Hi guys! I'm running an UHC/Battle Royale MC comp (on a server hosted on my own PC) with my friends. I told Gemini to make a datapack to manage the game, and it looks functional. However, the problem is that I want to use MC 1.8.9 as it's the best for PvP. Do you guuys know how I can get a datapack to run on a 1.8 PaperMC server?

data packs were not a thing in 1.8.9
also - ai is useless in making data packs
even for modern versions

no i dont know of any plugins, especially in such ancient versions

You could also install some mods that bring back the 1.8 pvp in a newer version and then make a datapack on that newer version
Like for example this one https://modrinth.com/mod/1.8-pvp-mod/versions
Also paper and datapacks don't mix well so if your going for the datapack method you probably want a fabric server with some optimisation mods installed

From googling for a second, the SpigotMC server may be a place to ask
Maybe look for a paper mc discord
Everything has discords these days
And there are multiple ways to find them - including discords own discovery feature
