squad bipod system kinda trash i prefer arma like
This is the whole point of making the mod to compare other mounting systems that are made for OHD to learn what is the best system for a milsim.
ARMA’s bipod system is nice, except when you’re trying to deploy it on a sloped surface when prone lol
But detecting a valid surface to deploy to should just be a line intersection from the bipod downwards to a certain deploy distance. At least you can easily have a weapon bracing system like this by just detecting if the weapon is close enough to a surface to be considered braced against it, reducing sway and recoil.
They have bipods working but it is disabled untill it affects sway. so just wait
The prone position in the game rn is human beyblade, we need contextual animations for prone movement as well as modification for prone turning speed/ general turning animation
I feel like the weapon rest system in rising storm 2 worked very well without limiting the movement of player
The RO2 bipod system in UE3 was excellent. You pivoted around the bipods correctly, and if you turned too far, your character would pick up the weapon slightly to account for the turn, then reset it. You could also duck and duck while reloading.
I am going to create multiple threads for different bipod systems and see which are the most liked and make it once I have the knowhow.
If anyone else wants to make this you will be more than welcome to because with what people have created so far there are people who are far more qualified making this than I.
