Not really crashing, but rather you walk up to a villager that you need to talk to for a quest or just want to hang out with them, whatever, you walk up to them, and no text box comes up, and then your stuck just staring at the villager. Again, no text box, no options, can't move cuz the game thinks that your in convo w/ said villager but your not so you have to restart the game in order to get out of it

There really hasn't been main plot story since welcoming the Forgotten. Inasmuch as the Mementos were "story", they suggested that the next thing like that would start with this update, something about some new figure lurking in the shadows causing mischief and mayhem, and they mentioned the word "mystical" too. They showed what looks like a realm door with a crack on it in the lower left side of the castle. They said that it will unfold over the next several updates

Skull Rock and the Mementos were not. They were a glorified Realm and a glorified Rainbow Fox quest, respectively

The Mementoes were the items you collected to get Pluto... If you haven't got him, there are a few inventory items you get from finishing Alice, Cinderella, Jasmine, Joy & Sadness, and Lady & the Tramp, and getting Cogsworth & Lumiere from their realm, and when you have them all you get Pluto.

Yeah, I liked the earlier ones, then Cinderella's was just so phoned in. Yet another party I couldn't attend, and it didn't even actually let me choose the trauma. They could have made the choice about why you didn't attend. Instead they were just like "You were sick. You were sad."

I don't mind the fact that the Mementos quest had the "traumas" of the character, but that's because I don't treat Aerisandriel as if she's me. She's her own person with her own backstory who I play the game as and influence who she is.

Oof. You know the best way I’ve found to clear Splinters of Fate is by using one of the lvl 2 horses from Wishblossom and giving them a clear night thorns skill. Then you can gallop over night thorns, splinters of fate, probably inkies and dead wishblossoms and get rewards!

Thanks😊, I was so busy with school and other things, I didn't get to it earlier. It's only Sunday night/yesterday morning I started the starpath. Luckily, most of the tasks were easy with the dreamlight duties and the shinies being the most time-consuming. Even so, I just try to stack up as much of the dreamlight duties task together, along with the earning dreamlights tasks as well, so it wasn't too bad. Plus, luckily, I was able to get 10 shinies really fast lol.

Also, I LOVE that we can refresh dreamlight duties, so that really helped as well.

Personally I don’t think so. Look at the broken door thing. It’s three shards of an image (or roots if you wanted to view it that way). Well who has been mentioned over and over again from Jack’s lvl 10 quest to his daily dialogue even to what Flynn Rider says when you play Scramblecoin? Oogie Boogie. Jack says essentially that he never wants to see burlap sacks and bugs again. Minnie REMEMBERS Oogie and counter pranked Jack by making it appear Oogie came back. I’m sideeying this HARD as any logical person (including Minnie) wouldn’t use the idea that a villain like Oogie is coming back to the Valley unless they knew that villain very well. In addition normally level 10 rewards are related to the character, but Jack’s level 10 rewards that you get from that quest are decals of Lock, Shock and Barrel. In addition Flynn Rider says when we play Scramblecoin with him ‘Well that was better than Oogie’s games…’ EXCUSE ME SIR?! You’ve seen him?! So yeah I’m pretty sure the door is building up to more villains

He's honestly worth it. You get him, furniture, two poses in camera mode, he wanders the valley and he does Digging and sticks. Is he expensive? yes. But if I did a cost benefit analysis chart, I'd probably see that I have gotten more than my share for what I paid.

Personally I've given up looking for deeper meaning in any of the game's design. At this point I assume the night thorn volcano behind the Forgotten Lands is just a space filler. I also don't think Chernabog is actually enough of a "character" to ever be a character. More like a force of nature.

I could see Oogie boogie coming eventually, given what all you just said. Maybe even now. I'd be very surprised if it were three characters, though.

i love Pluto. I think for me, I try to remember that like. my niece and plays this game with her mom. she's 9, an absolute princess, she loves unlocking characters and playing dress up and decorating. so having this culmination of 8 different quests lead to a new character is exciting.
Unfortunately like. US, here on the server. the those of us who are launching the game the second it updates and decoding recipes and stuff... we are not the main audience. we probably spend the most money, and are the most dedicated. but we aren't the largest in number
there are a lot of more casual players and younger players and to them, it was probably a little satisfying to put all these puzzle pieces from the last few updates together and get a new free companion we've all been waiting for. especially because it was low effort maybe.

I think that Pluto should not have been the reward for the whole thing. It just doesn't fit the mood or scale. You go through a half a dozen therapy session of resolving your chlidhood trauma, and what comes out of that is.... someone else's dog. For some reason. And nothing else.

I think that Pluto should have been the reward at the end of the actual spaghetti questline where you fixed up the collar, the way the furniture Comfort Bear came from fixing the memento in Joy & Sadness's questline. Then he and all the other Mementos lead to somthing that actually has to do with the state of the Valley or the RUler or something.......

I 100% understand that coding is hard as heck. I am married to a cyber security analyst who does coding and has a degree in comp sci. And who has been your typical programmer who wakes up at 3am to run to the living room and scribble the solution to his coding problem on a battle mat so he can fix it the next day. And my son is learning to code for video games.

So I absolutely get that coding is...considerably harder than people think. But this game has been out for 3 years and never has the clothing fit the bigger female bodies the right way. In 3 years they should have figured out how to do it - and this is, tbh, something that should have been solved before the game went fully live, imo.

One problem that a lot of games have is that you can alter your character's body, but, since the actual body model is on the clothing, as soon as you put the clothes on you just have a default body :/ Maybe with a couple options, but nothing like the customization of the body itself. :/

Because in the past there have been several house skins that have prevented people from being able to even log into the game for weeks at a time. While it has been a while since that has happened, it's a precautionary measure to help people avoid that issue again.
