native delta
#

it didnt work

#

playsound minecraft:block.anvil.break block @s[x=51,y=136,z=31,dx=2,dy=0,dz=-2] 1 1 1

Did you check for errors while typing? Because you're missing a field

native delta
#

ig i did it wrong

#

im sorry

still juniper
#

Pay attention to errors as you type the command in chat

native delta
#

im telling u idk how to do it

still juniper
#

I could tell you, but this s valuable troubleshooting I believe you should learn

native delta
#

im confused thats why

still juniper
#

Type the command in chat

#

slowly

#

And when things start turning red, look at what it's trying to tell you is wrong

native delta
#

wait first of all

#

so ik if im doing the correct thing

#

did i do this part correct atleast?

#

playsound minecraft:block.anvil.break block @s[x=51,y=136,z=31,dx=2,dy=0,dz=-2]

still juniper
#

That looks right

native delta
#

/playsound minecraft:mcc.sfx.jump_pad block @s[x=51,y=136,z=31,dx=2,dy=0,dz=-2] [x=51,y=136,z=31,dx=2,dy=0,dz=-2]

#

its red now

#

cuz it wanted the position twice

#

/playsound minecraft:mcc.sfx.jump_pad block @s[x=51,y=136,z=31,dx=2,dy=0,dz=-2] ~ ~ ~ 100

#

what about this?

#

these 2 arent working

native delta
native delta
#

@simple jungle

#

can you help me?

native delta
#

@steady bronze yo dude i cant really fix this issue, btw im not pretty sure that i can ping u, but the reason i did it is cuz datapack hub bot said i can ping after 30 mins

steady bronze
#

could you copy paste all the important things in 1 message

native delta
#

yessir

#

so basically im trying to make this blue thing into a jump pad, i gave the effect when someone goes there but i want to make it so once someone is there in between the two poistion and jump it will play a sound for example someone goes there jumps and it will shoot him up plus play a sound when he jumps not when he goes there

steady bronze
#

well uh

#

i guess i would

#

create a objective that detects jumping, and then after jumping i check whether the player is in the area, and if he is ill play sound and launch him up

#

straightforward

#

is that what you tried?

#

what issues have you faced

native delta
#

what should the criteria be?

#

for the scoreboard

native delta
#

i tried something similar to it but it didnt work

steady bronze
#

not entirely sure tho

#

wait i guess if its a specific block of a launchpad you could detect that block instead of hardcoding the specific area so you can build more launchpads in the future easier with no hardcoding the positions

native delta
#

turns out it was this

steady bronze
native delta
#

yeah so what next?

steady bronze
#

so is it a very specific block different from the other blocks

native delta
#

well

#

im gonna use carpets

#

and remodel them in blockbench to make it look nicer

steady bronze
#

i dont know if i get bullied for this but i guess you can use marker to tell the datapack where the launchpad is

#

ig you just stand right in the middle, go ahead summon a marker with some tag like "launchpad"

#

when player jumps, check if hes near that marker, play sound, launch him in the sky

#

should i go into more details with anything here

rocky leafBOT
#

detecting jumps should be like
tick

execute as @a if @s jumpsound matches 1.. run function jump

jump

scoreboard players reset @s jumpsound
playsound...
launch up..
steady bronze
#

what version you on?

#

for launching up you can use delta library, it can give player motion and its pretty customizeable

#

you can either use the original delta, or the fork if you're on the newest version

steady bronze
native delta
#

can i use command blocks for now

steady bronze
#

so i guess you should use the original delta, pretty sure the fork uses macros(?)

native delta
#

like i wanna do the normal hardcoding

#

for now

steady bronze
native delta
#

then ill use datapacks

steady bronze

native delta
steady bronze
#

embrace the suck

#

so you dont suck

#

ridiculous it may sound, its true

native delta
#

sounded sus 😅

#

fr

#

alr then

#

ill try my best

#

btw idk how to use marker

steady bronze
#

do you know what marker is

#

marker is just an entity

#

like zombie, or boat, or bear, or whatever

#

you can summon it thru the /summon command

#

its not something hard or something to be afraid of

#

🤨

#

its your friend alright

#

its optimized, its invisible, it has no hitbox, and very useful in datapacks
