example pack with model and textures/images included
I used clay ball as a place holder replacement item, any would do but I'm more just interested in the ability to get it working. In its current state the pack changes the model into a missing texture pink and black cube
What does the log say?
When making or debugging Minecraft datapacks, it is useful to have the Minecraft logs open in order to view errors quickly.
To open the logs:
- Enable the logs in the Minecraft Launcher (see image)
- Start Minecraft
The logs should open in a separate window. Datapack errors are shown in the when you /reload and are almost always in red text or yellow text.
It is forbidden to have uppercase letters and spaces in the file names.
the only valid characters are a-z, 0-9, .-_
Fair enough, if I remove the uppercase is that all it takes to get it working? Sorry for the delayed response I fell asleep
I’ll give it a try when I’m back home! sorry if I’m asking a lot of stupid questions lol
I changed the name of the textures that were used from what I downloaded them as to now being more streamlined and lowercase and it seems to be working now. Thank you for the advice, I'm gonna go blast some Fetty Wap now on my new JBL speaker
