Making summons is pretty difficult, but I did manage it in my datapack project
As for using items, it's pretty easy to make items with special abilities!

If there's some sort of army size limit that you want to implement, probably not... but depending on the mechanics you want, it could be a slight problem

it kind of just depends how strong they are i guess? if they are strong like have the same hp as like a piglin brute than probably like 4
