Yep. Cruella too. It actually annoys me that Disney is going back and rewriting the history for their villains to make them more relatable and "justify" their crummy behavior. Cruella was just a jerk who cared about fashion over life. Maleficent was a jerk who cursed a baby because she wasnt invited to a party (that she didnt want to attend in the first place - classic narcissist). Ursula was a jerk who stole a teenager's voice and then actively tried to keep her voiceless for the rest of her life.

They're not anti-heroes. They're genuinely bad people. And i think we need to remember that genuinely bad people DO exist and arent always a victim of circumstance

Kaa's quite a interesting character over how many movies and shows handle him or her. Yes, some made him a she over Kaa's simply a snake with zero gender differences. But gender aside, the actual book had him be a wise friend to Mowgli, some animated series does that too, but the Disney movie adaption had Kaa be this antagonist bent on eating a child.

However, I'd argue that Maleficent can be justified (At least the first one) because it's explicitly her retelling of the events of the film - as such, you could easily argue that it's a narcissist's take on the original story

I think the Disney Villains book series does a great job with this concept, though - it gives tragic, human backstories while still keeping multiple characters as bad people (Grimhilde, Cruella)

It'd be cool if you had to work with Aurora and Maleficent to fix the vale. Light and dark to restore balance. Maybe Hades and maleficent's war put too much darkness out there and you need light and dark to fix things.

Can anyone please tell me what quests have to be finished before part two of the Vale is triggered? I don't have Statue's Shadow or Olympus unlocked and i assumed I'd be able to start part 2 without that...its my fault and i shouldnt have assumed but I'm just asking please 🩷

You have to get into maleficents castle but in order to do that you have to complete the trials

You have to do all the trials to do "a long awaited invitation". So you'll need all biomes open and all story quests from act 1 done.

just a note: i don’t think the traps catch the new snippets, i have about 20 sitting in an area with black snippets and it hasn’t caught one yet.

The traps only "catch" 1 every 10 minutes. Did you clear them all when you first started?

They may also be considered "rare" and not show up as often (like the yellow or green birds)
