That type of problem is often caused by DDV being on an SD but if you don't have one make sure you have enough free space after the reinstall, that is another common source of problems.

There's a chance I might be the only one who knows this reference, but, that quest is like that episode of Frasier where they do the auto class and the instructor says twist and pull, and Niles and Frasier can't do it because you are actually supposed to twist then pull. So I say to DDV, to paraphrase Niles, in the future the phrase collect THEN eat might be more helpful.

It usually happens when he's in his house. Try summoning him to an island and asking there, if he won't go to the island, you have to wait for him to leave his house. Make sure you aren't on any quests that require him to be in his house.

You have to visit the scrooge shop every day to get a chance at cute items in his shop, upgrading his shop gets access to more stuff for sale. If you have the DLCs, unlock his shop on each DLC map because each shop has different stuff. Keep an eye on premium shop and participate in the star path for other cute items.

Best tip for decorating is to not try to do too much at once. Start in one biome with one thing you really want in that area, then branch out from there. Like if you really want the shop in the plaza for example, place it where you want it, then decorate around it, then decide what you want to go next to it, then next to that, and so on.

There are 2 tents and a chest in Mulan's realm that are storage they could be stashed in, You used to be able to use salmon from Moana's boat or trades (ask in https://discord.com/channels/938880698478125057/1448342433732624444), if the salmon have a quest symbol you will probably have to find the 3 missing ones.

I’ve found potions help. Also open them as you get them because when I did my orbs in general, every third memory was coins.

I also dug up in Haute Plateau if you have WBR.

(thankfully, they should not be giving orbs unless you already have every shard that comes from that color - at which point if you see the pattern, you can leave those until you get the star path tasks to earn coins. It helps!)

Yeah, it's an issue with PlayStation controllers and happens a lot. It's best to use an Xbox controller instead, as it seems to only repeatedly happen to PS gamepads.

Guys I hope this is the place to help. I quit playing on switch because of crashing and I like to decorate and I bought the game for laptop and I loved it, so much easier, nicer and graphics and I can still take it with when we travel. Ever since WBR DLC my VALLEY plays so bad, lags terribly, takes forever to load. Going in an out of buildings.The sound skips and Items take forever to load on screen. It started with the WBR update but it runs fine in WBR and EI and SBV. I can't go 10 feet without it freezing, trying to do anything is so frustrating. My laptop starts to run loudly and it gets hot. I have a cooling pad with fan under it, it helps but it started to get better and then with this Pocahontas update it is worse than ever. I only play DDV on the this laptop. It is a couple years old. I don't know anything about the insides of a system. Of course I play through steam but I literally quit playing. I miss the game. I figured it has to do with my system but don't know why it is just the VALLEY and sometimes it works better but yesterday I quit trying to go in an out of museum to finish it was't possible. It takes forever to load game. I know the requirements for the game and it has always worked great. I truly don't know what I need, someone mentined this system and I am hoping someone can tell me if it is good for the game, I don't want minimum with new DLCS coming. Thanks in advance but I need to do something because I simply cannot play since WBR on my valley. I feel like I got to strip everything down but what is point. Those are nearly identical specs to one of my gaming laptops that runs DDV quite well at medium high graphics settings, it sounds like your game files are fragmented and the drive may be getting full on your existing laptop, you can try this to see if it can be made to run better on it, , first make sure you have at least 25G of free space on the drive that DDV is installed on, even more is better, Follow this guide to make a backup save: https://discord.com/channels/938880698478125057/1295498853642010705 , then uninstall DDV from within Steam and use the tools in W11 to clean up the drive and run TRIM on it, can ask Windows or Google how to do those, once it's cleaned up reinstall DDV,

Oh. I don't recommend laptops for gaming at all. As far as those specs go, they seem decent for a laptop, but anytime you buy a laptop for gaming, you are getting a laptop for gaming. It's not going to be a painless experience.

Try the uninstall, clean drive, reinstall routine, it can make a world of difference as the updates seem to scatter parts of the game all over the drive.

Yeah, DDV is one of the more demanding games, it requires more than you might think to run. Some people tend to think of "gaming" as the big triple A shooters and think DDV doesn't compare to that, but it does, it just doesn't rely on latency the same.

I lowered settings in game, but sure what they all mean and nothing changed. It was working perfectly before wbr. I'm not sure how to do the other stuff said. I've had steam verify files, check for issues. Since the wbr update, my system really runs fast, gets hot. So confusing. Nothing changed. I watch videos, do a little work and play ddv on it. That's all. With this new whisper update, it takes a couple minutes to load game and the sounds skips worse.

Set everything to PC Low and "texture Quality" to Low, that may help but I haven't tested on my low end PC since the update, you may need to go to PC Very Low or even Ultra Low on the graphics preset to get acceptable performance on your integrated graphics.

No, but my decorating method might help you! I keep my favorites empty, and use favorites only for decorating. So when I'm getting ready to decorate a particular area, I go through my entire catalog and add everything that fits my theme and design goals for that area to favorites, then I have everything that will make sense in that area all in one concise list to choose from as I go.

Having an issue with playing a switch cloud save on Xbox

Logged in on Xbox, and the cloud save is not there at all, and switch is now telling me I have to delete my local save to log in to Gameloft

Sounds like you had a different save file on Xbox with a different user ID, and when you used your Gameloft account on Xbox it linked that save to it. You can only move a save to a console account that has never created one before. You'll have to contact support for them to sort it.

Odd, this update actually helped smooth out things on my Switch, still annoying compared to my PC's but it's playable in a pinch, make sure you don't have one of the skins on the castle ormain fountain and put away any big fancy premium shop things like the aurora as most of them greatly increase the CPU and GPU loads when in the main valley.

Can anyone help me? I have tried contacting gameloft multiple times on this and i am getting frustrated. In storybook vale- i have leveled all the way up merida, flynn and hades. I started knights of the round table but i am stuck because i cannot remove the mushrooms. i thought that i must have just not recieved the item so i contacted game loft and they gave me the vial, but it WILL NOT apply to my watering can and now that i have the vile I have a locked quest with flynn with no way to get it to unlock. I tried leveling every other character i was behind on thinking that it was because of one of them, but it wasnt and now all i have left is the new character/wishblossom to do and that quest. I have had this issue for weeks and hoped the update would trigger it but it did not and i am getting very sad because i cannot finish storybook vale and unlock aurora and maleficent. I am seeing that a certain quest should have been done BEFORE i did the knights table, but i havent finished knights of the round table because its locked. Anyone have any advice or something to try to trigger it? I think the quest is called "the fallen fortress"that i need to trigger

We never have times on when anything leaves the shops. Reset happens on Wednesday so if this is something in the main part of your store, then it will leave then - but it might go to your recommended. If it's part of the moonstone shop, then probably not until the next update? But that's not a given. If it's a seasonal bundle or something, unknown.

You can move things around wherever you want, although I would suggest NOT moving them to floating islands or DLC until you are done with questing with them. Even then some can cause issues later on (looking at you, Cheshire Cat!)

I already did that. I interacted with the perfume. Shrank and landed on the table but it was all pink and cloudy. Restarted my game and ended up back at my house. When I went back to Alice’s world, the quest told me to “take a photo of the queens table”. Because I had already shrank, it completed that part of the quest so I can’t move forward till I take a photo which I can’t do.

Moving an existing save to a new platform that doesn't have a save already:

1. On main platform (the platform that has the save you want), open DDV to the title screen. Click "Cloud" and either create an account if you haven't or make sure it's logged in if you have. Do not log in to an existing Gameloft account that has a different save attached to it.

2. Load the game. Go to settings, help, and click on "sync to cloud" - make sure it says save was successful, then exit the game.

3. On secondary platform (where you want your save to be moved), open DDV to the title screen and click "cloud" and enter your gameloft account information and log in.

4. You will see a popup that shows you the cloud save it pulled from your account, with your player name, experience, days played, etc. and you want to hit accept. That's it!

5. It's important to remember to always manually sync to the cloud before closing the game, that way your cloud save will always be up to date and ready to play on all your platforms. If you don't do this, you can lose progress by opening an older save. As long as you always sync it, you'll be fine.

IMPORTANT!
Unlink is NOT a logout button. You cannot willy nilly swap between accounts/saves on the same profile. Do not click it except for very special circumstances where you are told you will have to unlink.

It doesn't work that way, that's why there is not a logout button, there is an unlink button, which does not function the same. You cannot freely switch between different accounts, it is one save per account per platform. You will have to contact support and explain everything that happened, and give them the player ID associated with your original save file you are wanting back.

On your switch, go to settings in the title screen and look at the player ID. Compare that to the player ID on your main platform. It should match.

Then your switch already had a save file associated to it before you tried to move yours over, so all you are doing is attaching the switch save to your cloud account, which has the possibility of replacing your main save so you need to unlink it. You have to either use a different switch profile that does not have DDV save associated with it, or contact support and ask them to remove the save associate with your switch account so you can move your save over.

If you choose to use a different switch profile, you need to make sure you unlink the current switch save, then go back to main platform and upload the cloud save again before trying on a new switch account.

Happens a lot. Sometimes it just glitches, sometimes you move too much at once or were in build mode too long. Sometimes it didn't even really move back it just looks like it did. In all cases, reload the game.

Okay, you may have left off at a bad time on some of them, and might find that it clears once you complete more of their quests. There are a couple that cause fog if I remember, like one for Cruella, and I think there was also one for snow white

I was able to figure this out this morning while trying to do anything I could. I hardly ever actually USE the fencing, so I had them marked as “hidden” within my furniture inventory. If I removed that tag, they now show in my crafting list. So seems like when they copied the code for the new sorting process/filters they also copied the hidden tags in your furniture to also be hidden in crafting - which was very unexpected. I feel like those should definitely be separate.

You lose it, but you can cook souffles in the realm and drop them on the floor before you leave, and they will stay there, then you can fast travel to the realm from the fast travel menu in the map and eat the souffles when you need energy and drop them again, as an easy free way to keep your energy bar gold early on

There's no quest for the Beach section. The Meadow one is just there to act as a tutorial. (I did them simultaneously and nothing broke.)

Try going to a Floating Island, opening the map, closing the fast travel menu, and using the character list to enable him and no one else; if he's not scheduled to eat or shop, he should appear

If he doesn't and he isn't in a restaurant or Scrooge, check the list of quests from other people on his wiki page; some quests hold characters hostage in locations so they disappear. (I know Sally's level 10, for instance, keeps him in the Cursed Cave.) Scrooges Store is just a luck of the draw. Sometimes new items sometimes repeats. I think opening Realms can make items appear in the store but that’s about it. Some ppl wait months on 1 item

Have you decorated Sundae shores and possibly placed something on top of where it's supposed to spawn? I'm not 100% sure but I think it may sparkle, if it does, you could try changing the in game timer slider to set it to make it dark and then have a look around in furniture mode. Other then that, I would untrack the quest, fully close my game down, reload the game, and then once back on re-track the quest and have another look around. These are a few of the things I would try, others may know of issues with the quest or other workarounds.

I can’t give Remy goofy’s bag of seeds he just says he’s waiting on them and I have them in my inventory and restarting doesn’t seem to help and I tried giving them to him in wish blossom ranch but he won’t come to wish blossom ranch so i literally can’t do the quest

Him not being in Wishblossom Ranch is the issue, he needs to be where the quest takes place. Check what other quests you are on that may be keeping him from coming to wishblossom

i am confused on how playing between a computer and if I was to play the game on my nintendo switch, i understand the moonstones brought on pc will not be useable on the switch. what i am curious about is all the outfits and pets and items i brought will i be able to use them on the switch?

You are supposed to be able to interact with the perfume bottle on the table to shrink again, if you don't see a prompt coming up, try running all around the table spamming the interact button

You need to make a different switch profile for the new Xbox save, that's the easiest way.

You have to create a new Gameloft account for the Xbox save as well

You can have up to 8 player profiles on Switch, all sharing one copy of DDV but each with their own valley, Same on Xbox console only you can have at least 10 player profiles on it sharing the same copy.

You have to use a profile that has never made a save before, and you have to use a Gameloft account not attached to the other save you have on switch. The Xbox save must have its own original Gameloft account

Like, 10 holes? That's really going to depend on how many gardeners you have, and then your RNG. Early on mine didn't always throw them, but now they do like 99% of the time.

so kinda important question i have played ddlv for a while but never played with people or knew poeple irl who played and just found out somone i know plays and they are pretty new and i was helping her out by giving her some items to help her leval up and unlock some stuff but when i was dropping this to her i got a message kinda like a warning because i was dropping stuff i googled to make sure i didnt break any rules or anything but is it not aloud to give items to people you know when i google it said it was just a percaution for like hacking and stuff. becuase if it is againt the rules i wont do it again but i genually didnt know

As long as the items were obtained through normal gameplay it is not against the rules, the game warns when you drop extremely large quantities of an item but I have only seen that a time or two in several years of valley visits.
