You can get soil by digging around the valley. You can also craft soil from rich soil which you get when harvesting crops.

It has been a JOURNEY but they figured it out just now! They ultimately wound up doing it all on the back end. What it appears is they assigned temp game IDs to both of us and swapped his game ID to my profile and once I linked the cloud save it pulled everything in.

Okay so right now, there are LOTS of issues with unlinking accounts, and it's a BAD idea to do it if you want to continue to be able to play both of your saves on PC. The best thing to do is to make a second steam account, then share your copy of dreamlight valley with that account via family share. Then attach the second save to that account.

Hmmm they definitely should be there in the meadow. Flowers can spawn in tricky places including clipping into landscaping objects, so look carefully. They should spawn relatively quickly (~15min or so) if you only take the kind you need, but if you’ve been taking all colors then it can easily take a couple hours.

If you have the dlc, vacuums may also help.

It might but some standard console hints might also help, make sure DDV is installed on the primary and/or internal storage and that there is a good amount (1-3G) of free space on that drive, always fully exit the game - don't allow the console to just suspend or sleep with DDV open for quick start, fully power cycle your console occasionally to clear buffers and temporary memory space.

I do all that on my Xbox series X and Switch, more often for the power cycling on Switch but the Xbox needs it every so often as well, allowing the game to suspend on either causes all kinds of interesting problems but yours are generally caused by either slow storage or not enough free storage - DDV uses a large amount of temporary space to run in.

I got 83gb free storage. Alwaya close it. Never suspend. Idk it's only really started in the last update.

Im not sure if this is the right chat, but im trying to see if anyone else has had the issue of crafting an acient machine and it taking all your mist EXCEPT for the amount that it was suppose to use? I had 14000 something mist and I crafted a regular ancient cooker and its took all but 3500 of my mist.. I put in a ticket but im trying to see if this is an issue more people are having because this is not the first time this has happened to me, the first two times i chalked it up to me using the mist and not remembering, but this time I made sure to double check my mist points before!

Is your game updated to version 1.8.7.33, you can find the version at the top, left corner of the "Settings/Help" page? You can't use glitchy pixels at the timebending table so this should not be related to them and I've not heard of this problem before, made several ancient machines in one of my games today without problem.

It is running on the updated version, and im not sure what is going on with mine, its never taken all but what was needed before, but this past time it left only 3500 of my mist and rest just vanished. I grinded for hours to have enought to make enough ancient machines to place one of each in orginal map and then time rift map as well.

Have you exited and relaunched since this happened to see if it restored the mist? The game gets confused about things at times but a relaunch generally straightens it out.

If let's say I have my game in N.Switch, a handheld console, and I have my DDLV game, cloud save linked and so on. One day I lost my console, together with my whole DDLV game of cause. I got a new console, get back the game, however my cloud save are not able to login with the same email cause apparently I DID NOT logout from my 1st console. Is there anywhere we can unlink the email, unlink the cloud save if I already lost the original console and of cause no way to get the cloud save unlink.

I hope GL don't give us the answer like nothing we can do, restart the progress then 🙄 then I not sure the cloud save actually helping or harming.

Add on: I asked this because I have one User ID deleted, and I want to use back the same email (restart progress I don't care about the previous) and it said my email re linked already and I could not link it again.

If you have written down the Gameloft user ID, they seem to be able to solve such problems, in the case of your actual problem, if you change the password it should let you take back that email.

If any Xbox services are down the game can have problems, if that's not the case, we have workarounds, a VPN at the router is the easiest but using your phone as a hotspot often works well.

You will be able to access the new tool, new characters, new crafting mechanics, etc. on any device. However you will only be able to visit the new map on the console(s) where you purchased the dlc. This will prevent you from proceeding with quests, taming critters, decorating the new areas, etc. on the console where you do not purchase the dlc.

If you have it placed somewhere, you can't place it again unless you have multiple copies. You can check Scrooge's catalog to see what you have that you don't have extra copies of. You can also look at your collections tab to see what you have unlocked. If you can give a specific example, I can check the wiki to see what it's listed under.

That tends to happen when your mouse is acting up. Try using a controller and see if it stops, then you know it's the mouse.

You went to seats, filtered to purple, and nada? Then your only choice is to either way for scrooge to have something in your store, or go visit other valleys that have it in their stores and buy it that way.

Hello guys, my wife is playing the game, she has for quite some time by now on a laptop. To see the difference between laptop and desktop gaming, i let her play on my pc.. oh boy, now she always has to deal with a popup saying the cloud save is different from the one she has, i tried everything i could, but the save file she does after playing does not go to the cloud to erase the previous one, i'm out of ideas to deal with this..! Erm, that's actually my epic games store account, she wasn't logged in gameloft when the problem arose, i tried to log her in, but it didn't solve the issue.

Okay, there's some issues right now if you have games created before you try logging in your account, where when you DO log in your account the cloud save won't pull because of the existing game.

Just to be clear, the issue is that when you choose cloud save at the prompt, it doesn't have her correct save file? Like she's missing progress?

That's about right, let me rephrase maybe : she has been playing on laptop for some time now.
She tried 2 weeks ago to play on pc using the epic games store.
She went back to laptop after playing couple hours.
Since then, she has a conflict of saves. The cloud "remembers" the time she played on pc, while she has been playing on laptop ever since. I tried to disable epic games store cloud saving. Didn't solve the issue.
I tried using the "cloud saving" option in game, it still isn't solving the issue.
What can i do ? 😅

OH she needs to update her cloud save from the laptop. She needs to go to the settings page from inside the game, go to help section, and click on sync to cloud. That will make her cloud save current and she will not get the popup anymore unless she switches devices again or loses Internet during a session.

You will always get that popup though when you switch between devices, every time you switch. You always have to update your cloud save first before going to a different device.

You keep all stuff from the expansion, including your hourglass and the characters etc, but to actually GO to the island, you have to own the DLC on that platform.

Hi! Hopefully, this is the correct area to talk about this, I havent been in here in a few months.
So, I might buy DLV for my computer, and I'm wondering if cloud saving (cross save?) works properly, cause I remember a good while ago people were saying it'd break and completely wipe your save. Has this been fixed or anything? Do I just make a new acc? And my friend was telling me about that as well, so she even made just a new account when she got it for her computer.

It's fine, the problems right now with cloud saving come from logging out and back in on a different account. As long as you aren't on PlayStation currently, you can use your current gameloft account to log in on PC and play your same save, no problem, as long as you always sync to the cloud before changing devices so that your progress is always up to date.

There's a reason for it: They decorate with items that an unfriendly visitor might pick up and "steal". But that's why I only decorate with what I can afford to lose, and also if someone helps me out with resources, I err on the side of trusting them.

Yes, when you receive your rewards from dreamsnaps you get what’s called pixel dust as well which fills up this bar. When you earn a certain amount of pixel dust, it’s sort of the same as friendship rewards where you reach different milestones and earn rewards

I seem to be having a few issues. Firstly, I put Gaston's shipwreck in my inventory and now it seems to have disappeared completely and so I can't put it back down again. Also, I don't seem to be able to craft the sand fountain, even with the materials in my inventory. And there is also some mist that I popped out with my hourglass that has landed in a completely inaccessible place near Eve's house on the small island near the docks. Does anyone else have these issues? And if so, is there anything I can do to fix them?

Once you place the same skin as a second interesting things can happen like not recharging, not being able to change wallpaper, floors, add rooms or floors to your player house or pick up and move or remove the second - going to another skin on the player house fixes, just to be aware.😎

I hadn't planned to make them the same, but this is good info. So they can just change the second house skin and be okay, don't need to change main back to default?

Player = main, when you get the glitch, you can't remove the second, I say second to refer to any of the skins that can be placed as a standalone house.

And another oddity, sometimes you can place a skin that is already on your main house as a second but sometimes you must first remove it from the main, place the second then apply it to the main, you can use the same skin on both player houses if you have the DLC but only in one place or the other as a second - they work like villager houses in that it can only be in one place.

The teleport glitch only happens when the monkey is in a small enclosed area. Teleport to the valley and back to reset the spawn location. You may have to do it more than once. Once it’s in the open air part of the biome it will almost never teleport.

A little google tells me that a clean install seems to be helpful. If you can tell me what platform, maybe I can find the instructions for you. It's to do with corrupt or missing files, which is not something GL can fix.

Hey everyone. It seems my game's experienced two big glitches.

The first is that I crafted 1000 dreamlight and they didn't show up in my account. Just a moment prior I had crafted something else with dream shards so I'm not sure if that had something to do with it.

The bigger issue is that I can't proceed with unlocking Stitch. The Blue Fur I picked up at Goofy's never appeared in my inventory and now I'm not sure what to do. Donald says he still needs it and it's not at Goofy's anymore.

If she's okay with that one, then you need to go to settings, help, and pause there. You'll have to tab out and exit airplane mode, then tab in and hit sync to cloud as fast as possible. You want to try to sync to cloud before you can get an error message.

This is a MTU issue on Gameloft's end, but until they fix it, here are some optional workarounds.

ATTN: We can only provide you the base workarounds, we can't tell you exactly how to do them as we are not tech support or permitted to do more than give you options.

Option #1
VPN: Use a VPN to get around the issue. If on a console you have to install the VPN to your router.

Option #2
Change the MTU setting on your router to 1450. If 1450 doesn't work, do 1400.

Option #3
Play on Switch: Switch has a base MTU below 1450 allowing it to work when other devices won't.

Option #4 (PC ONLY)
Run command prompt as administrator then type in the following to find out the interface name and current MTU:
netsh interface ipv4>show subinterfaces
If the above command fails, instead remove the > and add a single space. Do the same for all following commands.

If your MTU is above 1450, run the following command and change the name in quotes to match your Ethernet or Wifi name (whichever connection you are using):
netsh interface ipv4>set interface "Ethernet" mtu=1450

This change will only work until you reboot your PC.
If the above command works for you, you can make the change persistent by running the following command:
netsh interface ipv4>set interface "Ethernet" mtu=1450 store=persistent

If it doesn't work or if your MTU is already set to 1450, try an MTU of 1400 instead.

I’m really struggling with the find Donald Duck quest where you have to get 2 emeralds I can only ever seem to find all the other quote common gems but never emeralds and aquamarine as well can never find them

Check your collections tab - are you mining in the right spaces?

Forest of Valor, specifically near the stairs, and just go back every 8 minutes until you get them.

The ones by the stairs are not specific. They can spawn in any of the mining nodes there and in the Glade.

Yeh tried in the Forrest but not u locked it all yet only got the first bit so can’t really venture far

Move your well to the locked side, then you can port over there. The items you get may bounce to the unlocked side but you can get them. If you have access to the mining potions, use those. And take a mining buddy

I’ve found the aquamarine but still no luck on the emeralds

Keep mining. Also check the Glade of trust, as emeralds are also found there.

Hi Friends! When it comes to companions and picking their jobs (Mining, Fishing, etc), do they passively do those things or do they just have a chance to give you extra when you are hanging out with them and you do that action? (I know about the % multiplier from having multiple companions doing a certain job)

you have to be hanging out with them to get extra drops while you do that thing.
so if belle is your mining buddy, she isn't going to go mine while you're doing other stuff.
but if you hang out with belle and go mining, she'll help
