal recipe used to appear as soon as you caught a bottle but when testing it did not appear until I had turned the 16th bottle into a shard which I thought odd, mods are known to break the game, the only fix is usually to reset the profile and start over.

Sometimes there is a delay in things counting, especially if you are tracking on screen. If something is weird, it's always best to try a relaunch to see if it resolves.

It was an item that I could move and was placed in the vale I know a lot of items exist solely for the quest but they would still be there if I didn’t pick them up to move them.

She's involved in other people's quests, such as Cinderella's. If she's involved in other quests, you'll need to go find her wherever that is. For example, for the Cinderella level 2, she's in Daisy's Boutique but doesn't show as such on the map.

Otherwise, you will need to make sure she's enabled on the map. You can try using a summoning item to get her to show up, or summon her to an island.

i keep trying to find donal duck and hes completely glitched out of my valley. ive done all the tricks, go to his house and come out, click his icon in the mickey book on the left side of the map fast travel to try to render him. restarted my game about 10 times in the last 3 days. please help its the only part of the path i need to complete is to hang out with donald 🙁

Check in the cursed cave, where you first find Ursula, he may be waiting for you there as part of a quest.

My DV has began to save to my device rather than the cloud and I can't seem to get it to switch over. I remember when I used to play I would get a pop up all the time asking me if I would like to play on my local save or the cloud save, but I don't seem to be getting that anymore.

Only if your microsoft cloud save isnt working specifically. The cloud save within the game is Gameloft's, and that's the only cloud save that actually matters. Make sure you purposefully cloud save there before logging off and you'll be good to go.

Always use the "Save to Cloud" button under "Settings" when planning to open the game on a different device or platform the next time, that is usually the only time you should get the "Cloud save Conflict" box and would want to choose the cloud save to move your game progress to that device or platform from the prior one, the Xbox cloud save is only reliable when moving between Xbox consoles, it will not transfer progress to or from Xbox app on PC in my experience, neither will the Steam cloud save, even on PS and Switch which are pretty reliable at transfering progress between devices I still use the Gameloft cloud save.

That's the most likely culprit. I have found some after 6 months because they were hiding under something. If you have the vacuum from the rift in time and it's level 3, they'll pick up the eggs. Very helpful for cleaning up after events!

How do you get more shiny gems to drop? I've been mining of two hours and have only gotten 1 gem, I need 6 more the path

There is no guaranteed way. However, if you have the mining axe elixir for your pickaxe, when you DO get a shiny, you will get more of them. So make sure your bar is yellow and use those if you have them

Went through the list of quest and craft items that don’t register properly until it was fixed.

If you have items that you know you crafted but aren't registering, if you still HAVE said items, you can just place them down and pick them back up again to clear.

I don't know for sure but I would doubt it highly, because those islands are not considered part of the valley. And they did not exist when those tasks were added to the game.

I'm working on Simba's Seed of Memories quest, and need to plant the Dreamlight Tree seeds, but I don't see an area already made for the seeds to be planted, and they don't come up as an option when I dig and go to plant seeds, even though they are in my inventory. That only brings up the pumpkin seeds in my inventory. Am I missing a step?

You need to walk across the bridge closest to the Vitalys Mines, and the straight back to the pond. You'll have to dig the hole yourself, but you know you're in the right spot when it lets you plant

If you crossed the bridge and walked straight back to the pond, you should be on the right spot. But yes, dig some spots near the pond until it lets you plant that.

Are you sure cause with premium path I only had 10 extra tokens after every dutie, I can't imagine it's possible to finish without premium

As long as you aren't doing the free path, yes. There are three "paths" - free, premium, and then what we call premium +. Free does not give you access to all the rewards. Premium is the one you pay for that gives you access to everything. Premium + is the one that starts you off with extra tokens - which is just a way of giving you a head start on getting the decor.

So as long as you are doing the path that gives you access to all rewards, you will have enough tokens every time to buy everything, including the moonstones at the end. #1224028347454197790 for more detailed info.
