ngl could have it either a bit like the RO/RS titles where killfeed is a bit delayed so you dont immidiately know if you killed sm, or not rlly a killfeed but some subtle hit/kill feedback by sound like in HLL (like a helmet ping on a headshot)

oh and another great idea: Subtitles incase you didnt hear your friendly use in-game chat (build-in thingies) there would be subtitles

Well. I cant do nothing about. Whole team is busy on upcoming update. I think they will go back to suggestion after this
I bet they definitely talked about it among themselves. The dev team are also players and probably know other games.

The quesion is if they want to have it in vanilla, I don't know how familiar you are with the idea of the project itself. It is supposed to be a platform for modders, but over time, small steps will be taken to implement improvements in the future.

Generally it all depends on resources, time and money.
I don't like kill feed even as option, it makes the game unfair for those who want to play it as realistic simulator

The game will need a balance of realism elements and some accommodating more "casual" players the way it's advertised
If a killfeed would be too much at that could at least do it as HLL and give audio feedback for killing/hitting someone (helmet Ping/fleshy impact sound on your end)
I think it doesn’t fit in milsim. It should be uncertain if you go for uncertain kills through the bushes for example. As a mod it sure fits. Instead, animations of deaths could be improved a lot
Again while this has taken on the development as a tactical shooter now, (HLL counts as a milsim despite having this and friendly markers btw) it cant go too hardcore because so far it hasnt marketed itself that much as a huge hardcore milsim, and inevitably if this game is supposed to grow big it cant be too hardcore as it'd scare away players
It can have tactical/milsim mechanics and elements yes but it is the smallest corner of the gaming/shooter market and from how it was promoted this game was supposed to be somewhat a mix of things like those milsims/tactical shooters and battlefield/insurgency
so i dont think something like hit/kill feedback is too much, in fact i think thats some QOL we could need somewhat

Hit feedback is like wallhacks for bushes. It really doesn’t make it harder to play, you just don’t know if you go for uncertain guess kills.
Hell let loose has this and its not a problem
esp the newer maps are pretty big and you have limited ammo
The most annoying thing in battlefield are spot markers that reveal you through the smoke, this works similarly

Why would you be entitled to have information about concealed enemy takedown, it makes hiding even weaker
You have kill counter that you check on scoreboard if you’re that concerned
and titles like arma and squad are only big because they are big names and have been for a long while, milsims are the smallest gaming community, and so far by all ive seen OHD has marketed itself as a tactical shooter and not a hardcore milsim, drake at most made comparissions to HLL/squad but he said himself this is not surpassing Arma, and frankly I dont think it should either, you need a balance of features to allow for tactical play but also so more "casual" gamers wont just quit in confusion and rage after 1 match, especially when youve also used titles like "Battlefield" as points of comparrission for this game
If you want it so much maybe like casualfield you can have a mod that simulates more hardcore systems/elements of milsim

HLL does this with sound, you hear an impact sound or helmet ping if you kill an enemy, its subtle enough while still giving you feedback

if someone in bushes, you should still be weary even after killing them, but that won’t be the case with instant feedback

the tactical shooter genre started out first too anyway and this type of game just sprung out of it, which makes it hilarious that some ppl are calling these games "milsim lite" when literally it's all just of the same category and the term milsim (what it has become) just means the most hardcore of them

I agree with this sentiment tho, and if you think killfeed is too much for official, then again, just have a subtle/"immersive" way of giving hit feedback like HLL with audio cues

in real life you need make sure if someone is dead or not
they wanna make this game big, means it will get a big influx of players, both tactical and casual fans because on steam it's just the "shooter" tag and more importantly, its free

I think he means its way clearer to see if someone aimbotted If like in a few seconds a Sniper just gets a bunch of headshot kills filling Up the killfeed in seconds
Still, you can see aimboter, silient killer and EPS on scoreboard, people check that whole time how many kills they did
Do you think people on server will kick a guy because someone get lucky strike kills?
We have seen many times server killers on server with vote kicking and is not working. Surely no admin will set the voting limit too low because people are just having fun with it "I just wanted to check how it works"
