  • ToonKing has an AU that he's deeply invested in fleshing out, and that's perfectly fine
  • A lot of it is rooted in his personal Christian beliefs, which I'm not gonna dispute
  • His conversion [using others' characters without asking] and blatant lifting of storybeats is very obvious. Just my personal judgement that that's not so great
  • The fact he thinks homophobia and racism is a punchline is problematic. I still can't believe he made a lesbian character that is very unsubtly promiscuous and says "I think LGBTQ+ people are an abomination but God says we must love all people and that's why you don't beat up a gay person". ?? 😄 ??
  • The incredible narcissism he displays insisting his AU is the best thing since sliced bread and "better than canon", when he's just very blatantly lifting ideas from games he's played is absolutely baffling. If he didn't act like he was literally God's gift to all geek mediums I guarantee he'd be way more tolerable to deal with
  • On that note, he pretty much approaches and guilt trips artists with zero context begging for free art because even when living with his parents at 40 he doesn't have any money to compensate artists to draw stuff for him (but mostly his Mary Sue character)

but this is just like. completely. it's guano. i have no words. the worst part is i understand the humor [it's redneck comedy] but LORD I can just imagine Sonic typing a decent response and then Harold Roxby shouting "MOVE, PIG BOY" and shoving him out of the computer chair as he writes a hit piece against Amy Rose Hedgehog while attempting to stay in character as Sonic (which is, suffice to say, not at all)

AI can generate things that look like art, yeah - but all they're ever going to make is commercial art, because all it can do is generate prompts based by user input. imo, AI shouldn't be used to replace final pieces. It's not a bad tool per se in that it cuts several hours out of drafting and angles, but yeah - ESPECIALLY with AI visualization engines now cannibalizing each other, it's going to find itself in this weird commodification soon

This is all being pulled out of my ass, but they'll likely incorporate watermarks or signatures soon so you know it's AI generated by like. Craiyon, NOT Midjourney. Editing those out would in sense violate those engines.
