I use the /enchant command to test the new enchantments I made, and it usually works, but for some reason, on the /enchant, the custom enchantments won't show up anymore. I really could use some help.

Please note that you still might not immediately get a response since all helpers are human beings and volunteers (and also might be sleeping right now)
Btw my time zone is JST, so sry if I don't reply for a while. I might be sleeping or at school
You may have to reload the game
Enchantments don't work with /reload, you need to actually save and quit and then reopen the world
kk let me try
It still won't show the enchantments
Imma try again just in case
When I tried to open up the world it said this
Hi, sorry, it's pretty late for me, and I have school, so I have got to go to bed. sry, let's do this maybe tmrw
gn
hmmmmm
This means that you have an error somewhere
What do your enchantments do?
^^
whenever you're back, check output logs and send your enchantment files
When making or debugging Minecraft datapacks, it is useful to have the Minecraft logs open in order to view errors quickly.
To open the logs:
- Enable the logs in the Minecraft Launcher (see image)
- Start Minecraft
The logs should open in a separate window. Datapack errors are shown in the when you /reload and are almost always in red text or yellow text.
Hi i just got back from school, should I take a screenshot of the logs?
Just look at the errors
If you can’t discern them, send them - but only the relevant part
Idk I saw it as well but it works perfectly for me
I mean, the only thing it mentioned in the video was the essential paid features are manipulated and that ur messages are stored for ever.
So, not too dangerous unless u send important information in the chat there.
ye
i just really like the cosmetics
btw do you know wats wrong with the datapack by chance?
I've never worked with enchantments in data packs; I've always focused on making things related to explosions.
I think you can see why.
Alr thx for trying
I am not sure if custom enchantments can show up in creative inventory
I look at the /enchant and see if its there
Since data packs cannot create original items, only modify existing ones, I stopped making data packs after 1.16–1.17, so my information may be outdated.
Oh
Wait, can Datapack create new sound effects/enchantments? I thought they can only edit.
idk
you can make custom enchantments but custom sounds can only be added through resource packs.
im kinda a beginner with datapacks
I have leech enchant where if u kill something, you heal a little. I also have lucky orb, which can give 2 times the XP. Finally, I have step up, which can make your step height to 2 blocks
hmmmmm... can u post 'em?
like the code?
Yep!
@tardy wagon Alright, so....
- Did you generate these using Misode, or did you write them urself?
- Are you sure the conditions for Leech specifically work? I'm not sure that the predicate looks functional, and if it isn't, you've definitely found your error!
- You should probably give the Step Up modifier a name besides "minecraft:", even a string of random numbers or letters will do
- You can use item tags in "supported_items", such as #minecraft:chest_armor and #minecraft:swords. There is a full list of all tags on the wiki. Just make sure to not put it in [square brackets].
- Side note, you don't need to include books and enchanted books as supported items, it is implied

I hope this helps! Remember, one pesky error will make you datapack unplayable until fixed, so you likely have one little thing wrong somewhere ^^
Thank you so much I will try once I get back from school!
Btw for the 1st point thing I did generate the code
I never got to test leech because that’s when I couldn’t use the enchantments anymore
Or step up
