#Ripping models & sounds from Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed
38 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
First of all, the sounds. These are in a STM fromat. though i don't know what tool i should use to extract them.
The models & all that stuff is in volume.dat, as noted by the filesize.
If anyone here knows how to get the models & sounds from these 3 files, then help me out with this.
can you post the evvoice.stm here?
As for the models, its in that .dat file. But thats the most common file type so i don't know how to crack that.
Some user managed to port the model from that game to a GoldSource engine game, but i don't know what tools they use to extract the model from that game.
looks like the header is FADEBABE 😄
looks like this is just a WAV archive or smth
gimme a sec, i'll whip something up
yeah this isn't complex at all. pretty sure all the sounds can be extracted no problem
Well i tried to open that up with 7zip but it wouldn't budge.
what's your timezone?
11 PM on my end.
hmmh, 6PM here.
This'll take a minute, hope to get it done in a timely manner so you'll get to hear the results before you go to sleep

here you go fam @unkempt pecan
Thanks. As for the models, well idk...
I think you're better off asking whoever ripped this one
Sadly i don't know who extracted this model & ported over to GoldSource.
Where is that pic from?
I took a screenshot from my PC.
Where did you get the model?
From what i remember, i got this from a player model pack for a standalone Half-Life mod called Sven Co-Op. Sadly i don't have the pack, but i still have the model.
Though i don't know the user who ported the model from the game to SC, & i don't know the tools that is required.
Uhhh hello...?
You still there? I tried every tool to extract the models from the volume.dat file, but to no luck.
I dunno if I can help you. I'm confident you'd be much better off trying to find the original person who did the porting job for that model
he might either be gone or absent depending on the years he's still active.
volume.dat extractor that chrrrox made in zenhax still works
Ohhh its workin right now. Just managed to copy the code into the text editor & save it as a .bms file.
Also i can say its both.
So now i have the files, now for the models. Those are in a ,oeod file, though Noesis wouldn't be able to read those kinds of files.
I even tried updating Noesis, but still won't budge.
maybe try asking some people in the xenhax discord server to help you figure out this model format.
