Opening the multiplayer portal has been working for people though. Go to the portal, generate a code, then close the connection. Then go to the Isle, and look for the swirling sand behind the waterfall

Is there some kind of problem with Dream Snaps that the support team can’t help with? I had emailed them a few times last year about why I was getting zero rewards for challenges I completed - about five of them. They said I hadn’t done them. Yes, that's what Unlink is for. If you play on multiple platforms, you need to open each and unlink on each, then on one of the platforms click create account and create a new gameloft account with you different email, then open the game and upload to cloud, then on each additional platform instead of create account, you just log in to the new account you created. Make sure you make note of your game ID in case anything goes wrong, and as an additional safety measure you can make a backup save with this guide. #1047579586361311233

Then you need to make a backup save following this guide: #1047579586361311233 - after that, open windows file explorer and search 'this PC' for "dreamlight valley'" - delete ALL folder results EXCEPT the backup you just made, and your pictures folder in my pictures.

Then uninstall the game through your gaming client. Empty recycle bin. Reboot PC. Reinstall the game. Open the game and log in to your Gameloft account if not already and let it pull your cloud save.

A clean install is the last resort, it's dangerous because there is no way to backup your save on Xbox so you are depending on the Gameloft cloud save, if it fails you end up restarting, the game is not inherently crashing on Xbox, I played on mine for about 3hrs this morning without a problem.

None of us work for GL, friend, so we don't know what they are and are not working on as a hotfix or when things will be fixed. Some things we have figured out - like where Tiana and Jafar are when you can't find them, the hourglass not working on Jafar, why the level 7 doesn't start (it's a bug but we know what causes it). But we don't have workarounds for everything, and some of that is truly game-breaking so I assume they're working on that.

That list is things that we have asked the lovely mods to flag to GL so that they're aware of them and CAN work on them.

No one is implying that its not frustrating. However, you'd be surprised how many folks DONT know that the official server run by the gaming company doesnt have the help channel actually staffed with their employees to assist. There are simply questions we cannot answer.

I gave the things we do have workarounds for to help people in the server when they encounter the issues - it's frustrating for us all, because we pretty much all encounter the things, it's just a matter of "did we find a way around it/do we know what's causing it here and can we help?" Her questions is absolutely relevant and understandable....that's why I answered it the way I did.

(if you played back before they changed Ursula's schedule, this used to happen with her - when she was sleeping, if you didn't have her house out, she disappeared for like 4 hours!) Once she appears, get her leveled up and get that restaurant down so she and Jafar (if you have access to him) don't do this. 🙂

so it is more like... you see the orb, you pick it up and it seems like it should bring you to a picture, but you just stand there, can't move, can't even close the game... so i just had to do alt-f4 like 3 times and i gave up

Yeah that's why you can't do it. Once a save has been created on a profile that's it. It's attached to that profile and it cannot be changed, even if deleted. You have to either ask support to remove the game id from your Xbox account, or, you can start a new player profile on the Xbox and open the game, go to cloud, log in, and then use that new Xbox account to play the switch save.

To move your progress from switch to Xbox, you have to create a new Xbox profile. When you make a new Xbox profile and open the game, you click on the cloud option, and log in to the gameloft account you use on switch. That will pull the switch save over to that new Xbox profile.

From what I understand you create designs for Daisy's challenge but you can't create a design that has the required lavish and familiar category. I was able to create a hat that was the same type as a lavish and familiar hat and I dyed it blue and added a motif, I also created a bed and added a blue design on it but daisy didn't like it even after I displayed it on the mannequins. What am I doing wrong?

The only thing I have ever seen have a chance to work at bringing back missing buildings is a clean install, but Xbox doesn't allow backup saves, so doing it on Xbox risks your entire save if anything goes wrong.

You are the only one I've seen with this issue, and historically, when bugs are rare, it takes them a realllllly long time to get fixed, if ever. It's possible the next patch could somehow fix it, but it's far from a guarantee. If support cannot offer you a solution, it's impossible to say if or when it would ever be fixed. You'd have to try the clean install. And if that didn't work you'd have to start your game over anyway to fix the issue.

Then you need to make a backup save following this guide: #1047579586361311233 - after that, open windows file explorer and search 'this PC' for "dreamlight valley'" - delete ALL folder results EXCEPT the backup you just made, and your pictures folder in my pictures.

Then uninstall the game through your gaming client. Empty recycle bin. Reboot PC. Reinstall the game. Open the game and log in to your Gameloft account if not already and let it pull your cloud save.

It gathers villagers for a photo is a same way as with quests. You don't get to choose what villagers, they'll run off right after the picture and you're only able to make the picture with that stage as a background. Or so it appears.
As I mentioned I haven't bought the stage myself so I haven't been able to experiment with it.

I did see a few people mention that the stage from the Ursula bundle works the same.

We might need more information. What exactly is the item called? "Sand waterfall" doesn't show up in the DDV Wiki. One of these thoughts might help:
-are you sure you scrolled all the way down, including the stuff that's grayed out because you don't yet have the ingredients?
-sometimes there are things you need to craft first before a certain item will appear as craftable. IIRC, the 2 ingot types from the DLC and Mechanical Parts are examples of this.

Switch only allows for 3000 instead of 6000, I'm not sure what happens if you transfer a game with over 3000 to the Switch.

I only play on switch. In general it's playable. I have a bit of lag when it's raining. I never played it on another platform though so I don't know how much smoother that goes and how annoying you'll find it when it goes less smoothly.

I heard some who basically only use the switch when they play away from home. Because it is worse on switch.
I personally love that I can take the switch everywhere with me, which makes the game more accessible to me.

Cut to now, I was able to afford a second-hand Switch Lite again and would like to continue where I left off with my Cloud Save. I know it still exists, because I tried PC Game Pass occasionally for a few months this year, I can still log into my cloud save on my computer and can access it. But I was wondering if it is possible to continue like this on the switch again? Because I keep reading from other players that the account is linked to the original Nintendo account that it was purchased with & that usually it will give an error if you try to move your cloud save to another switch... but obviously I can't access my original nintendo/switch account anymore. Does anyone know how to go about this? I've read about reaching out to Gameloft so they can unlink the cloud save but does that really work? Anyone have any experience with this?

If your Nintendo account was deleted fully I’m not sure if your save would still be tied to it. The best way is to contact gameloft and ask them to see if the Nintendo account is still tied to it for them to unlink it

Yes, so if you didn't spam her with flowers or gems to get her to Level 2 and hang out with her right away after welcoming her, she has the annoying habit of promptly disappearing for an hour or so before she will pop back up in the valley somewhere.

Usually cooking recipes don't need items to be out of storage, it shows as having none in the recipe. I emailed them directly before and this time it was through the chat on their site so not a ticket.

Ranks are a sliding scale so every challenge is different. It's not set up to be rank 450 will ALWAYS receive the same amount of moonstones, it's set up that rank 450 will receive x amount of moonstones based on the scores of other submissions and the volume of submissions, which varies week to week. The only ranks that are set values are of course the winners who place rank 1, 2, and 3, and the immediate ranks following are consistent as well. But for the lower ranks it very much depends on the average score plus how many people achieve it. To get 4k moonstones you have to be above the average, 2.5k is high average, 1.2k is in the low average, and everyone else is below average. Average is determined by the score the most players achieve in that week, which is fairly consistent in weeks we do outfits, but very inconsistent in weeks we do furniture. So, it is always possible that one week your score and rank will be in the high average, but hitting that same score and rank in the next challenge may put you in the low or below average.

If the blue potato is not in Ursula's house that means you already picked it up. It's somewhere in your storage, or else, you put it in the pool in the mines and forgot. I'd check the pool in the mines first.

I just moved to Mac in April and I had to sign in with my Apple ID then. I don't use the Arcade version.

Ok I did it I am confused it gave me the option to sign in with apple or the cloud save

I can't remember the specific steps, but the Apple ID was likely first. My save was moved from Steam and my old Windows machine.

The Mac version of the game and the Arcade version are two different versions. The progress does not transfer one to the other. Mac version allowed use of the Gameloft cloud save, Apple version doesn't. But you always have to sign in with your apple id on both.

The lack of reward doesn't have anything to do with anything going on right now. If you took a screenshot of your submission page, absolutely send a support ticket immediately. However, it's a cycle - the ones we made last week are voting this week and rewarding next week. You can always look in #1224020000562610369 to see what you can expect where.

Anyone else having issues with getting a Xbox elite series 2 controller to pair to the game wireless. It’s paired to my laptop correctly. It’s been configured and updated. The game acknowledges it once at the “press any button to start” menu and then after that nothing. It sees a controller connected but it ignore the input. My older model wireless controller works just fine.

Just a heads up for Steam Deck players.

If you've been encountering a bug where your touch screen & physical button inputs stop working at the main menu.

Here is a fix that worked for me. (I'm not sure if today's update fixed it or not)

1. Highlight the game and press 'A'.
2. Highlight the cogwheel 'Settings' icon and press 'A'.
3. Scroll down to properties and press 'A'.
4. Scroll down to Compatibility. If Proton Experimental is checked (enabled), then disable it.

Your game should now work.

Yea it seems psplus can't sync when the game or app is active so if you get this message from the Playstation again. I would choose whichever save is the latest and then make sure the game is closed and use the check sync status to sync it yourself just in case
