What would be the best way to have an area of this size to be placed with the /place command. I need it to be quick to do because I have several different structures of this size to place.

You probably need several structure blocks for that

#

And it won't be efficient. Placing millions of blocks is not cheap

The place command can only load structures of 48x48x48 so you'd need to have multiple structures

low saddle
#

*48x48x48

dense berry
#

Oops

low saddle
#

But you're not going to have a good time with that if it's not done at worldgen stag

dense berry
#

Is it possible to use fill commands somewhere??

low saddle
#

I've made packs that place max size structures before, and it can lag the game quite a bit.

#

And we're talking 15 million blocks here

dense berry
#

That might be more efficient

ripe minnow
#

they are majority air if that makes a difference

slate dust
#

what are your structures exactly?

ripe minnow
#

they are different maps that need to be able to be regenerated when they get too broken and destroyed

#

its for a ttt style game

#

would splitting them into multiple files then using /function to place them all at once work?

slate dust
#

so it never interacts with any terrian

#

and it's a minigame

ripe minnow
#

they will be placed in a void world so yeah

slate dust
#

well you could just tp all players to a new instance of that map

#

and slowly generate new maps in the background

ripe minnow
#

maps will only be generated like once every 20-30 rounds cause people like being able to use past structures

slate dust
#

and are players tped out after a round?

ripe minnow
#

no they are put in spectator until i run the command to start the next round

slate dust
#

well making a new instance is easier and more efficient than clearing and regenerating the old one

ripe minnow
#

yes i will make a new copy of the same map elsewhere in the void world so if for whatever reason we want we can play old copies too

#

also even if the solution is laggy it would be fine

#

id just generate the map before we start

slate dust
#

if this is only for one server you could also just use a worldedit command to copy it

ripe minnow
#

i would perfer people i give the datapack to be able to use the same maps as well thats why i was trying to do it this way

slate dust
#

that's a lot easier than capturing 1000es of structures

ripe minnow
#

no sadly

slate dust
#

cuz there's no way your gonna capture 1000es of structures manually

ripe minnow
slate dust
#

well you just said no mods

ripe minnow
#

it says its client side but dik if i believe that

#

i just need a method that doesent require players to install mods

#

sorry if im being a bit confusing its early in the morning lol

slate dust
ripe minnow
#

would that really be the easiest option? i would prefer to make it easier for others running the datapack but if thats the only doable way il do that

slate dust
#

you can place structures larger than the limit

ripe minnow
#

cool

#

il go test it

#

i honestly dont understand why they put a limit in the first place i feel like if we want to place large structures we should be allowed to
