Copper Horn Lives

Hey everyone! This is a data pack that I made 2 years ago that adds copper horns, an item removed from 1.19 development. I originally made the data pack for 1.19-1.20.4 but recently updated it to the latest snapshot for the new custom goat horns.

Couldn't make copper horns craftable on the crafting table GUI, so instead you craft it by dropping 3 copper ingots and a goat horn on a crafting table.

But, if you don’t mind my asking, why couldn’t you use the crafting table gui?

The type of copper horn crafted would depend on the type of goat horn used, and recipes can't check for components in ingredients

Could you use the smithing table for that ?

i haven't tried using smithing table recipes, but even if i did, i want the data pack to be faithful to the original copper horns, which were crafted in a crafting table with 3 copper ingots, so

once 1.21.2 comes out you can do transmute recipies which will allow you to do that

transmute doesnt let you add new components to the output

how does it work then? does it only allow you to change existing components?

it only lets you change the item id

the other components are always the same as the input

so until we get custom namespaces you cant really do a lot with it
