you can get moonstones buy either buying them from the store on DDLV or you can complete dreamsnap challenges to win them as rewards. I am not too familiar with the apple arcade version so I am not sure if dreamsnaps is available from that version! Hope this helps

The Apple Arcade version has no access to anything requiring or using real money, including Star Paths, premium store, or buying Moonstones, as I understand.

It's actually super helpful, I have a bunch of them. It means you can access your most needed items easily from anywhere you place the chest. I have one next to every stall in every biome.

I use them when mining/digging/cleaning. Put my stuff in them so that I make sure I have enough room and can get it back to my house. I also keep my energy foods and critter foods in them!

It's okay! They are also really useful because most of us have a storage room, so you can dump stuff into the vintage chest then when it's full, open the vintage chest in the storage room and sort the items into where they go. There's lots of uses for them.

The quest isn't bugged. You shouldn't use elixirs on quest items, as it can cause it to be bugged. You do so at your own risk when you use them on quest items.

The photo will always be fine because switch doesn't capture the exact image on your monitor, it captures the image on the switch, which is being cast to your monitor.

If you have an extra HDMI cable, just to be safe I would shut down the switch completely, full power off, reset TV settings to factory, turn off the TV, change out the HDMI cable, use a different HDMI port on the TV, then after both have been off for three minutes power both back on and see what is going on.

So, it depends on what you want to do on the platform! If you JUST buy the game, you will still have your DLC characters from Switch, still have your hourglass and can use it in the valley, still have access to DLC items you have on storage. But you won't be able to GO to the Isle itself. You can only go to the Isle if the DLC is owned on the platform. For me personally, I only own the DLC on my main platform and only go to the Isle on that platform, but can do everything else on the alt platform.

I'm not quite sure I understand. If they're dark in color, water them, they're dried out. There is no "medicine" but flowers are used in crafting as well as quests or favorites of the day.

I bought the Founders Base Pack back in early access but had uninstalled the game until yesterday; I installed it again and the only thing I had in my mailbox was a "lost and found" item of a flower. Indications imply I should have had more items for having the Founder Pack, and it sounds like I should also have access to the DLC, but I've neither the Capybara among other objects nor do I have access to the quest to go see the DLC, but my game tells me I could view items for the DLC if I had any.

What's going on?

Founders Packs do not grant access to the DLC, the DLC is a separate purchase. We all had to buy it, no matter which Founder Edition we had. Furthermore, Founder's Packs were only available during Early Access, which ran from September 6th, 2022, to December 6th, 2023. In order to receive the founder's items you had to claim the mail in the game by December 5th. Also, to receive the Capy and cottage skin for free, you have to have been a Founder, and you only count as a founder if you claimed the mail before that date.

Okay so. I'd recommend checking ALL your storage carefully. It sounds like you may not have actually opened the crate, meaning it's in storage somewhere. You have the cloud which was not in the crate.

I've heard some say they can't find it some days. One way to be sure is if you have the DLC, take a vacuum around to each biome and use it to check if you missed one. If it shows up as collectible in the vacuum then you know it's around there somewhere.

Hello! I need help with a bug/glitch in my game. I'm on Olaf's quest, "The Great Blizzard" and I'm stuck on the part with the watering can. It's telling me to water the sparkling water in front of the pillar, but there's nothing there! I can see the water particles inside the cave with Olaf, but nothing at the pillar and I can not progress. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have a player setup this way, just got Gold on Steam, was already playing base game on Xbox game pass, can only travel to Eternity isle on Steam but works fine on Xbox (and Xbox app) otherwise, make sure you have cloud save setup and saved to on your existing game before starting on the new platform.

I have a problem with Steam, I just contacted Gameloft but they may take a long time to respond so I'm also asking the question here in case anyone has been through this or knows how to do it. I have been playing the game on my husband's Steam account but now I would like to play on mine, I have tried to put the same email in the cloud save section but it says that it is already linked to another account, so when I go to his account to unlinked it and I try again in mine it just lets me but start a new game, not load my game. Since you have access to the computer that has the save file, go to c, users, youruser, appdata, locallow, gameloft. Open that folder and you will see a steam folder. Open that folder and select all, then copy. Then paste it into the steam folder that has the new game you created, replacing all. If it's the same computer, there will be two steam folders, so the one with the save you want will be the one that shows a date older than the other one.

You will have to have show hidden files enabled to see the locallow folder

This 100% fixed my problem, thank you very much!! When changing the content of the folders, I opened the game again and it told me that there was a conflict between the save and the local game, I kept the local save (my usual game) and I only had to overwrite the save in the cloud again from inside the game, thank you very much, you have saved my life!

I'm making an extremely nerdy spreadsheet to automatically calculate the price of a recipe based on the ingredients you put in. (and maybe I'll move it to Google sheets if I actually finish it and make it pretty lol)

I, um, don’t know nearly as much as you about excel, but its value when I make it in my inventory is 2787. It’s the same when I sell it. @brittle sun has done a lot of pumpkin math, perhaps they can help.

Ya, that's the value I have when I make it as well. So it sounds like both our games produce the same number (which is half of the puzzle I guess).

The problem is that when I enter the cost of the pumpkins into the formula on that Wiki, the number comes out to 2789... so either my math skills suck, my formula-writing skills suck, or the formula on the Wiki is wrong (I think). That's more of what I'm wondering if anyone knows

Yes, it's the anti cheat mechanic. It activates when you try to open a blue chest on a different time than previously. It can happen even if the time difference is very slight, as in you opened the last blue chest on Switch and now you are opening one on PC and the time is different enough the game is like hey what are you trying to pull...

Sometimes doing a manual sync to cloud from Settings/Help will let you open one that gives you that warning.

so I got my first pixel shard today and I have a few questions about them. 1. can multiple spawn? 2. do they only spawn when someone is at your valley (or vice-versa) or can they also spawn once they leave and you still have your valley open? and 3. can they spawn in blocked off areas in biomes?

1. it depends on how long you play. They show up separately for each player in a multiplayer session every 7 minutes or so, at minimum. But always in the biome where the host is.
2. any that spawned for you during the multiplayer session but that you have not found will remain after the visitor has left, until you close the portal. However, no new pixels spawn if there are no visitors.
3. they can spawn kinda anywhere in the biome of the host, even behind buildings, but they won’t go into a different biome, such as a locked one.

Yes, host pixel shards despawn when the portal is closed, I've tested that one on all platforms I have, also a new visitor can see and pick up any of the hosts pixel shards that are out when they arrive so it's a good idea to take a quick run before letting in a new visitor when you have existing ones.

There seems to be some very slight inconsistencies (like, probably a very, very small rounding issue somewhere in the formula that I can't figure out) because no matter how I adjust the cost modifier, when I get it perfect for one ingredient (like Pumpkins in a recipe that calls for any veg), as soon as I swap it out to a different ingredient (like trade out Pumpkin for Okra in the exact same recipe), I'm consistently off by about 1-2 star coins.

And with that, I need a break lol. If any nerds care about this stuff and wants to tinker with the formula themselves feel free to DM me and I can attach my work-in-progress spreadsheet 😛 ... I am totally convinced the wiki is wrong now, just not sure how to correct it yet.

So I have to ask this, cause I'm curious if anyone knows. I'm working on redoing my storage rooms. My storage for dreamlight valley has been perfect. I was able to put every item I wanted on tables, INCLUDING vitalys crystals..
But when I start organizing for Eternity Isle, some items just don't go on a table. Jungle wood won't, when every other wood in the game does. Copper doesn't, when every other ore in the game does. Does anyone have an answer as to why this is? Is it a glitch? I don't understand why every other wood, and every other ore can go on a table, but those 2 items can't, and wondering if anyone's got an answer.

That's odd, that's the only time we ever see this happen, is when the timezone on the system was set differently when the game was first made. It can't change, so whatever timezone the device is set to when the game is created, it stays set to forever, no matter what. but for whatever reason, your game is an hour behind your real time. The lights should come on in about half an hour, when they do, you can catch the fish.

You can try rebooting your router, if you have two WiFi networks try connected the switch to the other one. If that doesn't work, you can try using your phone as a hotspot, with enhanced compatibility disabled, and connect your switch to the hotspot.

Even though you haven’t been there they will most likely still be spawning there unfortunately. You can have a maximum of 3 at a time if you log in everyday and don’t collect them so if you have 3 in the other isle, no more will spawn until you have collected them

Many quests require you to gather, craft or purchase new items, they will not accept them from existing stock.

Well, maybe I broke the game, but locally I have transferred my save from one account to another (one with the purchased dlc and another without the dlc) and in the account where I do not have the dlc I can still use the hourglass tool, I can play the coins board game and I have all my missions from the DLC, but I can't access Eternity Island.

Yes that is how it’s intended to work the isle can only be accessed on accounts and systems that bought the expansion but the tools and anything from the isle can be used still on any other platform as long as one account has been to the isle

Sounds like normal for Switch, other player accounts on Switch get the base game normally but if you purchased Gold edition they get also get it, setting up a new player profile was the correct way to start a second valley.

Sounds like me 18 months ago due to stroke, kinda kept the controller in place with my left and ran everything with my right on Xbox, adding keyboard and mouse when I moved DDV to PC actually made it easier to flit around with my right hand and at this point my left can hold the controller and move the left joystick most of the time - can even pull the trigger sometimes.🤣

In the account I used before (where my main game was) I tried to unlink my gameloft account, but the problem was that it didn't let me put the gameloft account back into the new steam account, that's why I couldn't play yesterday until I did the thing about changing folders. I still can't link my game with my gameloft account, I guess as people say here it's an unlink error

Ohhhhh I thought you were already logged in to the gameloft account and it just would not pull the file. The issue is most likely that you are also logged in somewhere else, my guess would be steam deck. You would have to unlink the gameloft account from there as well

The unlink function is not broken in that way - once people unlink they are able to log in to their Gameloft account. The broken part is that it doesn't pull the save data.

Yes, I did it yesterday, I unlinked my gameloft email on the PC and on the steam deck, but I think that the new steam account created an ID for me when entering the game and the ID does not match the one in my main game (the previous steam account) so it does not identify me as the same person, therefore the mooncoins were linked to the other account, although I am playing the same save the ID is different

Yes, you'll have to submit a ticket and let them know exactly what the issue is. You were playing on a different steam account, unlinked, but now can't link to your own steam account. They can get that sorted for you.

If you have a controller, you could possibly work out something more comfortable. You could remap the button pad to be movement keys, that way you could hold it in right hand and move with the buttons and use the right analog still for the camera. Change the buttons over to the direction pad, and you can hit those when needed

When they glitch into a wall it resets the game.

The teleportation glitch only happens when they’re in the narrow enclosed spaces. Fast travel to the valley and back to reset the spawn. You may have to do it more than once. Once they’re in the large open part of their biome, they will not teleport.

Can anyone help me? I am having trouble connecting online. I play on Mac Book Pro. I have tried restarting the app, restarting the laptop, deleting and redownloading the game, I have tried different wifi, restarting my wifi, I returned all game settings to default. Without online connection, i cannot do dreamsnaps, collect moonstones, etc.

It might be your mouse. This game doesn't play well with mice. Try disabling your mouse and using a controller and see if the issue persists. If it doesn't, you know it's the mouse. You can try going to your mouse manufacturer website and download the latest driver for it to see if that helps.

I keep getting incorrect biome matter under spawned items. Pictured is a tree stump with sand underneath it in the FoV, I’ve also had grass under dig spots on dazzle & frosted heights. Is this a known glitch or should I contact gameloft? Other gameplay isn’t impacted. Thanks!

You can report it in the bugs thread, it's been happening since the update, mainly when items spawn close to the line of a different biome. Like that spot there, where the beach is just below.

Myself, and 2 of my friends on switch experience a bug that freezes the game entirely and you have to close the game to fix it. This is every time we play with Merlin specifically.

You need to be level five, have the dream castle unlocked, do the haunting of dreamlight valley quest, then do the dreamsnaps tutorial. About fifteen minutes after completing the snaps tutorial you should get a quest that unlocks multiplayer.

Hello. Not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but what happens to a DreamSnap if it is not voted on? So if I backed out of voting and didn't vote on either DreamSnap, would that affect their score? Is the score just based on the Mandatory Tags and the number of votes the submission receives? There are many content creators that explain that high Tags are key to a better score. Is this accurate. Any guidance on this process would be greatly appreciated😊 . The DreamSnap challenges are so mysterious to me and I am trying to better understand them. I am trying to make it make sense for me, LOL.

You can use the toggle feature at the top of wardrobe of what’s included for DreamSnaps. You can also select All and then filter by a specific tag

Tags give points. Votes give points. If you back out of the screen without voting, no one gets the point because you did not vote.

Just have to try again tomorrow, usually that is a sign of opening them on different platforms that the time is slightly different on, even when both platforms are synced to Internet time, it should resolve itself although I've had one doing that for 3 months because I recovered a save and ended up with 2 blue chests in one day - the game considers that cheating.😎

Okay, you should get a haunting of dreamlight valley quest from Scrooge, next. Once you solve the mystery, you should get a dreamsnaps tutorial quest shortly after, then a quest to unlock multiplayer about fifteen minutes after finishing the tutorial.

There can be up to 3 blue chests in one day, if you logged in but didn't open one on 2 prior days the game is fine with those, it's the ones it doesn't think you should have that get the warning.

The vintage chest you start with or order from Scrooge’s has linked inventory between all copies. But crafted chests have separate inventories, as well as many (but not all) purchasable furniture with the Storage tag.

Place the signs near the dreamwell in each biome, that way you can double check easily that you placed them correctly by travelling to each biome well and seeing that the sign is there.

Issue: the spot where I fish out the memory is too far out from the land. I have no way of reaching it. I’m a hardcore gamer not a noob so believe me I tried 😂. I had hoped a patch would fix this but it didn’t.

Anyone else on a switch have your progress rolled back hours semi frequently. Manually cloud saving doesn’t prevent it. No time travel or anything like that.

Have never heard of that issue with that quest before, you could try placing water plants near the red circle to try and force it to spawn closer, in all 4 of my games it spawned in the same location that was no trouble to cast to. That’s a great idea! I’m going to try that now! It is very strange tbh and I think I caused it by moving all the houses around. I actually had put Ursula’s house in the water where the memory spawned so I think that may be the culprit. I tried moving it but didn’t do anything.
