You need to dig all the sparkly mounds, iirr it's near the outside corner of the meadow and can be under decorations, may have to relaunch after moving stuff.

So I know that moving villager homes to a floating island mid quest can glitch the quest. Can one potential work around be to look up quests in the wiki to see who’s involved, then move all their houses to my main valley before I start them, and the return them to the floating island after I finish the quest?

Yup! It's not even mid-quest that causes an issue - if it's up there and a quest starts that spawns something, it's an issue.

But yes! You can totally look people up, see whose quests they are involved in, and then make sure they're on the valley floor somewhere before you start the quests

It literally depends - if it's something that unlocks and spawns an item when it starts, then that is the start. Otherwise, it will be when you actually start on the quest. But if that item spawns the second the quest unlocks, then that's the start. Most of the quests require you to go talk to people to start them, but some are like "oh no, there's trash in the house, go talk to them" and that trash spawn is what started it.

Hi! I'm thinking about building a kind of main street / small town area. I'm wondering how things work with woods, berries, etc. Do I need to keep trees? And what happens with spawning if I build brick roads everywhere?

If you build a path everywhere things will spawn on the side. Trees have to be in the biome if you want wood to spawn. It doesn’t matter which type. You can’t delete the fruit trees but you can move them around the whole valley if you want too. What it looks like when you have a path everywhere:

Maybe try talking to them and asking them to hang out, or try going into photo mode and pose them. If those don’t work you will probably just have to close the game and reopen it.

They'll spawn somewhere. They don't just return, but it's not like they're gone gone - flowers spawn to a max, so they will spawn again somewhere.

Again, it depends on the quest and what the issue is. A lot of this is going to be case by case. Sometimes the items spawn elsewhere in the valley, sometimes they don't. It's why we recommend not putting houses on islands at all until you are done questing.

This is true. But most of the time, once you are done with a characters quest line, things don't spawn in/around their homes for other quest lines. Most of the time. There's never guarantees

The weekly ones are event related and different. As Effie points out, you're never really "done" because every update brings new ones. But once a characters quest line is finished, it should be okay. There are never any guarantees, but that's all we can give you as a guideline really

It sounds like moving houses to a floating island might not be the best way to make sure I can access all item spawns. Does anyone have any tips for how to prevent flowers into spawning in between houses? I always make sure to play some side-by-side with no gaps, but I guess the buildings are so irregularly shaped that sometimes there’s still nooks and crannies.

I shove small bushes or rocks. Or you can place the flowers specifically where you want them, since they have a max number they will spawn. Mine are all either used as decoration around the houses or they're in a central flower garden

The TRUE answer for quest spawns if you want to move houses to a floating island: maintain a backup save.

Can roll back the save if you have a house on an island that items should spawn around.

Hi all. Out of curiosity is anybody else having issues finding green chests? Or have they changed the spawn rate?

I login everyday for about an hour. I tend to do a green chest Hunt every 4 days as having all expansions it's annoying looking everyday for it 😂

For a few months I seem to get max 2 every 4 days. None are hidden, I don't decorate as I'm on the switch. I swear it used to be a 1x blue and 1x green each day?

It should be do you have expansions by any chance? If so the green chest can spawn on expansion maps as well while blue is exclusive to the valley only

Oh missed the you, but yeah should be so if you aren’t finding the 3 cause it caps at 3 of each in the entire maps, so you may have one stuck in a corner somewhere on one of the maps would say taking a minute and closely check . with furniture mode as ma be just clipped into the edge of grass or something making it hard to notice at a glance and may need deeper looking

All I can think of is to completly clear your beach of all spawnables if any thorns, rocks, shells or fruit are left to try and reset spawns, uninstalling and reinstalling the game might be a good idea, it won't affect progress unless you tell it to erase save data - it asks sometimes so say no if it does, you can also try fully powering off the console and unplugging it for 5min or longer to erase temps as a general housekeeping measure.

It's really REALLY dumb that they look identical. The festive ones should have a bow or be a different color or something - it's very easily confusing. You might consider putting the festive ones in realm storage where the game can't get to them for cooking - something like Mickey's secret room or the Wall-E realm are the easiest.

You have to do all their early quests first as wellso their 2 4 7 before you can do the 10 as most of them are story lines so gotta do the earlier quest to continue the story, and looking in your quest tab you can see any requirements for their quests if you haven’t unlocked it yet

Don't...don't do that. If you already have a ticket in, putting in a second one just closes the first and moves you to the back of the queue. You're shooting yourself in the foot doing that. You have to be patient - it can take a week or so, sometimes more, to get a response.

Valentine's didn't have one either. It had a regular event and a star path. Events are usually around holidays and the like, only around a few weeks. Star paths go from update to update, the whole time, and are the ones where you do the duties and earn tokens and buy rewards. Little events are free, the star path is the one that costs moonstones (although there is a free tier, but a lot of your rewards are locked behind the premium tiers).

The star path was holiday themed, as most of them are when they fall around holidays (the winter one is always winter/christmas themed, the fall one is always halloween/spooky themed, for example)

Yes. Pink are on bushes, blue on the ground, purple in specific realms (the ones that have them changed from last year), and the green from purpleish ripples on the beach. Then you make the seeds to grow the yellow.

yep, as Effie said there a rare spawn, the green and the yellow birds are the rarest. I have 12 traps, all at max level, in each of the biomes and only get one or two with each sweep of the traps. White snippets the way to go if your desperate for the green one's.

There wasn’t a fix needed since it wasn’t a bug, they changed it to prioritize an item you have more of that fits the category, because the holiday fish are fish they can still be used,

Nothing to do with quests. Open your map, see the tab on the left? Open it. Choose the character you want to disable/enable. Go on/out of a building to make it take effect

Most likely the 22k are earned moonstones that transfer between platforms and the extra 1.3k on Switch are purchased ones that can only be spent there.

You can if you want to level them up faster you just have to craft the talent book to switch their talent

So sorry. It works for me every time. You have to make sure you’re complete rehoming the home. Not just moving it to a new biome. Hopefully you get him to spawn in some way tho 🫶🏻 good luck

i have storybook and wishblossom and i’ve restarted my xbox, logged out of my account and logged back in and i meet all the requirements in-game and still cannot access the dlc.

She should have gotten a letter in the mail telling her what she needs to do - but that letter is actually missing something. She needs to welcome Remy to the Valley and get his restaurant opened up. I think the name of the quest is A Restaurant Makeover.

To open the Wishblossom Ranch expansion you need to complete the following main valley story quests:

"The Dream Castle" and "Friendship is Everything" for Merlin

"Making Cents of Things" and "Scrooge McDuck's Grand Re-Opening" for Scrooge

"Fishing Expedition" for Goofy

You also need to open the Ratatouille realm in the Dream Castle, complete "A Big Night at the Restaurant" to bring Remy to the valley, then complete "A Restaurant Makeover".

Check the mailbox outside your players house for the ticket to Wishblossom Ranch.

That's really odd as I think you should have at least 3mails and the Merlin quest "The Port of Many Worlds" should have popped up, try uninstalling the game and reinstall, make sure both expansions are checked to reinstall and hopefully it will register corectly this time, I've only seen it show installed but not available in-game on the Xbox PC app before.

Furniture, yes. Clothing, no. Walls/floors, no. You don't need more than one of clothing, walls, and floors, only furniture.

The catalog for furniture shows you items you own so you can purchase more of them. The clothing there is just some basic items for you to get started with, so you're not stuck in the intro clothing. 🙂

The only thing I know to control spices is to use paving. I've got my Plaza fully paved and have the odd spice/flower spawned into the small spaces on the edge of the Plaza that can't be paved. So guessing you could pave a large part of the biome and leave a space for the spices to spawn into, once at max spawn for the spice you could then remove the paving, leaving the spices alone. So sort of controlling them where you want them to spawn.

So I recently managed to get rid of the stuck red dot. I purchased everything I didn't own and removed a ton of stuff I placed right upon receiving them. So far so good. But in the recent star path or one of the updates in the last 2 months or so there must have been something that re-triggered it. It's from the valley. It's often something from the star path, or something you "tried on" from the premium store. It's just a visual glitch.

If you have everyone and everything unlocked, it goes faster. But again, it really really just depends on the time that you, personally, have to sit and just speed run it.

Oh you're fine! You're learning. I was meaning in general - potions indeed do NOT work outside of the white ripples, you are correct! You said can't cast blindly and I was like yes you can.... the potion has no effect, but you still can! It sounds to me like the user just isn't catching any fish at all in general, which might just be an incorrect casting thing.

But you're learning in here! How else can you learn but by watching? I got my start in here FOREVER ago by watching Mandi and some of the others, and we all make our fair share of mistakes. What's important is that you take that info in, you take correction well (love that!!), and then you do better the next time!

To be safer yet, if she's using the same device, give her her own profile on your computer. Otherwise she needs to have her own login to steam, and you can do something like family share, so that she has access to the game while you are not playing it, and your saves don't overwrite each other.

chest aren't the only storage option there is fridges wardobes and a few other items as well that can be used, and also double check your furniture mode see if you have any storage items with this icon on it as that means you storaged a storage item with items stored

Houseskins you can place anywhere they fit, don't just have to use them to reskin your house, I just placed one in the main part of sundae shores. Another option is to return to the valley and then travel back to the shores, until it spawns in a better place.

You're welcome! That quest has always caused an issue like that. There's a few others that will have a similar thing - where the items are marked off but the quest won't work. It's very likely a similar thing - you had the items, so it marked them off, but then you used them and it didn't unmark them. Just gather the items again.

It's one wheat, one egg, the purple fruit, and peanuts. It's easiest to auto fill the recipes for quests so that it puts in the correct ingredients for you.

• The secret secret room, behind the bookshelf in Mickey's secret room in the Castle
• The lab room in the Vitalys Mines
• In a chest somewhere -- they don't count as "found" if they're not actually in your backpack

Generally runs a lot better on the Switch when it's fully stored on the Switch's internal memory. I had the game on my old switch until the screen failed and don't think it was on the internal memory (may have been a combination of both) but since loading my game onto a new switch and just on the internal memory with plenty of free space, it runs a whole lot better then it used too on the old switch.

@brisk cedar re: #1471108480931991552 message - check your hidden category just in case. Did your game crash when tramp gave you the flags? Only asking bc thats the only time quest items can "disappear" - they can be placed in areas that have nothing to do with the quest tho.

I want to open my valley and people can come take what they need but I am worried about being flagged and/or banned so I am looking for opinions - is it safe as long as I gathered items myself or does it still carry a risk?

As long as you got the items legitimately, it should be fine. We are all players here, so we can't guarantee anything, but as long as you aren't doing outrageous amounts that should trigger anything, it's fine. You also get a warning first so you'll know!

Yes, rain while you are not in the game waters the dry flowers, new ones appear at 5am so the closer to then you can start looking for them the more likely you are to find some.

Correct, I sometimes have several days in a row without rain as well as days where it seems to rain all day.

If you want to play it on other platforms, you'll have to buy it on those platforms at that time.

As for discounted prices - there are versions that contain certain DLCs all together, although I don't think any of them contain Rift at this point, it has to be purchased on its own. So there's bundles, and if you want it discounted, you'd have to watch for a sale

You don't put anything in the regular floor and you don't design anything for challenges. Everything goes on the wooden challenge platform and it's all stuff you get from Scrooge, friendships, chests, the premium shop - anywhere other than designing it. Designed items don't have tags.
