Characters only get realms if Gameloft thinks they will go back with more characters - like we have gone back with Timon and Pumbaa.
Villains have never yet gotten a Realm - Scar is the best example, but Jafar also.

You know, the Winter Update would be a good time to crack open those castle wings and prove there will be many more Realms. Because it will appeal to a lot of people to buy the game.

But! NOTHING guarrantees getting a Realm. Not Being a Classic (Aurora) not being a Superstar Princess (Like Rapunzel) not having an aesthetic (Nightmare Before Christmas)... and if you consider that those wings were locked off to wait and see if the game was successful enough and most likely they decided all the Realms early on... not even Snow White would have gotten a Realm.
Realms are prime real estate, they are the hook for the game.

I know we’ve never had a realm based on a live action property but I’d be shocked if we never saw a Star Wars realm ever. Disney loves its star wars

I'm not sure it's that simple 🤔 There's not really room for more characters from Wall-E or Monsters Inc, but plenty more character from, say, Encanto which has no Realm... I think it's just a decision between building an environment, or finding a way to introduce them via valley story.
I wish Realms had more point. I'm currently not really interested in more Realms, because they're good for the first adventure, which takes about a morning, and then there's no reason to visit again

Getting a Realm depends on a number of factors, and you can just look at the Realms we already have if you want to argue.
1: Aesthetics. Does the setting stand out from what we have in the Base Game valley?
2: Headliner Characters - Will it get attention from us?
3: DLC/Valley - Is it just as easy to add the characters through Expansions? Villains don't get Realms, but if people can be relied upon to purchase a character, they'll still go to a DLC.
4: Returns - Can it be used for more character arrivals with a wider cast?
5: MONEY MONEY WILL IT MAKE MONEY? Through Moonstones, through Star Paths.

Basically, it's because of the fact that the character herself was specifically modelled after Amy Adams, regardless of the version.

There was a huge kerfuffle at one point, where Disney had legal issues with using King Louie because of how closely he was based on Louis Prima

Actually, unironically, Ice Age IS possible, there's precedent for it. The other Disney Gameloft game, Disney Magic Kingdoms, has Ice Age characters

Another part is that the style won't blend. The hook of Treasure Planet's incredible animation was its 40/60 animation of mechanical parts to organic parts, which would inevitably be lost in DDLV's CGI.

We don't know what Gameloft's contract is with how they will use Disney movies in this game

If we did, we could probably guess which movies and in what order, because of the pattern we already have.

I think the sunlit plateau crystal was moved from near the lake to somewhere in the bottom east corner (best description I can make, sorry) of sunlit plateau. The original guides usually don't get updated. if you search for the quest on here, you can usually find a map showing it's location if my wonderful description doesn't lead you to it 😂

When it was cancelled, all that was said, effectively, was that the crew making the game decided it was the best decision for the foreseeable future

Personally, I'd imagine it was just down to money - either it was seen as more profitable not to leave F2P, or the free Moonstone bundles from DreamSnaps rendered the F2P system unprofitable

Think the valley spawn times were tested by volunteers on here. They tried for EI, but had no joy in getting consistent times, at least that's what I thought happened., and going by personal experience of the Vale, they look inconsistent as well to me

The experience is common, unfortunately. They hide, really well. It often takes more days than the minimum to complete each quest.
