Hello im sorry to bother but whats the schedule for certain critters to come out?

The first picture is how many tasks I still have left that I haven't done. The following pictures are all the pages of rewards, showing everything purchased. As you can see, I have AT LEAST six tasks left that I have not done, and don't have to do in order to get the rewards, because I already got them. This is with the cheap token bundle purchased that contains 100 extra tokens for 800 moonstones, which you get those moonstones back if you do all the tasks. If you don't get extra token bundle, just claim all the NON moonstone rewards first, to make sure you get all the exclusive items, and it works out the same.

It is with the discounted token bundle. It doesn't matter how you buy it, either included with the more expensive path or separately for 800 with the less expensive path. Works out the same.

Yes, but we are talking specifically about having tasks that you can't do so completing the path is impossible. I was showing this user that even in that situation even though you may miss out on claiming some moonstones rewards you don't miss out on any items.

I think where the convo went wrong is everyone was telling them that you can claim all rewards without doing every task. Thats... fundamentally incorrect if you choose not to do the 3300 path, because "every reward" includes the moonstones.

The most important star path rewards to be worried about are the items you can't get anywhere else - they were discussing their friend spent moonstones to finish the path because there were tasks they couldn't do - it's cheaper in the end to not do that, and to just not claim the moonstones, and you can still get every reward. Every reward meaning every exclusive star path item, not all the bonus moonstones. When you are worried about being able to complete the path all that matters is the exclusive rewards, and any moonstones you can claim after is bonus.

It definitely depends on what you want the most! But you definitely don't have to do all the tasks to get all the exclusive items. And I guess if there's even less items you care about there's even less you have to do. 🤣

If you are super careful, I'm told that you can avoid purchasing the star path at all, I haven't personally managed to do that yet - always end up buying it by default while trying to turn in a task at some point.

Flowers start respawning in 15min or so, it takes 2hrs for all the flowers in a biome to respawn so only pick the ones you need and that is what will spawn back in.

Yes, it's a visual glitch. You aren't really losing moonstones, just the false glitch amount that wasn't the real amount from it showing it added twice instead of the once.

Pumpkins don't break your save, log out of Xbox and then log back in, make sure you are using the correct gamertag, if you are using Game pass, make sure it didn't expire.

Unfortunately, we don't have many tricks for PS4, make sure you have 10G or so of free space in the storage DDV is installed in, power off and unplug the console for at least 5min to fully clear temporary memories can also help but just have to wait for an update beyond that.

You need to dig on the beach for more, getting Maui will put you on the path to upgrading your pickaxe to break the blue coral and that also produces sand.

Flowers and such should spawn while the game is closed, make sure not to suspend or let your device go to sleep with DDV open, it needs to be fully exited between play sessions.

You can adjust daylight with the slider at the bottom of the graphics settings but you probably want to consider starting the game over once you have moved, it's not that hard to get back where you were and frankly a lot of fun with all the new villagers, many of whom you can get early in the game.

Do you have at least 10G of free space on the drive DDV is installed on? You could try a clean install if you set up a Gameloft cloud save but it's risky without your game also on another platform as a backup, Xbox has no way to make a backup.

A lot of folks - use the fast travel fix: travel to a well and back a few times until that monkey spawns in a different spot. They run a certain ways away, so if you're too close or pen them in, they'll glitch through the wall.

The problem is, it doesn't get updated and changes get made to the game, that are then not reflected in their guides. So things that were correct for you, can be incorrect now for current players. And also can seem correct when you are fully caught up in the game for an update, but actually aren't correct for those who were not caught up.

i've only played one other game (well, two) that had this many bugs and sudden gameplay changes. it's definitely more common nowadays than it was 15+ years ago. unfortunately no guides or reliable wikis existed for those and game progression itself could break, softlocking the game entirely. that was a nightmare. people had to rely on word of mouth to solve issues.

that's probably why i don't mind it very much here. it's so relieving to have a wiki that's 1. easy to read and 2. lists things where they can easily be accessed. and bless this server too, because yall are just amazing for volunteering to help.

If you've moved houses and stuff out of the way and there's no dig spots anywhere, that means you already found it and have put it in storage somewhere. When you put quest items in storage it will say you still need to find them until you put them into your bag.

Game time is your real time, so whatever day of the week it is for you....

If your day is off on the Xbox, then it will be according to what day correlates. You can also use your collections tab, see what critters are out, and when they are supposed to be out.

But really, you need to set your date/time to accurate

Well, the short answer is: no, you'll have to do the calculations.

The longer answer is: You'll have to use critter schedules and meal scheduled to figure out day and time and keep it in mind. But you need to set it to current now so that you don't get star paths and stuff messed up.

There are some underbrush items that you can never recover if you clear them from your map because they don't exist in the current menu.

The dark plants in the glade
The log in the forest of valor
The tiny bushes on Dazzle Beach

You can get more by using the new duplicate feature in furniture mode, but if you remove them they can't be refound. Not sure if this matters to you though. I cleared all rocks and other junk in my valley.

Yeah, you can always compare to the items in the furniture menu. I like the dark plants in the glade, I think the other ones are too bright for that biome. The log on the big rock is a lot bigger than the one you can't replace. I don't have any of the tiny bushes, but I like the bushes we have just fine as a replacement.

Sadly Playstation doesn't play nicely with other systems in many games and this includes DDLV. So you would have to start all over on STEAM.

Multiplayer does allow you to visit other compatible islands and yes to all the activities you asked about. By compatible it means that Playstation can visit other playstation islands but no other platforms. Other platforms can visit each other (PC/Xbox/ Switch) but not Playstation.

If it found and pulled the cloud save, you did it correctly, there has also been a problem with Steam not logging in correctly, logging out of Steam from within the launcher/store, then logging back in will fix that - you may have a combination of both problems.

If you had hidden files on it is possible you deleted it when you first did the search and delete. I just hope you did the backup of the correct file first, otherwise it's bad news if anything goes wrong.

Okay, so main thing right now to get your game working. Completely disabled all antivirus and malware blockers. Make sure both steam and DDV are installed on C drive and not an alternate drive. Reboot PC, double check that antivirus and malware blockers are still disabled. Open your steam client and logout of steam. Then log back in. Then try launching the game.

On the title screen, go to settings, and choose reset profile. You will lose your game progress, but it was only six hours, so it's fine. It should let you start a new game once you reset progress. If the error only happens when you press continue then there's something wrong with your save file.

@grim cloak re: #1255452219155681341 message - actually you CAN remove ToM from the display windows. You have to remove the clothing from the front 2 mannequins on the floor in daisy's shop. To do so, interact with the mannequin, select "put on outfit", select the outfit the mannequin is currently wearing TWICE (once to highlight, once to remove the highlight) and save. This will return the mannequin to the default outfit. Removing the clothes from the front 2 mannequins stops the boutique from counting as ToM.

On switch make sure if you have an SD card you have DDV installed on internal and not the SD. If it's on the SD, move everything to the SD possible, uninstall DDV, take the SD out, then reinstall DDV to internal while SD is removed.

Make sure there's plenty of free space on the internal, DDV runs much better with lots of room. Also make sure you completely shut down the switch regularly for at least five minutes, and never leave DDV suspended, always fully exit the game.

That must have been a very rare glitch indeed. I mean, fast traveling to realms is not a glitch but I never heard of it emptying your inventory. Which means it also didn't appear as fixed in the patch notes, but it could have been under "and more" that they always put. I would suggest putting something you don't care about in your inventory and checking. (if you do, let me know what happens!)

it stays friendly until you shut down the game or gain it as a critter in your collection. once you unlock it you can equip it as a companion in the wardrobe tab in your inventory. you have to feed a critter once a day to unlock it

Yeah, you can't do that. She has to use her own steam account, not yours. You can only have ONE game attached to your steam account, and trying to have two or let someone else play on your account often results in players losing their data, or even their whole game IDs and everything attached to them. The correct thing to do in that situation is let her use her own steam account and family share the game with her. But at this point, it's big trouble. Is your game ID completely different now on your steam deck? Is your save still there?

Mandini's Quick Cross-Prog Guide

1. On main platform, open DDV to the title screen. Click "Cloud" and either create an account if you haven't or make sure it's logged in if you have.

2. Load the game. Go to settings, help, and click on "sync to cloud" - make sure it says save was successful, then exit the game.

3. On second platform, open DDV to the title screen and click "cloud" and enter your gameloft account information and log in.

4. You will see a popup that shows you the cloud save it pulled from your account, with your player name, experience, days played, etc. and you want to hit accept. That's it!

5. It's important to remember to always manually sync to the cloud before closing the game, that way your cloud save will always be up to date and ready to play on all your platforms. If you don't do this, you can lose progress by opening an older save. As long as you always sync it, you'll be fine.

The sign is now gone and the quest keeps saying I have to have it in my inventory, but Scrooge took it and nothing happened besides the sign disappearing from my inventory. I am going on MONTH 7 of this, searching every nook and cranny of this game in hopes it’ll pop up but still nothing. I’ve submitted tickets and help requests that have been archived and not worked on. I don’t know what to do

Did you check all world storage as well? Walle realm, secret room in castle, monsters inc realm, dark castle, Gaston's camp, etc, plus all potion cabinets, fridges, wardrobes, etc. - also if you put away any player houses that had storage in them, the storage will still be in them but inaccessible until you place the house again, so make sure you didn't do that.

I’ve checked all of them… every cabinet, realm, drink cooler, refrigerator, chest etc.
Recently, I’ve been trying to find a running list of every single storage location, like ones in characters houses and realms so I can go through it but haven’t found anything on google just yet.
But I swear, I have him the sign, then the game froze and I closed it and that’s when the mystery of the missing condemned building sign began.

I've been stuck on Eve's A New Directive quest and have upgraded my hourglass twice now and i still haven't found the BnL Picnic Blanket. Been stuck on it since before the Human event. Any suggestions?

Here's a list of items that are used as storage - these and similar. Then you have the Wall-E realm, Mickey's Secret Room, a couple in BatB realm and MI, plus some out on EI

When you contacted support did you ask them directly to send you a replacement sign? That seems to work better than anything else when dealing with support. Just tell them yours glitched and be like please mail me the sign for this quest and give them the sign name and the quest name.

Sounds like you did a bug report and not a ticket, which is very different. Bug reports don't get responses.

what is the drop rate for shiny diamonds?

ive been on this last star path quest for over a week. i have yellow energy, potion on pickaxe, a mining buddy. i have even mined every rock in the valley & eternity isle just to come back to forgotten lands and get regular diamonds. i mainly play on PC and have tried on my switch.

Is it not possible to change Ariel's role? She's definitely level 10 but it won't let me gift her a training manual. 😭

Drop rate is lowered when the task is active. It's about one shiny every 100 diamonds.

You can change her role but not to fishing, and she has to be wearing her legs.

Ahhhh, that's it. I wanted her to be a fishing buddy. I guess it makes sense that the fish wouldn't want to help catch her own people.
