#I need a lot of help with noise settings

I've been messing around with world generation and I got quite used to trial-and-erroring some basic values tp customise the amplified preset, but I've found that my options in the dimension file are rather limited, so I looked into noise settings and my god what even am I looking at. Can someone explain to me, or at least point me to some understandable documentation about how to properly fiddle with the noise router?

Our worldgen guide has an introductory explanation to the noise settings file and density functions, and links to more resources on the latter
