So I gave a cocoa to the deer rabbit in the Winter Floating Festival, and it spawned the memory orb into an unreachable location in the middle of some bushes and other decorations. Doesn't look like you can move objects in the event realm, so am I just screwed?

You cannot pick it up but you are not screwed either. There is still plenty of time to get 4 orbs, plus regular critters have been giving the event orbs periodically.

Yup, you can just feed it again tomorrow - try to make sure it's in an open space - or go feed regular critters and see if you get lucky. We had people complete the puzzle the first day that way

Probably not, it's hard to permanently mess up the game. If you've actually welcomed them both as friends, or if you've already done the quest where you dress up like a candle, then it's just an extra and you can ignore it.

If flowers are appearing in your inventory without your character stopping, bending down, and picking them, it'll be a pet grabbing them. Sunbirds do that, and bees I think, and a couple other special ones.
In your Wardrobe, go to Companions, and at the top will be Settings. You can click that and change what they pick up. "In bag" is useful if you want them to gather things but only what you're holding onto. "Nothing" stops them from picking things up entirely.

Various realms have storage boxes (you can put them in there ) or drop them on the ground.

the same with mickey's secret room (level 10 friendship) he has a few storage boxes. Though i wouldn't recommend dropping stuff on the ground in there because you will have to return to there for a couple of friendship quests for other villagers.

To answer your question while the site gets some tech support, geese love the Redcurrants and eat other berries, skunks love the Pincushion Peaches and the Button Mushrooms, and the bees love Honey Coral and will eat any flower

Question about bringing data from one Steam account to another in regards to saved games. I have the game purchased on both accounts (the orig is a friend's account that he let me use bc he doesn't play the game until I purchased it on my own). I have tried to apply my cloud save account to the orig save as I've played all the way through it and want to keep all my stuff, but it keeps throwing me an error. Is that because I already started the second cloud save on a just started game? I don't want to lose any of the purchases or event gains I made, but I'm not sure how to keep both.

Finally started the game after getting it in the mail the other day! Because I’m me, I’ve been clearing the land of rocks and thorns before doing any storyline quests. Is that ok? Or will the game expect me to collect a massive number of them moving forward and expect me to start from 0? (Ie. Am I gonna get a quest later where I have to clear many thorns and rocks and the quest will start me counting at 0 even though I’ve cleared so much prior)

You cant merge save files, if that's the question.

You can't move a game from one player account to another on the same platform without asking support for help, they can only do it by deleting any existing game on the second account so that may not be what you want either, what exactly are you trying to do?

Thorns and rocks respawn daily. There will be quests to clear those thorns including an intro quest. At most you're going to delay yourself a day.

However, you're going to want to curb this impulse. A lot of quests scatter things, make a mess, have debris, and if you clear them before you should, you'll break the quest and there is no fix.

I only just rebought DDLV and the expansions for my own account, and restarted playing before I thought to try to get the old one uploaded. I did the cloud save thing, but I guess that linked it to the new one and made the old one unable to do that same thing. Can I unlink the new one, I'm not that far into it, and get the old one back?
It's sounding like I need to contact Gameloft. I really just want all the gear and stuff I spent money on from the special events and such

!support If you have the User ID from the old game it will help them find it but they may be able to restore it with only the cloud save email and/or Steam account name, I'd try a manual ticket as it's generally faster when they need to ask questions, hopefully they can get it sorted for you, don't use the unlink button - it's for changing the email on the cloud save account and can really mess things up if not used correctly.

No, SD cards are generally much slower, that's why Switch 2 uses a new and faster type, DDV does not run well on external drives, always install it on the main internal drive if possible.

It's really a personal preference. Getting the Frosted Heights is necessary for continuing the main story, if you care about that (and will give you access to the resources there). And some characters will have friendship requests that require the Frosted Heights
But if you're not really bothered aout that and just want to meet new characters, there's nothing stopping you from opening Realms instead :)

They are the critters in the Glade of Trust. They'll eat anything you can catch fishing there (their favourite is lobsters from gold ripples)
To feed them, you have to play red-light-green-light. They'll lift their heads -- don't move, because if they see that they'll run away. Wait until they relax, then you can walk forward, and you'll have to stop before they lift their heads again

Yes, USB C is usually USB 3 or 4 but not always, we just recommend installing DDV on internal drives only as there are too many factors to consider with external ones and too many problems that can be caused by them.

I don't remember if you need to go back to the restaurant to talk to him or just talk to him where-ever
I would go back into Tiana's, and if it looks normal, then you can try talking to him in his house, or summoning him to a floating island. (I always had issues with Lumiere showing up in his house, so that was my normal process. -- go to a Floating Island, change the character list on the map to allow only him, and then he should spawn there.)

Well, the red dot is winning. I got rid of it from SBV and WBR. Just had main valley left. I followed the guidelines posted here and checked ceiling tiles category which didn’t change anything for me. Then the real work started. Thanks to the AMAZING DDLV wiki I eventually was able to start comparing my furniture collections with each category in their master furniture collections. I focused on items from quests but was not limited to them. Every time a new furniture unlocked when recrafting something I made note of it and restarted fingers crossed that the red dot of doom would be gone. Nope every time. I then got to the non-disney related mega category and I still need to recheck some of that but it’s sooooooo big. But still the red dot persists. Frustrated and defeated I decided to try crafting everything from the main valley I could in case that would do something. But no luck. I have a list of the quest items that triggered new furniture when crafted. I have finished the main valley and all DLC except WBR and all the dream bundles. I had, before WBR NO QUESTS of any kind available. Other than rechecking against the wiki I’m not sure what else to. If you want me to post the list so others can check against it I’m happy to do that so someone might benefit.

The problem with comparing the furniture you have to the wiki is that it does nothing to help with the red dot. The item causing the red dot will not be in your collection or in your furniture inventory, therefore will not show up to check against the wiki. It will be an item already placed somewhere that you cannot get more of.

I also had a list of most quest related items from all main valley quests so I knew what most items were placed during quests. Those are what I focused on. I have a list of items from main valley quests similar to those provided here for the DLCs if anyone isinterested (about 10ish) since there isn’t any list for the main valley per the posts here because there are too many quests. My next thought was to pick up every item I have to try to find the offender. I’m not a big decorator but I was trying to avoid such a brute force method. I appreciate all the help here because now I only have 2 red dots and not 4. Also, my 2 alts so far have none 🤞🤞

Hello! I'm stuck with the shovel mold not working! It's in my inventory and when I click it to try and use it there is no use option to apply to my shovel
I've untracked and tracked the quest, I've restarted the game, I've put the mold in storage and taken it back out all to no avail!

Update from yesterday. I have removed every item in my main valley except lamps and original landscaping in continued quest to remove my red dot of doom. I turned on thr furniture mode red dot ( had it off because I didn’t want red dots). It showed red dots on Decor and Rugs. But did not show any item with a red dot when I scrolled. So I reset all my rooms except the main one with my chests. But I removed any other furniture except my stove and crafting table. I restarted the game. And also my switch 2 and the red dot is still there. I need to double check a few places to make sure I didn’t miss something (unlikely). But now wondering about a main valley item in a DLC. I really don’t want to remove everything from everywhere when my red dot is only in the main valley. Thanks everyone for help and input.

You have to be in a team to make requests, as it's a DreamTeams feature. Your friend can drop off resources during a visit, including items that can be sold for large amounts of coins.

Coins are never going to be exchangeable. They can come give you seeds to plant or resources to sell but that's it. The point of dream teams is the team aspect. Make a team with your friend. Then as long as you have one item, you can make a request twice a day

It's probably intentionally designed that way so someone can't simply request all the items and skip over much of the gameplay. If you want to help someone with star coins, you can share pumpkins or whatever else you might use to earn money yourself.

I’ve found according to the animal companion section in game and numerous guides it’s not reliable. I’ve gotten the golden goose only in rain and at night never did it appear between 7-8am. red frogs primarily spawn in Teapot Falls, only occasionally in Statue's Shadow. Putting a lure trap in Teapot Falls is the best bet. They're sort of rare because their spawns overlap with the common green frogs and with the red demons.

Only the first correct feeding of the day will have a chance to spawn the memory orb, the orb will not respawn you just have to feed it one more day and make sure to double check you feed it the right drink as it does change depending on the day

I think characters aren't supposed to ask for things from the DLCs if one does not have that DLC. However, whether you have visited the DLC or not, by just owning it, they can request things from it.

it bothers me too, believe me. But I think the update was more about the problem of villagers requesting stuff from DLCs that the player does not own.

With the items from DLCs one does own, it's basically a randomized choice out of a pool of eligible stuff. Including the DLCs as soon as they get activated. I personally agree that those items should first be unlocked as possible gifts when one has had them in their collection already, but well :/

Yep. I have it purchased but have not physically traveled there. I restarted my game after this update and so far it’s been working as intended as none of the valley villagers asked for any other gifts and only began asking for things as I’ve traveled to the DLC. That’s why I thought it was weird. So I should probably report it so they’re aware of the bug because only the villagers in story book have been breaking this rule

I did recently finish Cinderella’s quest line before traveling to SBV and since all of my villagers in the valley were lvl 10 I’m now not sure if they began requesting these items once I finished the Cinderella quest line or when i physically traveled to SBV. I thought this might be important because the Cinderella quest did kick in me having the copper rocks in my valley from EI so I’m wondering if it can be related. Hi all, I seem stuck and unable to progress with unlocking Cinderella. It told me to place the magic pumpkin near the wishing well in the plaza, which I did. I then placed the decorations around it.

But now it says to interact with it, and the option simply isnt there. I've run around the pumpkin from all angles and the game doesn't give an option to interact. I can't seem to pick it up either. Am I missing something?

You have multiple problems interacting here.

• The sound issues are a known bug from the Cinderella update. Gameloft will fix this in an update.
• The "time of day" slider is broken for everyone. You can use the "reset to default" option to fix it. This will reset -all- of your Settings, so if you have changed anything like turning off Scramblecoin or changing the decoration controls, you'll have to turn them back on.
• You should be able to change your language on the Title screen settings. Do you mean that when you change it, it changes back?
• I don't know about not being able to interact with flowers, night thorns, etc. Hopefully someone has that answer.

Oh I know where it happened! After you put the red paint on my watering can I was painting the roses red and my butterfly guy was going behind and picking the roses after I watered them. I didn’t think anything of it.

Make sure you unequip any critters while doing quests as they can mess up other ones as well, hopefully it will be fixed by the next update if not sooner.

And you’re going from Xbox on pc to Xbox console? And what items are you missing exactly? And what did the ticket say when they closed it? As depending on wording support is customer service not the dev team so depending 99% of the time it will be forward to the dev team, support can get items generated if you ask for them specifically but if you don’t they take it as a bug report and forward it and if you make multiple tickets the just close the previous ticket

This last time it sent me a thing on not being able to get a first response from Daisy in the shop and said it had been added to known issues. I am missing the sign I made for beast, so cannot post it, the crystal I got in the forest for the evil stepmother, I grabbed the last music note in the castle and it didn’t give me credit for it, and I have taken multiple pictures in the castle with Joy and she still says to take a picture. I have unplugged the Xbox multiple times and started over, but so frustrated I may not move to an expansion pack when (if) I get done.

Your critter likely picked them up. Check for a 2x2 item in your bag. If thats the case, you'll have to wait until the devs fix it.

Hi, I'm working on the chocolate fountain maintenance mission for the winter event. The milk, fruit, and sugar in my inventory show the correct amounts, but the cocoa only shows what I collect. If you're able to leave your game running and you have foraging companions, you can afk standing in the area and your companions will do the work for you as long as they're set to collect. They can even duplicate what they pick up if they're level 4 or 5

Unfortunately thats not a thing. Moonstone refunds are extremely rare - in fact, I dont think Ive ever seen one, mainly because they cant relock the asset.

They respawn really fast, but they only have a maximum of 2 at a time in each biome, so you have to keep making circuits to pick it all up. A dog companion helps, if you have one, but they're all from the premium shop
And they can spawn in the very edges of furniture and foliage so they can be hard to see

Fishing them all out is good, yes, but the way you worded your response sounded like you were upset that that's all you caught while fishing. I have dreamlight on steam with all dlc but I also have xbox gamepass now currently both xbox and steam are currently connected to the same dreamlight island how would I go about separating them so I can play a different island on my xbox but keep my current island with the dlc on steam

You could ask support to delete the existing game from your Xbox Gamertag so you could start a new game, you would need to use a different email for it's cloud save account, alternatively, you could just create a new player profile on your Xbox for the new game and continue to play the other one on both platforms.

No, they just remove that User ID from the Xbox Gamertag so it will let you start a new game and setup a new cloud save account for it, the games User ID would still be tied to your Steam player profile.

This doesnt mean you lose your save. It just means you need to buy the game again. As long as the switch 1 still has the save, your game file exists. If you created a cloud save for it on the title screen, its double protected.

Having issues with the game crashing after startup on the Xbox PC version. Gets through all the logos, reaches the press start screen and then immediately crashes with no error handler. Any ideas?

Have tried reinstalling, verifying game files, updating windows and graphics drivers. Nothing seems to work

Windows 10 is no longer supported. If you are windows 11, disable any third party antivirus/malware scrubbers and try again. If it only crashes after you select your save some the issue may be a corrupt save.

Still crashing as soon as Cinderella does a curtsey. Same spot every time. Updated windows store and even tried with defender disabled. Still same thing

This is a brand new PC as well. Are there any runtime or redistributable packs I might be missing?

PC Clean Install

This doesn't mean uninstall/reinstall. (OPTIONAL) First make sure you sync to the cloud so it's up to date, by pressing sync in the game settings under help.

Then you need to make a backup save following this guide: #1295498853642010705 - after that, open windows file explorer and search 'this PC' for "dreamlight valley'" - delete ALL folder results EXCEPT the backup you just made, and your pictures folder in my pictures.

Then uninstall the game through your gaming client. Empty recycle bin. Reboot PC. Reinstall the game. Open the game and log in to your Gameloft account if not already and let it pull your cloud save.

Follow these instructions, but first uninstall the Xbox app and reinstall it new, making sure game services and everything is installed and updated.

the game itself doesn't have a modify button depending on what platform you are using such as steam, you would have to go through that platforms controller customization to try to disable touch pad usage

Can someone explain why I can't get past this? I'm doing the same thing as shown in videos and on walkthrough websites, but the game won't give it to me even though everything is in place! I have the knight's arm, the dragon's flame, they're in the right spot, but I can't get the shield to give to Pimprenelle... Why is that?

Has Anyone had the issue of setting a refresh rate but when going into the settings its found to be shifted to a lower one [I set mine to 240hz like my monitor and windows is set to] It is frustrating, its only windows ive had the issue with.... On Linux it stayed at 240hz

In the floating island Winter festival, I finished the rabbit puzzle but the orb is stuck between a flower stone wall and flower bush at the bridge - I cannot reach it

unfortunately you will have to try again tomorrow and feed it again as this memory cannot be accessed now. make sure the rabbit is in an area with a lot of space around to avoid it happening again

No, I don’t have all the pieces yet but the other two I do have are marked complete. The third one isn’t and that’s when the orb got stuck and I tried it again. It still isn’t marked complete

I had put a ticket in anyway but haven't got a reply from Gameloft as yet, however they have escalated it internally which I thought was interesting 🙂 Seems strange they wouldn't just reply and say it was 2pm UTC and we all move on if it is the case. I guess we'll see...

Yes i responded to say that the premium shop reset runs on EST timezone at 9am and always has been

I'm more than happy to believe whatever time I'm told as long as I can verify it as fact from a source. If I can't see it written anywhere then I'm not really sure why should I just believe it? Hence the ticket to Gameloft. I feel like the discussion is hostile. Is it really that impossible that there could be a mistake? Maybe there isn't but what's s wrong with me checking? sorry i wasn't aware my messages were coming across as hostile, i was just confused as i had already answered you on the topic, apologies that it was not my intention to make you feel uncomfortable. i can't comment on what other websites say online as they are unofficial sources and most of the time they don't get updated when game mechanics change. i can only answer from a player and moderator perspective that the premium shop reset time has never altered from 9am EST from when it began in February 2023. you are always more than welcome to check with Gameloft with any game questions you have and i wasn't trying to discourage you if it came across that way

so when the bot says "escalated internally" it just means that because they've taken a while and still haven't respond to your ticket, it's just being escalated up the queue so someone can respond to it sooner rather than later; the bot doesn't know the details of the ticket. it's probably still taking a while as they go through tickets from the holiday period but hopefully they'll get to it soon

A thought - does sydney have daylight savings time? UTC often becomes confusing to folks, because UTC doesnt change during daylight savings - your local time does.

So yeah that could be the source of confusion. It happens at 9am est* always - your local time will differ depending on if you're in standard time or daylight savings time.

Even more so if you're not in the Americas because, of course, we have to have longer daylight savings than everywhere else 🙄

Yah, we have daylight savings until April atm (clocks forward - except Qld) 🙁 so it's 1am reset. That's where the confusion came from because technically if the reset is 1 pm UTC (as all the places I could find at the time said - wiki has now been updated to 2pm) it should never be later than midnight in Sydney, it's +11 during daylight savings.

But when I think clocks change somewhere (I think Europe - I looked it up last week) mid march - It will change for us and become midnight again until April when we go back and become 11pm again

It'll change in the beginning of March. March 8th is when Montreal, where the reset is based, will move clocks forward again.

People think the reset is based in UTC but its not. Its specifically based in EST and is always at 9am. In the summer, thats UTC -4. In the winter, its UTC -5.

Eh i understand. I play another game where the updates finish closer to 10pm in the winter, which means i can hop on and check the shop, but in the summer its 11pm when im already asleep. I just log in when i wake up in those instances.
