In order to disable the extra item limit you have to be below the normal item limit, which is 200 and 3000

It's only an issue if you want to turn off the extra item limit. Sorry i know it's confusing. But in settings because you have the extra item limit ON, it's warning you that you can't disable it because you are over the normal limit. If that makes sense!

If your game was created set to a different timezone than you are in now, you can't. The game stays on whatever timezone it was first loaded in.

No, time travel breaks the game. You cannot time travel on a device that has DDV installed unless you uninstall it first. The only way to fix it is if you made a backup save, which everyone should have just in case, or by waiting for real time to reach the date that was travelled to plus two days, or by starting your save over from the beginning.

I had my game get stuck on the Clean the Laugh Floor quest last night and wasn’t able to progress. It finally let me and I had both Mike and Sully in my village with their house. I made sure to save and cloud save after playing. Logging in now the next day and my game has reverted back to where the quests were stuck and Mike and sully aren’t moved in anymore. What can I do? Sounds like you might have the game installed to the SD. There's a known issue on switch where saves frequently revert if the game is not installed on internal.

Ok, once you get signed into the new Xbox account, just follow the guide and DDV should pull your cloud save into the new DDV install, I just setup a new test game last weekend starting on Switch, moving to Xbox and now also on Steam.

The email being different is not a problem, Gameloft only uses the Nintendo account player profile name, all the cosmetic items cross save, purchased moonstones stay on the platform that purchased them, earned ones transfer.

The cloud save registers the player ID of each platform when you log a game into the cloud save account, thats why there can only be one cloud save account per player profile on any platform.

Your first screen shot says your computer is not logged into a Microsoft account, if it's using a local account that could be the problem, you would need to link your login on that PC to your Microsoft account.

They blend in with the foliage, can be really hard to see. Easiest thing to do is make a level 2 vacuum and take it around the the tangled areas to collect them.

On Steam I can do that with family share, and Xbox console can share with all profiles on the console. But I am not sure if Xbox PC has any kind of family share system.

Each account on Xbox app needs it's own copy of the DLC and game unless you also have an Xbox console, you can carry the shared DLC from console over to PC.

You could still try the support ticket, attach the receipt for the DLC and explain that you are trying to use it on a "secondary" account with the Xbox PC app, then see what they say.

You need the receipt for the DLC, that's what they say should also work on secondary accounts, they gave me redeemable codes for my 2 secondary accounts that couldn't access the DLC, one could while another and the main account had purchased it on Dec 5th - yes, that's 5 accounts on my Xbox.

Do you have a quest for her? She may not appear until you have all the materials needed in your pack for her.

Save, exit and relaunch, should fix it, double check that everything is actually in your pack as well, sometimes the quest tracker doesn't notice if you used or dropped things.

Yeah real time traveling in ddv isnt recommended. You can offset the time of day in graphics in the in-game settings (doesnt change the npc schedules but does alter the graphics to reflect the time of day up to 12 hours before your current time of day or 12 hours after.)

TT can cause the game to break for good and the devs have stated they wont be prioritizing any fixes for issues that result from TT, as its not intended gameplay.

I've searched the server and I see a lot of older posts about having trouble finding the last Lion’s Claws for Scar's Breaking Bones quest.

I found the one near the mine, one right to the left before you get to the elephant graveyard, and 2 to the left as you enter the elephant graveyard but that last claw is not spawning. The game kind of broke when I dug up the last 2 and had to restart because I couldn't pick up anything.

For the last claw, I moved Scar's home to see if it spawned under it and nothing. I also checked around the camp. Do you know how long these take to spawn? I've been searching for 2 days now. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

Have not heard of any problems with that quest, make sure you didn't put anything on any of the spots and relaunch after moving objects, if you originally got the quest some time ago there is a good chance you already dug one up and stashed it in storage somewhere- they all spawn when the quest becomes available.

You cant use the filter to find a character, the filter is only for if you want that character to be in your valley or not. When they are greyed out it means they won’t show up in your valley unless they are in the store or restaurant

I assume Xbox app on PC is your platform, you need to check your Microsoft store library for all updates, then reset your router, reboot the PC once the router is back up and try again, if it still won't connect to Gameloft it's likely an MTU issue and one of these workarounds should get it working;

Prepare for a lot of fishing. I think mine took several hours. Get a fishing potion, which will turn the white rings into gold. You have to fish during a thunderstorm/rain, its the only time you can catch fugu. Having said that, be prepared to get more kingfish than fugu. This task takes a while and a lot of people have come here to vent their frustration. Also get a fishing buddy so you get extras and then if you want to sell them you make a nice profit.

I linked you the information. MTU isn't timing, it's Maximum Transmission Unit, which means the packet size of information that travels your network and back. There's an issue on Gameloft's end where packets larger than 1450 get rejected, resulting in inability to connect to online services.

No, because we can't go into game files or recommend that users time travel more or more specifically, as time travel at all is discouraged due to it breaking the game. The only fixes for time travel, and we have guides in place for, is to uninstall DDV before changing time, to make and use a backup save, and to wait until real time reaches the furthest point in time that was travelled to.

Well that's just incorrect as I personally have found a way to fix things. I do NOT recommend time travel, and nor do I recommend anyone go into game files. I will go to the ends of the earth to fix her game if necessary, it's the only thing she had going as her mother was sick and has now passed away due to cancer. I am going to continue finding a way to fix the game even if I have to pick apart every line fo code and it takes me a year. I have no problem keeping that discussion out of here. What i mentioned still stands, this new information can help others as well. Ultmately I can share my findings on reddit or somewhere that might be better to document such a case.

Hi this is unrelated to my other issues I had mentioned earlier, currently my steam account and my girlfriends switch account share the same userID, this was unintentional. I am afraid if I click on the reset user ID in settings it might also reset it for her on her switch. If your girlfriend ever used your steam account to play her game, that's why. You can't share. She would have had to have her own steam account instead of using yours to avoid the issue. Fixing it can be really tricky. I recommend logging into your own Gameloft account, manually deleting the save file, uninstalling the game, reinstall the game, put steam in offline mode, launch the game offline, create new game, save and exit, go online, launch game, check the ID. If it's still the same, you'll have to submit a ticket. But the easiest solution in that case would be to make a new steam account and use family share, and start a new game for yourself on the new steam account.

It shouldn't affect her game if you are logged into your own Gameloft account, but simply resetting profile usually doesn't result in a new player id, you have to go through all the hoops generally trying to get it to be different. I'd still make sure you have her game backed up just in case.

Hey yeah I’ve been having issues similar to this too. My wife was cloud saving in my Switch account. Yesterday she unlinked from my Switch and tried to log into her new Switch (she also created a new Switch account for herself). For some reason, she got reassigned a new user ID and has to start from scratch (no prompt to show the progress saved). 😓 It’s so frustrating how unclear the implications of Cloud Save are from the get go and now I’m wondering if the progress on my Macbook copy will transfer over to my Switch..

You need to contact support, they can sort it. It's because the unlink feature is broken. It's been broken since they removed logout and replaced it with unlink.

One being the unlink issue and all it entails, and the second issue being the huge amount of players that can't use cloud services at all if their network's MTU is over 1450. That's been an issue for almost a year at this point.

(not even mentioning if you move to a new timezone your game stays in your old one, making all the schedules messed up. That one has been an issue since early access launch. 😭😩)

Kingfish and shrimp share the blue bubbles, but kingfish only spawn at night after 6 pm. So it’s easier to catch shrimp during the day, 10am to 6 pm. But they should have a chance to spawn at any time.

The only other thing you could try is make a new switch player profile and create a new game, and GL account for it, and then log in to that account on Mac. It might not work because of how broken unlink is.

Hey guys ! I’ve been using purified night shards to level up characters but at some point today they stop working as well, they’re leveling up super slowly now. I’ve tried restarting the game and it’s still doing it. I used over 20 to level rapunzel up from 6-7 when before it would take like 9 at most for anyone else. Is this normal for the rift expansion characters? Because it’s giving me the same issue for valley characters now (I tried leveling up fairy godmother)

My own observations through my last several new games is that it takes more of a given unit for a new character level the more characters you have, I generally use flowers and pumpkins harvested/planted when fast leveling but even daily favorites and restaurant meals give smaller increases as the number of villagers increases.

I have not heard of problems with that one, lots of people have trouble with the one by the stairs to the beach because it can be hidden by bushes, I'd double check everything that can be storage, fridges wardrobes and cabinets, even the chests in Mickey's secret room and the fridges in Wall-e's realm, it's easy to stash and forget things in the rush of quests.

The first one takes multiple days to grow. The seed will never appear dry. Water it even if it’s raining and even if it looks wet, occasionally. Do not use an elixir except when specifically instructed to do so as that can permanently break the quest (not always, but often enough that you absolutely should not risk it).

1. they should be gone, but you indeed may have to keep going with FGM in order to get more Forgotten. They don't have a quest log spot because they aren't a "real" villager

2. if you've progressed with scar, he gives you a way to clear the bones. However, just like mushrooms/stumps/ice blocks, they respawn every day

Sorry friend, the doors do increase in cost as you go up floors it seems. Focus on your daily tasks for more Dreamlight. The bigger meta ones give more but they take considerably longer. You can "eat" dream shards - make them purified, then use them to give yourself Dreamlight in a pinch. I personally don't generally recommend that until you know you don't need them for quests, or at least hold at least a stack in reserve.

One that helped me a lot is disabling camera shakes, in settings, graphics, down at the bottom, another is in controls - lower the camera sensitivity.

I dealt with this after my accident & playing. You can lower the camera sensitivity so that it isn't so quick, but there isn't a way to turn off motion blur in the game unfortunately. But yeah, disabling the camera shakes and flashes helps too. You can also try to lower the graphics settings to see if that helps, I know some people have had that be helpful

I'd lower to 120 just to make sure your graphics card has no problem, you can get barely noticeable stutter by pushing the graphics too much and that can really give you headaches.

I think there is a mechanic where they do not spawn all at once. X number spawn, and as you pick them up, new ones spawn. Sometimes in houses you already checked. I could be wrong but that was my experience.

You can still proceed without this quest however at some point you will need peanuts for recipes.

Check for updates in the Windows store and reboot after they install, might want to restart your router as well, once everything is back up, click on your profile pic in Xbox app, choose "Support" and run the repair tool, if it still won't connect after that it's probably the MTU problem.

They do not. Characters do not have any set skill that they give more of. It's based on how many buddies of each type you have.

Not an official fix nor can i guarantee it'll work, but a reddit user had success with putting the nautilus and potion into a chest, doing something else for a while, taking them back out, going to a crafting bench, enter then exit the crafting option, and then the game provided the blue bubble. Could be worth a shot. If not, support ticket.

You should complete the quests "The Dark Castle", and "The Remembered" first. Then you'll find the orb in the castle.

Only the daily Dreamlight (or Mist if on EI) duties will count towards the Star path. If on console, you could try a 5 min unplugged power down to clear temporary memories.

Is my game skipping cutscenes? I am doing a quest with a purple colored villager about helping them with some poetry. There was a transition effect with a message saying “hold to skip” as if it were a cutscene. But then it just skips to the conversation after. There isn't really that many real cutscenes, such as helping with poetry isn't a real cutscene it is a small blank screen transition is all there is maybe half a dozen in the game of cutscenes most important being the olaf hug one

for the first 100 you buy it's discounted, so you can make the moonstones back, so then you can finish the rewards, unlock the last page to turn the rest of the tokens back into moonstones. So while not finishing that last task wouldn't fully get all your moonstones back, it could at least get you the item rewards and some of your moonstones back

Moving chez Remy doesn't bug it, the book will spawn in the original spot near the plaza center where chez Remy was. However, digging it up EARLY does bug the quest, and when people do that they have to start over.

whichever you want! That's one of the fun parts for this game, you can go at your own pace and there's really no wrong way to play. I focused on biomes first because I wanted to have all the crops and materials for crafting. And then I focused on quests.

so really it's just up to you, if you want more characters or if your story quests need certain areas/characters that could help you decide too!

No. It is a known "bug" that the riddles are too vague. Needs to be the stellar pink or blue one.

How do I keep my USB Switch Controller being able to be used for my game when I have to tab out for discord or looking up information on the game? Are you in Full Screen mode in your Graphcis Settings under Display Mode? Because this sounds like Full Screen behavior. I'd try no borders or windowed (can still full screen in windowed) and see if that helps.

Pixel shards spawn every 7 or so minutes in the biome the host is in when you visit someone in multiplayer, or they visit you.

Nope, you can place as many landscapes as your valley will hold and they're unlimited, you don't need to go get more. (I assume you're talking about the rocks, trees, shrubs?)
