Cloud save is not a back-up. If something breaks in your game, its also broken in your automatically saving cloud save.

They do, but you cant retrieve anything on your own other than the latest, which will be broken. Imo its a much better process to reinstate my own maintained backup than have to contact support and pray that whatever save they bestow upon me isnt forever old.

My timezone changed 3 times last week between france -1 Portugal same. Spain +1 then France again -1
My pc / game time did not change
I clicked it to NOT AUTO time change etc. My games running perfectly

But I made a back up before left
And new one upon return

And another tonight

After the last hotix wiped my floating Isles I will never NOT update 2 ish times a week minimum

Even had to restart a whole new game once. An update broke my quest. They deployed a hotfix. It never fixed. I had no back up

I was raging to quit. But I couldn't. So after 3 days deliberation I hit reset.

Because the contents are determined when you open the game first time each day. if do it before update, no chance of new items

They're actually determined when you visit the shop the first time, or at least used to be. I've had the game crash without saving in Scrooge and had different items when I reloaded. So you can enter the game between shop reset and update time -- just don't go into Scrooge's.

It lets us download it ahead of time so it's not everyone in the world jumping on at the same time to try and download it, which brings speeds to a crawl and makes it take hours.
In theory, now I've done that, they just flip a switch and I can play immediately at 9 AM (or whenever they say "the update is live")

Those are part of the old quests you get after completing the main story. We got to do some friend-like things with the Forgotten and they've been the one occasionally sending in-game updates about the progress of unlocking Skull Rock since then
(whichis really the devs saying "hey, it's not ready yet, but it's coming, we haven't forgotten")

It's really a matter of preference. I would just go for whatever characters you like the most.
If you want a reason to unlock someone, Jasmine and Alice questlines might have something to do with the future main quests. Simba and Nala will unlock new fruit and fish in the valley.

13+ hours when the event count down ends it can drop any time after that once it does drop please allow up to 2 hours for it to drop on a platform near you
-reminder close game roughly 5 hours prior as not to trigger scrooges store in hopes for new new stuff in scrooges store
also replace your up to 3 main houses back to the gablefront house
remoev all pets from houses and your player and saved preset
best way pull a pet house see what critters you have out and then equip the critter to remove it from the house then go to your preset outfits and remove critter then resave outfit
this will help prevent any bad bugs coming into your game

Hi loves, this has probably been asked multiple times, but what is the quest that needs to be done in order to be ready for the update tomorrow? I see people have their orbs on Dazzling Beach, ⛱️ but mine are still in each biome.. I thought I was done with the story line. What could I be missing? Any help is great

Do you have that Merlin quest done, the one with the pillars? If so, then you're good. Some people left their pillars on the island, some of us moved them. Doesn't much matter either way, I doubt

If it's all foggy, then you have to go back into the Dark Castle, and up at the top where you confronted The Forgotten, that's where the orb is.
After you place that in the pillar, some runes appear around it, which are a guide for where to place the other pillars

And no, a cloud save is not a backup and will not protect you in case of an emergency - its job is to move your save between devices.

Yeah, I too love how accurate all of the characters are in dialogue.

When I say “I hope Peter Pan isn’t mean,” deep down I do want him to be, because that’s where the excitement will come from. It’s why I like talking to the villains because they just make things interesting everyday.

Peter Pan is not a villain, but I know he views adults as sad, miserable and burdened by responsibilities.
So I’m either expecting him to feel bad for me because I’m an adult or not want to talk to me at all because I’m an adult lol.

Another villager that I see A LOT of hate for on the SubReddit is Mother Gothel.
I’ll get like 5 notifications a week of someone posting about how much they dislike her.
Honestly it’s not hard to see why.

The only villager hate I can get behind is Maui, because he does absolutely get in the way sometimes, and doesn’t leave while he dances, and a lot of his daily discussions are about his heroism and kind of undoes the character development he got in the film.
BUT, Dreamlight Valley is set in a limbo time, so there’s no telling if the version of Maui we’re dealing with is his post-movie version.
