Maybe select option for AI to correct or add on it what users select. View it like github copilot chat when u do ctrl + i and in there u can do slash commands for what the user wishes.

The insertion can also take place without select, and just read the text and follow up on the place of the cursor or structure of text.

AFAIK not. I meant something like VS Code quick actions. And see /fix in red. Now for you it'd be nice to do replace, add or improve.
