But this is ok because the local save is still on my machine and in the next step I will be downloading that data? If I understand correctly?

Yes that's correct. That's why we turn off auto sync from the Nintendo cloud and have your save preserved in the Nintendo cloud, because we need to reset your broken cloud save on the DDV server so that your new profile will HOPEFULLY pull it.

I can see how this should work but it didn't 😭😭 My profile is still a brand new game with merlin standing in front of my house.

Right before I changed my GL pw the first time I got a cloud save conflict message that showed me the changes. I didn't get that prompt on my profile.

There seems to be some confusion over what it is I need help with. Let me try to be as clear as possible.

I started playing DDV on my boyfriend's switch profile. I have a Gameloft account connected to my save, and I have successfully saved my game to the gameloft cloud. The player ID is (put number here)

I love the game and want to continue to be able to play it on my OWN profile. I unlinked the account from my boyfriend's switch profile, and I logged in to the gameloft account, successfully, on my own profile.

However, on my own profile, the cloud save does not pull. It makes me create a brand new game with player id (number here) - I have tried multiple times to go back to my boyfriend's profile and log in to my GL account again, and reupload to the cloud. It always says successful. Yet when I unlink and log in to my own profile, the cloud save NEVER pulls.

To be clear, I want the game that is attached to player ID (number here) to be linked with MY switch profile, and I need the cloud save to actually pull to said profile.

You should be able to remove the pathing except the stuff that looks like pathing in ancients landing that is actually part of the environmental texture

The next group won’t spawn (or the next quest won’t generate) until after you find all of the aliens in a particular group. There’s a sound effect from them, so turn your other audio down and the sfx audio up and that might help. Good luck!

Has anyone figured out what ‘futureistic’ means in regards to furniture in the valley for the latest dream snap event? I’ve placed all the sci-fi furniture that is in the dreamsnaps suggestions but apparently none of them count as futuristic so now I am very confused. Not sure if it is a bug on my end. Try the futuristic filter, and remember only one copy of each item counts for dreamsnap requirements.

Certain things from the DLC will be available on the platform that doesn't own it, such as the characters, materials, the hourglass, etc. However to actually GO to the Isle, you have to own the DLC on the platform you are playing on.

Yes. You can also move their houses to the valley once you progress far enough.

There is no place for codes as they are new every time you open for multiplayer. Head to #spoiler-chat or #no-spoiler-chat (mind the pinned spoiler policy). Make friends. When you're ready to do MP, gain/give consent to DM and share codes privately. You can take others up on their offers or offer your own.

I'd also suggest talking about visiting rules whether visiting or inviting someone. Little things like hey just a heads up I like to decorate with food on my tables please don't take those. Etc.

Keep in mind that the pixel shards for all players spawn anywhere in the biome the host is in and they seem to love being just outside fences, I've done a lot of playing around with multiplayer - and you wondered why I had 5 games.🤓

I usually just try again when that happens, it generally connects on the second try without restarting either the game or device, I've had up to the max of 3 visitors on my Switch with no problem but you have to make sure that each one is fully in the valley before the next tries to connect.

There is nothing to fix, the only requirement is that your hourglass be level 3, then it's a matter of spending enough time looking for the odds to get you a level 3 core, they are very rare and I rarely get one in a full sweep of my original valley.

You have to level up in the discord to post photos! Make sure there aren't any updates available for the app, as well as for your device. Then try shutting down the device for three minutes and turning back on. Sign out of apple account and back in.

is 6-8 wood per 30min. If you collect it regularly you can yield enough for your storage box. And that's the only place you can get darkwood or you can ask if any other people have spare for you.

Eternity Isle has new wood. It spawns soft wood and hard wood in the first biome, and tropical wood in the Tangle.

Now daily I log in just to check on scrooges, collect sacred dark woods and buy off Kristoff's stall.

The daily is the favorite, the only character with a slightly improved is Ariel and Ursula with flowers due to them being sea locked characters, though gems flowers cooked food and purified shards seem to all good generic gifts to give from what people had tested from what I’ve seen

Xbox can cross progress with any other console/device except for Playstation. Im not sure about cloud save issues myself as im not very tech savvy . I also know with Apple arcade you cannot have cross progression

So I have one of these big rock things in the DLC that I can’t remove. Initially I thought it was because it was too close to a tree, so I moved the tree. The accessories shelf can appear empty before you bought it all because of RNG. if it pulls something you already own you get a sign in that spot. The window dresses empty fast because there aren't many that display there.

Most things are transferable. In fact the inside of your main house will be the same on both maps always. However there are exceptions. Notably the fish boat, greenhouse, garden, goofy stalls, and trees or bushes are not transferable.

There are 3 PC platforms or game stores, Steam, Epic and Xbox/Microsoft, they erach do things a bit different but there is no way any of them should have pulled your wife's game from Switch unless you used their Gameloft email and password.

First you need to see if your wife can get her valley back on Switch by putting it in airplane mode and opening the game, that will force it to use the local save, she can then put the Switch back online and save to cloud, then we can try to get your new game going.

Yes, that's what the cloud save is for - to transfer the game to another platform, you signed into the cloud save from a new platform and it transferred the game there.

That is because you did not follow the clean install directions so the C:Users/<username>/AppData/LocalLow/Gameloft/ Disney Dreamlight Valley folder was not deleted, that is where the user ID came from.

Windows explorer, search bar, type Dreamlight Valley, delete all folder results (except the one in my pictures if you have pics you wanna keep). Uninstall game through steam. Empty bin. Restart PC. Reinstall game. Put steam in offline mode. Launch game. Create new game. Get to point where you can save and exit. Do that. Put steam in online mode. Launch game to title screen. If prompted for cloud save choose local. Check user ID in settings. If new, go to cloud, create NEW gameloft account.

I have no idea of how the borrowed copy works, when I put the disc in my series X it installed an add-on to the existing DDV installation, the cozy extras and moonstones were added to all 3 of my then existing players accounts, I've added 2 players since then who also got the extras and the disk has been back in it's case since the first use.

You can use keyboard and mouse if you want but you already have the controller so just get a USB cable and use it, I've had no end of problems trying to get any controller to work wireless on PC.

They can be extremely tricky, but this is how they spawn. There is a sfx when you get near, so it might help to turn up the effects volume and turn off the voice and music volume

The timer for the next group/quest does not start until all aliens are found and, if relevant, the quest is turned in.

That's what it does when you are in the original valley or on a platform without the DLC when you try to place it, I place it right next to the players house on Eternity Isle, it can be picked up and moved after the quest is done.

Hey everyone! I’ve recently had issues with multiplayer and I wanted to see if anyone might know what’s causing it.

My friend and I are trying to exchange some items however they can’t visit my Valley and when I go to theirs, I can’t collect anything from the DLC.

I’m using PC (Xbox/Microsoft Store version) with DLC and so are they. We’ve both unlocked all the items.

It worked a couple weeks back, but now it just won’t. The only difference is I got the game on my Switch as well for portable play, without the DLC. But it’s entirely shutdown when I try to make the exchange.

I know the first part of the alien quests buzz gives you takes 3-4 days to find all 25. But I have seen videos of people doing it in one day. I cannot find any more of the aliens and I’m on day 3

This is how the quest chain is supposed to work. The timer for the next group or quest will not start until the previous one is complete. If a video appeared to show someone doing it all at once, that was either creative editing or time travel. Time travel can be permanently game breaking, do not do it.

Remove any critter houses or animated decorations, hats, fancy clothing, then fully exit DDV from the game card on the home screen, power off the console from the power menu and unplug it for 5mins to clear temp memory, this usually helps a lot on series S or older Xbox.

Yea there was a lot of fear at the release of multiplayer, that because it can only be bought once historically/in single player, that hosts who offer clothing to visitors would permanently miss out. But based on multiple tests it appears that the game pulls from the host’s collections to determine what can be available on the fashion side of the shop.

yeah, we knew that part - that's how it's determined always and the shop doesn't change based on who is in the valley. But I was not aware folks could buy clothes, because that led to the potential of duplicate clothing. So it's good to know there's been a little testing on that front, thank you!

That is because those items are available in Scrooge's Store normally. The only items you get when you restart that were given as gifts are the ones that are unique.

Also, you must have restarted ages ago because that glittering herring glitch has been fixed for a long time.

Yup, that's correct. There were two meals that needed to be created - the fish pie (that uses the herring) and then regular old arendellian pickled herring. But when you pu tin the syrup, wheat (you're sure it was wheat and not rice? those are often confused), and butter, it wouldn't let you use the herring?

(although honestly, if it refused to rain, you were better off restarting! One needs rain!)

I started playing this game when it was released. When the update came out for the lions claw, I had already paved my entire game so I could force spawn my flowers in certain spots. By doing so, I only got 4 lion claws. I gave up out of frustration and now over a year later I came back to see if they fixed the glitch and still no luck 😅 any advice?

!support You'll want to contact support. This is not a common issue - you paved over where a quest items was supposed to go - so there's nothing for them to "fix". A quest iem couldn't spawn. But we've been seeing support sending people quest items, so they may be able to assist.

So. The way the map works is for characters to go to their scheduled locations they need a loading screen to transition from inside to outside and outside to inside. They only get a loading screen when you give them one, such as by entering a building. This is why the map seems to "lie" a lot, because if you haven't had a loading screen in a while the map is not current.

I know you can have 3 markers on the board at a time, but I don't understand when you already have 3 on there and you don't want to switch 1 out. Are you sure you have been gathering softwood? The quest will only count the ones in your pack/pockets, try untracking the quest, save, exit and relaunch, then retrack the quest.

Its random what it gives you, if you already own the item that would be in the store today then it will show as empty . The accessories and clothing can only be purchased once so it will show empty. Hi I am lvl 40 and have finished end game in the Valley and only a couple of more things to do in Eternity Ise. The problem I have with my house, I have totally upgradded the outside and added 3 more rooms in F1. Also bought F2 Have purchased the rooms on the right and left but it wont let me buy the 3rd room in front saying I have to upgrade my house. Also bought F3 and this time I have the main room but cant buy the others again saying I need to upgrade my house. Now I cant buy any other floors. I Have tried expanding the rooms I have to the largest size but to no avail. is there something I am missing. Thanks

You have to pick them up while you are hosting or visiting, one appears in the biome the host is in every 5-8min, each player can only see and pick up their own shards and as soon as you leave or close the portal all that players shards that were not picked up disappear.

You don't need the proof, just report the issue itself. I know it asks for images but that's only if you have them. 69% of the bug reports don't have images, it's fine

@fossil warren so I got the expansion to work, apparently it was my wifi connection and only works on mobile data 🙈🥴
The rest of the game works fine with my wifi connection

This game is particularly susceptible to packet loss. Wifi connections can be tricky. I'm glad you got it solved!

VPN shouldn't work the same, since it just re-routes your connection, it doesn't stabilize it. Probably will have to continue to use mobile data unless they improve their regular Wi-Fi connection.

It could also be MTU but I don't know how that can be changed on Apple devices, I'm pretty sure the game is checking for authorization before traveling to EI, it could also be time related so a router reset might help.

Thanks I was using the search but that’s not the issue. I know you can grab it from outside but I can’t get it to turn around after I grab it. It’s either use it backwards or delete it.

Correct. It will only latch correctly on some walls. There is no fix for if it won't go correct - just put it on a different wall or don't use it.

Hey! Im in a rut because i want to make a looooooot of fences but require a ton of iron bars. I find even when mining the glade and forest with a buddy i get mentally worn out quickly, but ive only gained five bars in that time. Does anyone have any tips on routines for farming iron in the game quickly? even if just mental affirmations to keep yourself going

Have 7 mining buddies if you can. Check kristoff every day for when he sells iron bars and buy them all. Feed the foxes salmon every day for a chance for them to drop iron bars. It doesn't seem like much, but I built a water tower with fox iron. 🤣 Apart from that, iron also does drop from forgotten and sunlit also. If you have mining duties left to complete, I found it better mentally to focus on doing the mining duties for sunlit, glade, forgotten, and forest, and getting the iron as a side.

The mining potions help a lot with doing the mining duties too.
