#Good foundations, please complete this project

Strengths:

  • Good gun, character models
  • good maps
  • decent sound design
  • modding

Weaknesses/things I think it needs:

  • Most imortantly, some sort of Progression. I did not stop playing CodMw2019 until quite recently as I have more important things to do than video games (don’t let that discourage you though as I will play when I have time and my feedback will reflect that of what I would have wanted when I was a big-time gamer). The reason why I enjoyed MW2019 so much was because of the grind for Damascus, unlocking camos. In saying this, I do not want pink fluffy unicorn camos to come to the game like in CoD, that would ruin it. What I mean is that I believe that this game needs something for me to work towards. This could be attatchements, realistic weapon skins, character customisation, whatever. I mentioned playing Insurgency Sandstorm and I think that the three weaknesses of that game are Unresponsive devs (which you don’t need to worry about), low player counts and lack of friends with the game (which you don’t need to worry about because it is free) and a lack of progression. There is no motive to play other than having fun, and the grind is what makes it more fun to me. If you do wish to implement progression in whatever way, I recommend you look at that of Battlefield 1 & V, Enlisted and CoD.
  • Animations are currently janky. I suppose you know this already but if you don’t, the way the AIs crouch when hit looks weird. An animation for being hit/injured would be cool. The run of the characters also looks strange.
  • Lack of voice lines & ambience
  • Bolt Action rifles feel weightless and recoilless
  • Each soldier class is not that unique. Giving passive buffs or different items to each class is a solution to this

In conclusion:
Please give us something to work towards

I agree with everything except the progression system
Something similar could be achieved for something like a persistent gamemode where you need to loots weapons and other equipment as a mod

but for the base game? I don't think it's needed

not everything has to be about levels, skins, unlockables

just having a good match with good teamwork and logistics is satisfying enough

of course we don't have those systems yet, but adding unlockables doesn't seem like the solution for the gameplay loop
