Pluto has a red collar a lot, but he's also had green (as seen in that gif) and even like a teal-ish color I think.
And yeah, it's confirmed. All the Mickey & Friends characters now have companion-walking dialogue that isn't usable yet, Minnie has the treats in her house... They've done everything except actually post the name.

Scooby doo's is tealish. Plutos collar has always been Red up until roughly 2021 and now they swap back and forth red and Green depending on the show he is in.

pardon me. correcting myself. They have always switch it up between Red and Green. But mostly its Red.

But it is absolutely possible that its Pluto. Hubby and I went on a Disney Dog hunt today and we could not find 1 dog that wasnt Pluto that wore a green collar. That includes 101 pups they all wore blue or red

I'm taking a break for now so I'll try later, but I think it needs to be said that, even if that works, we shouldn't need these kinds of work-arounds for basic gameplay elements. At this point we're basically just unpaid beta testers

And I completely understand, and I appreciate the help. It just frustrates me to no end how old this game is now (several years at least), yet every update is STILL chock full of bugs we have to tiptoe around like we're playing in an active minefield. As said, this is one of the most basic things, 'let two characters talk to each other', yet it's bugged out and is now roadblocking me on an entire questline. How broken IS this game exactly?

Cause I’ve been trying to fit all seeds into one island too, but I’ll maybe abolish that idea since there are probably gonna come more DLCs. And my OCD had soooo much trouble finding a layout for things to be all the same size (plots), but then there are 7 biomes in the valley with seeds (8 in total but the plaza has none of course) so it’s an odd number for symmetry, but the total count of seeds is also an odd number because all biomes have 3 seeds except for sunlit which has 4 🙄, made my husband who’s good at math sit down on my pc and calculate a possible layout for me, … I was never satisfied

I'm sitting here looking at these farm islands and wondering why. There's no way you'll ever do that much cooking that you need every crop growing at any given time.

It’s because if quests and star paths ask for it, you don’t have to wait for crops to grow and can just do the task. Also, it is practical for the achievement of cooking 900 meals and you get orbs from cooking and gardening.

I never have to pause a quest that asks for a meal because I have ingredients in storage.

But I never have to wait either. I keep two stacks of every ingredient in storage. If I dip down to one stack left I go plant more.

I don't know if they fixed it, but a few updates ago it broke so that it can only go right beside the pillar, in the smoke, on the left side.
But basically dig beside the pillar and try to plant it, and if it's available to plant there then it'll work. The game won't let you plant it somewhere that won't count

You don't need the event for Lady the the Tramp, and you don't need Lady & the Tramp for the event. They're separate.
Every day, one of those characters in that list you're showing will have a new qust. (They should turn purple there so you can see who it it.) Do their quest and they'll give you a chocolate. Gift that chocolate to a character because it gives pretty good XP.
The two duties are for doing 2 Valentines quests, and gifting 5 Valentines chocolates.

One of the characters on the event's list will have a quest each day. It doesn't necessarily have to be part of a couple. The quest each day is chosen randomly by the game from the options you have unlocked.

You don't need him to do anything. Your wife getting Merlin's quest first was just random.
If you don't get a quest, you can try talking to everyone on the list to see if they have one that wasn't showing up. If not, it might have chosen a character you don't have, and you just have to wait until tomorrow.

I have noticed that if theres gems on the mining node, before you mine it, they tend to end up being shiny. Not always, but its more of a guarantee than ones that are just blank

If you have Wishblossom Ranch, look for nodes of pyrite showing. Make a mining potion and smack them once. One of them is always a shiny one then just mine that one. Thats how I completed that task last star path

There will not be a time limit to collect Pluto, he's part of the permanent quests. You won't need to rush to get to him.

There’s a cute fish bowl? I’ve been in the house twice. I’m wishing we could have rooms designed that way. Why do I have to have a door to the next room? Why I can’t I just walk through an entry?

I try to get them to face the camera mostly. But then they like to wander off sometimes. I still think the ability to place them one at a time would be great. Also why can’t I pick the ones I want. I wanted Lady and Tramp. I got Lady to follow me to where I set up a little area for the snap. But Tramp wasn’t available to choose from the 15. I ended up trying again the next day before both were options.

I usually end up setting up what I call Villager Jail. I'll fence off a big area with a sort of airlock exit, where I can open one door at a time to keep people from escaping. Then I'll put a summoning item inside and spam that until I get everyone I want for my picture, then hang out with them one at a time and lead them to the picture area. Although now I found out about camera summoning, so I should be able to just summon them with the camera once I've used the bonfire to pull them out of wherever they were hiding

Strange how I didn't notice it until just now if it was a while ago. I remember back when I first farmed for the memory orbs for mining I would get an orb for every 3-4 areas cleared, now often times I get a memory orb in either 1-2 areas cleared

Sometimes though I got really unlucky and after mining every spot in the valley including the vitalis mine I only got 1 or 2 orbs. Now its different...

Its mainly because of OCD tbh, Dreamlight Valley says I am 100% in the collection page but I am just missing furniture, clothes, memories and the new items unlocked in this update. Eternity Isle is at 99% and all I am missing is memories essentially. Storybook Vale is at 97% and all I an missing is furniture and memories, and Wishblossom ranch is at 91% and all I am missing is furniture, clothes, critters and memories. One day I will get all 4 to 100% and it will be so satisfying

Crafting was a pain in EI mainly because of how much time bending I had to do to craft every recipe. Going from area to area clearing out each area looking for that one material was not fun. It also took forever to get all the crafting recipes for the daily material thing

Moving the houses shouldnt necessarily be an issue. I personally would never start over because i dont want to redo all the quests over. But a lot of people here find joy in restarting.

Each of the expansions comes with a new tool of sorts (in the newest, the "tool" is a horse lol), a brand new map, new material, ingredients, recipes, etc. Rift and sbv come with 5 npc, wbr comes with 4 plus the horses (khan, pegasus, maximus, and the wishblossom horse). They all have a brand new story with story content as well.

If I'm remembering correctly, dig up the bones that are on the ground around the realm, to get pieces of a key, then you craft the key and interact with the padlock. Think there's 5? pieces to collect

I have had a lot of success with WBR critters, particularly the bees, and especially the after 8pm bee.

The olny way I could see it being a problem is if someone was passing it off as their own and then trying to build clout off that, like "check out my totally original build, like and subscribe!" but we're all working in the same toybox that has limited options for us to monetize, so being precious about individual designs doesn't seem to have much point

My quest log has looked like that for absolute ages. One thing I appreciate about this game is that there's no time pressure so no consequences for not doing the quests except that I don't get the rewards. Therefore, if I want the rewards, I can do the quests, and if I don't, I needn't bother.

I need three of a particular flower for the quest I was given today, and I've only been able to find two. In my experience, flowers sometimes don't re-spawn until the next day. Vacuums are almost useless on WBR because of how few resource spawns there are 😔 At least, it doesn't seem worth it to me to pick up 1 or 2 items with a vacuum. I guess maybe if I turn my mind around, it's worth it not to have to find them 🤔

I missed the storage conversation mostly while I was trying to calm Lady down about Remy, but the thing that changed my life is putting an antique chest near each Goofy stall in each biome (or just. By a landmark in the WBR biomes) to dump stuff in so I don't have to go to my house to empty my inventory all the time. I have one antique chest in the middle of my living room so that every and anything I toss in at one of the biomes can be removed and put in it's correct storage spot inside the house 😂

after months of looking I finally got it!!

You know that's where I thought about putting my Merlin's library too! Because I thought wouldn't it make sense for him to be on one of the floating islands because well he is a wizard and he could just magic himself up there lol

I figure Scrooge is never one to pass on a little theming. I might still mess with it a bit, though. Ever since I added the designer house to my plaza and rearranged it it hasn't been quite right, and now I have the emporium to put somewhere... I just thought the well area and the castle together in bright pink was way overwhelming, but just the well area with the castle back to normal seems just right to me.

i honestly dont even know the point of the floating island?? i mean i get the decoration but thats alot of work if your doing like valley too lol

@broken storm they can be useful to decorate for dreamsnaps, or just for ideas that don’t fit into your main valley

I like having the separate areas to decorate without some of the limitations of the biomes. Like I was able to do my hollywood boulevard build on the beach island without having to worry about the weird layout of dazzle beach. same with the race track on frosted island

Yeah that's what a lot of people do the floating islands is they save them for the dream snaps or it's just used as an extension of the main biomes because you know we're going to get more characters and furniture over time

I know a lot of people use their floating islands for storage because there's plenty of space to set up a decent layout without having to have loading in between like you would indoors, and you can fast travel quickly from any of the valleys (since it doesn't have to load in all the biomes and characters)

So far I only have Mirabel's and Daisy's houses on the islands.
