There is no cap on dreamlight that I'm aware of, so no reason to store them instead of converting them if you intend to use them. But that would be up to you and how you want to play.

Yeah, which is why you might as well convert them as you get them besides saving some in case of quests. Dream shards are not a good way to get dreamlight, they are a bonus. The primary way to get dreamlight for unlocking stuff is through your duties. So again. It's up to you. If you want to do it, do it. But there's no real reason to do it other than your preference.

Characters can request any item in the game as a favorite item to give them, regardless of what you have personally unlocked. This also applies if you own the expansions - simply owning them means they can ask for items from them, whether or not you've started the expansion. Its just how the game is coded

Items don't generally actually disappear, they may have been showing inaccurately in the first place. Either way luckily those are extremely easy to replace.

The best piece of advice i can give is to remove any furniture in the Valley that could hide any Alien Toys. Any trees or rocks could obstruct your view so get rid of those too. They will be in one of the biomes outside

Do not place homes on floating islands until you are done with the character quests. Also, it may not recognize it if you put it up there as that is not part of the valley

Also, when you submit your snap, immediately go to the submission page, view your submission, and take a screenshot of that page. That way if you don't get the reward when you should, you can contact support with proof of successful submission

Revisit every spot in order, so you can make absolutely certain you're missing what you think you are. Make sure you turn music down and volume up, they make noise when you get close. Common places people find the last one is in storage, mermaid island, arborist room, other areas in the mine, the caves, Mickey's secret room, and Mickey's second secret room inside the secret room

Go to xbox. Load the game. Click "local save". Force save to the cloud again by going to settings > help > cloud save. Then completely exit out.

Come back to switch. Load game, select "cloud save" when prompted and it should be your newest save.

I had a the same issue, and my issue was I apparently hadn't viewed some of my new indoor only furniture. You might be able to go inside your house, go to the edit mode and click through the furniture to clear it. That's what worked for me.

Ok, I've had this red dot for my furniture for over a year. All new items are seen there's no item in the collections that has a red dot on them. it was just The Vale, but know the regular Dreamlight collection has it and i need to get rid of it. restarting my game isn't helping going through all the items in my collections isn't doing anything.

None of us bought ceiling stuff, ceiling textures were added with the update, given to all of us

Go into the house, open furniture mode, click on "ceiling texture" and see if that works.

If not, it's because you only have one of the item and it's placed and you need to pick it up. This is most often caused by unique quest items placed during completion of a quest and then not picked back up. Once you pick the item up, the dot will clear. Examples of such items would be Gaston's weight bench, the dreamlight day banner for Jack, the library bell, etc etc

Actually we found a new workaround for characters stuck in houses - disable them on the map, leave them disabled, then go into the house (come out and go in again if necessary), if they still don't show, disable everyone and repeat.

Snowballs are infinite - you dig them up. And wood spawns every 15 mins, and there's 8-12 of each kind per biome they spawn in. White wood spawns in 2 biomes, giving you 16-24 every 20 mins

You can catch shadow birds - they are available once you do the first quest of Act 2. You just gotta watch for them.

Make sure you have the game graphics set to full screen, not no borders or windowed, toggle "Vsync" to the other setting will usually get rid of tearing.

It's best to keep your devices on the home time zone when traveling if DDV is installed, it doesn't handle time changes very well, I'm surprised that yours are out of sync after switching from one to the other and back with both on the same time zone, if it's been like that for several weeks I'm afraid that the only fix will be to start your game over, you could try submitting a ticket and see if they come up with anything else.

Ah! For that one, don't check only in front of where scars house should be, also check in the grassy area outside the graveyard for a dig spot, if it's heavily decorated you may have to move some stuff

If you have a screenshot of the challenge when it was active showing that it said submission submitted, after Wednesday reset you can submit a ticket including that screenshot, and support can help. However, if you do not have a screenshot of the challenge page when the challenge was active showing that you correctly submitted, support cannot help as there will not be proof of submission.

There's a lot of things that are considered storage, including realm storage and open world storage. There's no easy way to find things like this in storage except to go item by item, even if you think you would never put anything there
