Honestly I didn’t like the show that much
It’s one of the two things I never really liked from Hanna Barbera

I think it’s just okay at most but that’s it

When they ran out of the original comics to adapt, they made up new stories and added a bunch of unnecessary new characters exclusive to it.
Then the final season went with an out of place time travel plot. This ended up killing the show due to viewers not liking the change.

Honestly, the original comics are way funnier. One thing it has over the adaptation is that Brainy gets bashed in the head when he rambles on.
They changed this in the show to him getting literally kicked in the air to a far distance, due to censorship. (You never see the other SMurfs kick him either)

From the comic where they find an egg that grants wishes. (Which is absent in the show's adaptation)
