So, don't have tons of time to polish this post, but, the quick showcase of the 'plastic army men' map(s)/mod in the most recent video intrigued me. While I wasn't exactly a fan of some of the parts with the more glossy/kid aesthetic, the surreal layout and the map features like the prominent ramps caught my attention. What i got thinking about was some very rampy urban surreal/sci-fi/Tron-style maps. Which can be rampy without the sci-fi/Tron aesthetic but wouldn't be as cool imo <3. It's not necessarily a new concept at all but felt very compelling.
So now to try and convey it visually:
